I've always loved his interpretations. His sense of the correct tempo was always just right, his timing like a metronome never waivered and the trills were superb.
Why have we been worrying about developing more and more technology? Steinway was enough. We should just sit and listen to Glenn playing and wait for the end of time!
@ettml: You're so right! Bach has been building a cathedral of music and Glenn Gould explains this marvelous piece of mind-emotional-architecture to us - one of the greatest artist in the 20th century!
GG blows my mind away, how can someone memorize so many incredibly complicated pieces, and keep such and even tempo, and NO MISTAKES, ITS UN BELIEVEABLE. Thank god, who gave him such a gift, that he decided to record videos like this for us all to see. What forsight

I agree, the combination of that eccentric man and that old, rickety piano make this piece glow like a Christmas tree ornament.

I find his playing so full of joy - and also, he seems to really bring out the dance rhythm which is surely so important.. Entrancing playing.

Like the Russian said, no human can play the piano like GG did; he was an alien loaned to us for 50 years.
