When I was a child I grew up watching the Polka Dot Door. Many of us grew up with Mr. Rogers, Mr. Dressup, Seasame Street. Polka Dot door held a special place in my heart being a Canadian child. Denis Simpson was a regular customer at my workplace, I knew who he was and I really wanted to tell him that he had an impact on my childhood but I knew he was kinda embarassed by his celebrity. So I never did I'm kinda sad that I didnt get that chance.
How sad to die so suddenly at a relatively young age! RIP Denis. You were a lovely soul. I enjoyed you when you were on acting crazy and you were wonderful on Polka Dot door.
We have two black "craws" parenting some eggs in front of our home in a cherry tree and they are "very noisy" and messy.. with branches disguarded from the nest .. Like beavers from the sky:-)

I grew up watching Denis on PDD, and have had the pleasure of working with him a handful of times over the past several years.
Denis was such a kind and generous man, full of laughter and love. It was impossible to know him and not be better for it!
Rest in peace, Denis.
You are missed.
