How cheap!! its the same old fucking figure but with the cartoon colors!! it cant get any cheaper than that! i was so disappointed at most TMNT action figures. I mean, just look at the first Shredder, it sucks! blue armor and no shirt? and in a position that he looks like he is taking a shit?? WTF?? what were they thinking!!

Well, i wanted to have all the figures regardlessly, but i cant help thinking they could have been much better, like the color of the weapons. I mean, why orange?? if they didnt want to spend more money and time in painting them with more detail they should have made them all gray then, or even black, anything but orange!

Hi Mark, could you check the releasedate on your Toon Shredders ass? The releasedate printend on my Toon Shredder says 1988?! They were released 1993, right? I know it's the same bodypart, but shouldn't the date-printing be changed then.

Shredder was always my favorite toy...followed by Krang and his 12" Android Body. Did you ever like the Footcruiser vehicle? Overall, good work man! Love your reviews.

When I was a child, I had the 1989 version.

I repainted his armour a year later because I felt that having a purple helmet was silly.

I did a good job too...but 10 years later when I was cleaning out my stuff, I gave it and all of my toys, including Real Ghostbusters figurines and so on. to the kids in my street...That was 12 years ago since I did that.

1:42 the original had a "squishy head" and then later, a hard head. (they looked a little different because the paint on rubber looked different compared to hard plastic.)

About the crouched sculpt- I read somewhere that when Playmates started this line, they didn't know what Shredder exactly looked like, so they recieved a picture of him crouching from the first comic book, and copied it.

In my opinion, this is the best Shredder figure of the old cartoon and toy era. The "Super Shredder" movie fig wasnt near like regular shredder, and it was too short to be super shredder, and the original shredder didn't even have a shirt on.  This is my fav. I gotta track it down. Thanks for this review.

for awhile i was just selling some of my old junk that i dont use anymore on ebay,like old pc games,old speakers etc etc. and I used that money for the figures,so its kind of an exchange.But i also do work from time to time. For my tmnt collection check out my "turtle update #2" video it shows moslty what i have so far except laltey ive gotten a couple more foot soldiers to complete my army. oh and i dont show any accessories,there all in bags. My X-men collection video might still be up.

I have 2 of the older Shredders... (One's missing in arm and in almost perfect condition and the other... well... Complete except the cape... but looks Shoddier than the one armed one... and get this.. One armed I got at a Toy Convention with a big pack of turtles stuff for 20 bucks)

Both same Helm, spikes, Pants, But the Boots are different... One has Purple boots while the other Sports Grey.... Which one is which? Or do You know?

as I told "dragonballzaj" below you,,Im trying to mix up my reviews,for example,,this is a tmnt review,so next will be a dbz review,,and then X-men,and I intend to repeat this process,with maybe a misc figure somewhere inbetween like beetle juice or something. The Real Ghostbusters will be the next big line I need to recollect.
