Split them into two populations (reduced interbreeding), their genes change independently. As soon as their genes become too different for them to produce fertile offspring they are a different species by definition (macro evolution). Read a book on evolution before you comment.

@MrValidin Macro and micro evolution are the same thing on differen't time scales. Micro evolution is a change in the genes of a given population. Split them into two populations (reduced interbreeding), their genes change independently. As soon as their genes become too different for them to produce fertile offspring they are a different species by definition (macro evolution). Read a book on evolution before you comment.

There may or may not be real God(s) that started our universe, and possibly started the first life. We don't know because no one has figured out abiogenesis yet.
After that, we KNOW and can PROVE all life shares common ancestry and evolved from simple beginnings into all the diversity of life we know of. That's verifiable, factual, testable, understandable reality - no faith required. Yay DNA, RNA and genetic scientific discoveries.

Most mammals can produce vitamin C. Apes (that includes humans) can't. The gene required is there, but it's broken. Because of our diet, we didn't need it for millions of years. We only really noticed when we started going on long boat journeys with no fruit and got scurvy. In humans, this genes is broken in many places. In bonobo chimpanzees, it's broken in the exact same places. The odds of this occurring independently is 1/(12*10^36). We are related to chimpanzees. Fact.

Why would he want to create the illusion that evolution was undeniable? Why would your god insert retro virus DNA into the DNA of both humans and chimps, 16 times, where the probability of occuring independently 1/(1.5*10^123)? If your god exists, he's desperately trying to convince people of evolution.

Ok I read it and it did not deal with my vitamin C example.
It said that some things thought to be broken end up not being broken but simply switched off. That's true but not the case with vitamin C. So you have a feature that is broken in the exact same way in chimps and humans but in a completely different way with guineapigs. The break in guineapigs is independant, that why it's different. The break in chimps is shared, that's why it's the same.

Also it doesn't deal with retro viral DNA inserted by bacteria. There are roughly 40 million places it can be insert into our ancestors DNA. So the odds of it appearing in the same place in chimps and humans, if it's not from a shared ancestor, is 1/40mil. It happens 16 times that we know of. That's (1/40mil)^16 = 1/(1.5*10^123). So your god not only designed us to look closely related, he also guided independant bacteria to make us continue to look closely related.

I use to be a Christian. Fortunately, I took my soul and my faith seriously enough to make sure I wasn't being lied to. Even more fortunate, I stuck with the research long enough to find out the bible is just another godcult book of myths and bullshit.
And that has absolutely no bearing on whether or not real God(s) exist.
Seems to me, if your soul was really a priority, you'd do your homework too.
