I worked as security officer for that presentation. Live sounded better. But it wasn't a concert. They played around 6 songs and it was free admission. People needed a wristband from a radio station. Then it ended being open to the public.

This was before Dave's surgery and this sounds terrible compared to their show a few nights ago which had everyone going nuts. They were tight, louder, the songs were more in line with the original, and Dave looked and sounded awesome, not like in these outdoor t.v. things.

That is just a small trip. I travelled from New Zealand to Bergen in Norway to see them, only for them to cancel and move the gig to January next year. Too far and expensive to go again, so had to cash in the tickets. Hopefully the guys will come to Australia next year.

I saw them for the first time at Lollapalooza. I've been a fan for so long but I never had the chance to see them. Dave did do a lot of that but damn he still puts a 110% into his moves and still puts on a great show. DM was by far the heaviest band at Lolla even though they played a fairly mellow set. I'm not an old fart but all of these new bands can hold a fucking candle to DM. Anyways I heard this song for the first time at the show and I've listened 3 times in a row now.

I hear ya... had same feeling when I saw them in MSG. The show was everything I hoped to hear in a DM concert... yet felt completely forced and some spark was missing. I guess since Alan left band hasn't been the same. I didn't really enjoy SOTU album aside from few tracks and those are not the kind I'd go bonkers to hear live - like "black celebration" or "stripped" or "behind the wheel". Having heard these live, I still didn't get the chills I expected... something's gone. DM ain't the same.

The best ever album made by DM , without any doubt, at least for my humble opinion,was Music for the Masses (The Things you said; Never Let me down again, I want you Now etc.). I know lot of people will disagree to what I am going to say, so I apologize in advance: unfortunately the last good album released by them was Songs of Faith and devotion. The simple explanation for this assertion is based by the melodies they used to create and their brilliant sound effects. Wrong is a nice music though
