Logging is a big part of what is contributing to Global Warming.

They are threating to go though a very small town, we are trying to stop them, but they seem to think money is more important then safety and the enviorment!

sustainable logging helps prevent global warming. tree farms are more efficient carbon syncs then a similar area of old growth forest. that and tree farms are much less susceptible to forest fires which are the #2 contributor to carbon dioxide in the atmosphere behind bio decay (rotting algae). humans rank in somewhere around.

im sure there is a study somewhere on it. i heard it from a forestry student, i never bothered to look it up. it follows sound logic. higher density, faster growing, less decay, and profitable to us to boot.

I work in the forestry industry and it seems hard to believe. The trees I plant take so long to grow, and are planted at the same density (probably less actually). It seems like they take a chunk out of the forest and its gone for 30 years...

yes they still take a long time to grow but the yearly growth of a younger tree is much larger then an old tree. and the tree planting is much more organized so the density seems lower then it is, and room is allowed for the space needed by mature trees with some extra left for easier future logging.

good! fuck the cycle too. we are human and if we need to break some things to survive then so be it. no matter how bad this climate change scam gets we will STILL survive. in fact, a few degrees increase in temperature would likely be a net benefit to society. i find it hard to feel bad for some fuzzy things going extinct or a few thousand people being displaced by flooding that cannot be contained by any number of technological means at our disposal when the rest of us are alive and happy.
