on a scale of 1-10 how difficult is it to change the blanket on Hamada 248E?....Thank You in advance.

I haven't seen the 248E, but if the system is the same as the B452A, (blankets with bar) then it is very, VERY easy. On the B452A on a scale from 1 to 10 (10 being the best) I give it an 11.

what does the bright light do on the end of the press, does it dry the ink?

The light at the end of the press is the Infrared panel. It helps to dry the ink faster (although not completly dry, as with UV inks). It is the same infrared emitter that microwaves have.

By exciting the water molecules and raising the temperature the ink dries faster becasue the vehicle in the ink is extracted faster, leaving only the pigment in the sheet.

Depending on the coverage and how much ink is laid down, full color sheets can be put in post-press processes after 15 min.
