  • This is awesome! Music is the highest form of interaction; it's just a shame we can't all listen to one another, respect one another, and learn from a bloody past and strive to make the future better for every person, every where!

  • @dstevenslsw

    Very true!!!

Why are we all forced to listen to Western music? They tell us they want peace, but Westernizing everybody and making us think they did everything good is plain stupid, that isn't peaceful, that's what Hitler did!

  • Nightingales, don't bother soldiers with your singing. Let them sleep a little bit.

  • theres so much emotion in his voice. beautiful.

  • =D very pleasant to the ears and soul =D Bravo bravo

  • I'd love to be able to sing like the frontman did - when I am of his age..!

Wonderful voice, truly goes to my heart !

The Russian Red Army Choir is the artillery for your heart and ears !

Thank you for posting this and greetings from germanys city of beer, Dortmund,

    palomino

  • How wonderful!

I am Polish, but my grandfather served in Red Army.

We are all played by the higher powers and elites, who did not send their sons to war.

We must do all we can to stop future wars.

Although I do love army songs and marches...

  • Тhе springtime came,

the springtime came on field of the battle.

    Soldiers can not fall asleep.

  • A hymn dedicated to all soldiers past and present everywhere.

  • @LEOPARDTWO

You are absolutely right. This song has no any political ideas. It is about hard soldier's service.

  • you are talking about politic but this song isnt about politic, only about tragedy of the war..

  • I live near Moscow, in our park live Nightingales. Theyr realy very aloud. Theyr songs very famous and beautiful but i can sleep. Because theyr very aloud.

  • Beautiful song. Beautiful peace. Let us keep the peace, my brothers and sisters. The alternative is too dreadful to contemplate.

  • kiedyś śpiewałam solo ,,Słowiki", zawsze wzruszam się , piękne...

  • Very good music but russians...

  • Neth93 you are an idiot, i suggest you take first some english lessons, and then learn how to respect other nationalities.

This music is a piece of art.

  • No, you're the only idiot here......

  • Thank you ^^

  • You're welcome....

I dont understand why do you hate Russia/russians ?

  • The killed Polish family..

    I hate them ;]

  • That was 60 years ago man.....do you hate germans too?

  • Yea, Germans too

  • How can you hate somebody, because his grandfather was a bad person? Following that logic i could hate germans, italians, hungarians, croats, serbs.....

  • I hate German and Russian and bye :*

  • Comment removed

  • i agree....no nation can be generalized. There are good and bad people everywhere. But in some regions there are more good or bad people :D:DD

  • thats true and in that time there where more bad people in germany than good xD

  • Well...good propaganda can convince masses to follow a crazy dictator. And nazi propaganda was very effective and had great influence on the german people.

  • yeah i know i am german and my grandad was an officer... stupid idiot he is xD but stil i like the stories he tells me about the war i like history

  • lol why idiot? Dont you honor your grandad? :D i mean after all, he served his country, despite it was a nazi state....

  • because he was a nazi officer who liked his work..

  • true but i think when hitler diddn't attack russia .. then the 3th reich would still exist because stalin believed hitler whit is non attack aggreement and deutschland and russia together as allies aggainst englisch and the americans nhaa it would be a dissaster back then

  • @RedrumSLO

it is the for which cause his grandfather served, invasion of other countries is different to defending your country.

  • In my family a war vet is a vet it dosen't matter which country's armed forces they served in. Yes i am half german and so is my grandfather how faught in WWII in the US army.

  • @Crusnik2000

That's great to hear, my grandfather fought in the German Wehrmacht during the Second World War.

Respect to all soldiers who had to witness and fight in those horrific fields of death.

  • Where Poles kind to the Jews of Poland? I am curious...

  • i doubt it juws are people who alway has been prosticuted(srry for my englisch) but first there where the egypts than the romes and in medievel times every where in europe they were killed hanged burned and tortured and look today whe havvent learned nothing from te past jews are still prosticuted sow they are just the sinners we seek for ouwer sins they have to pay for what we have started..

  • before starting tio hate some nation, read a history carefully, not only the history of the 20th century!!!!!!! or do you think Poland never attacks anyone?

  • and we are all Slavs, we have the same origins, and so the brothers kill brothers ... Poles, if conquered Moscow not exported millions of people in some shit, the Russians export to Kazakhstan and Siberia many germans, poles, and other slavs.

  • they just don't have such places where they could export, and that's all, if they had, they would.

and by the way russian government as you said exported to Siberis not only other nations, but the very russians as well.

  • and now you say on TV that Poland unleash World war II ...

  • who told you such a thing? I actually didn't hear something like this on Russian TV... you are misled

  • The text, in which the historian of the Russian Ministry of Defense to to claim responsibility Poland for the outbreak of World War II, ,,will be explained'' - informs RMF FM. Publication on the website of the Russian MON also contains a statement that Hitler's demands were justified, Poland had conqest ambitions and Soviet aggression on Poland was justified. Article appeared under the heading ''History - against fraud and a lie.''

  • in tv been too...

  • it isn't a popular opinion among russians for sure, but of course there are those who thinks so and you should judge about all nation just relying on the opinion of some stupid people.

  • i doubt poland would ever dream of attacking germany in that time, poland had an outdated military and a small airforce, when the germans did attack they charged tank colums with cavalrymen to buy their citizens time to take cover. and lets not forget about what happened to the first liberated polish airborne division.

  • polish history is hard because their country disapears and re-appears so many times. but that is good advice.

  • Im polish and I disagree with you. We are one of the oldest country in Europe. Our history is more then thousand years and there were three partition in 1772, 1793 and in 1795 by Russia, Prussia and Austria. Thats true that these countries expunged us for many years from maps but you cant say that it was many times. In the medevial we were strong and much bigger country then now but later we had bad governments etc. and today isnt better ;) ps. sorry for my english

  • your english is better than mine and im an american. my family is polish too but my parents were born in america, so im used to poland being a humorous subject with my family. besides that i am glad to hear some feedback on the subject, i will look into polish history more closely now.

  • hail from turkey!!!

  • This "tremolo" is terrible, I mean, he is good singer, but this makes my ears hurt, I'd prefer clear, streight sound, but I guess it's considered to be cool, since many Russian opera singers use it, must be some specific thing of their singing school.

    Merci

    Jackylen57

  • I hope they'll come to ankara

  • to be honest i don't feel this is one of the best versions of solovi. it's a very technically demanding song for timing and sometimes these guys seem to slip a bit.

a few members of the choir don't appear to be very into the song.

there is an older version ciruclating youtube that is full of emotion. unfortunately that version is not perfect either because it cuts into the song after it had already began so we don't hear the whole thing.

  • Spasibo ALEX za slova. Eto prekrasnaja pesnia.

  • greetings from Turkey too...just i listened to them 2 weeks ago.. which was great..... 14.000 people did watch them too..and appreciated much

  • i love red army choirs...greeting from france!quelle puissance dégage ce son...je comprends comment les soviétiques ont faits pour dérouiller ces chiens de nazis...

  • This song could easily have been from an opera.

  • I hope they come to Slovenija again some time soon... :)

  • great vid, great voices, great music, awsome!

  • Witajcie słowiańskie dusze. Wszyscy czujemy tak samo. Pozdrawiam.

  • From Serbia with love... Awesome!

  • with love from Moscow to Serbia. Hold on... and all the best for your country!!!

  • Lyrics? Does anyone have the actual lyrics? I love this song (although I think it a pity that V zemlyanke isn't performed more often), but for some reason I've found the lyrics - just in Russian even - exceedingly hard to come by.

  • I think it is not impossible to find the lirics. Very important is the idea that lies behind this lirics.

Poet, who wrote the lirics tried to convince listeners that the Soviet Red Army has not only the military aspect. Nachtingales (birds that sing in the night) symbolize a romantic nature of the Russian people. Even the extremely cruel war against Nazis did not cancel this nature.

    Уж так назначено судьбой,

    Чтоб нам уйти, не долюбив,

    От наших жён, от наших нив;

  • Merci! I could only track down one other version... listed as "Birds"! Nice to have all three verses, thanks again.

  • eske tu parles français???? tu viens d'où?

  • i posted the lyrics for ya ;)

  • From Bulgaria with love!

  • Absolutley great: I love alexandrovs

  • It will be easy to recognize the Russian angels in Heaven, they will all sound like this wonderful singer! Maybe even look like him too. ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICANT VOCAL RANGE AND EXPRESSION!

  • For one thing these guys hardly know how to use weapons. Their training is in singing. For another thing where did you get this idea that Russians would kill you (and where are you from BTW?) in a heartbeat? Seems like lack of depth of education to me...

  • e_e

    welcome to 2008.

by the way, anyone in any army could kill you in a heartbeat.

  • except for the cowboys that go to war on drugs...

  • Wonderful music and great voices!!!!!! ;-)

  • awesome

  • noone starves, guarenteed welfare benefits, a happy life, maybe all a impossible dream.. but one worth trying.

  • i still believe in a utopian society, any man worth his gold, eventually hopes war will become not needed, no.. im not a pushover, however death need not pay the way of dictators

  • Sto-za furashki, parni? Vy shto, fashistneje fashistov?

  • ¬¬

  • Well... I don't like it either, but they have great music and culture, don't they...? :)

  • kakoje eto imeet otnoshenije k dannoj pesne????

    Chtoby teb'a pon'at nujno pollitra!

  • I just finished moi pol litra and I am not kidding. I love the song but get yourself some normal furashas and stop killing your neighbours.

  • it reminds me of my father - he loved the red army choir

  • so nice song !!!!!!!!!!!

  • he cares about the mother land

  • What a magnificent tenor voice.

  • A lot of nation I belive sing about the nightingale. For example in German the <i>"Sing, Nachtigall Sing"</i> is a sweetly melodious female song. This one is good too, but of course it's strongly masculine.

  • Magdolna takes probably into account the political situation in Poland. Recently authorities took steps to move monuments in honour of the Red Army from prestigious to other places...

  • Ochen' zhalko, chto uzhe oni w Polshu ne priyedut. Tak by xotela ich uslyszet' :(

  • I just love russian choirs. The Red Army choir was here in Milan a couple of years ago and I couldn't go. I lost a great opportunity...

  • could i suggest that you investigate UKRAINIAN choirs - more original & sophiticated (no politics)

  • great army choir...

  • I love this mans voice.

They were in my city (Adelaide South Australia) about 4 years ago but didnt get the chnace to see them

  • They still perform after the dissolution I think

  • This song is beautiful! Have you ever heard them live?

  • The voices, ach, the voices.
