in 05' we(poteet) went 2nd in prelims and got first in prelims and in finals so the best bands will make it regardless

I go to Canyon, we got 11th at area last saturday, which I guess isn't bad for our first year in 4A.

I hate to break it to you but going first doesnt hurt your chances of making the finals. This year though we will be able to give poteet a better running. The 2 years ago we were pretty disappointed with our performance and let poteet run away with it. But I mean learning a show with 5 curved sets must be pretty easy. But this year is way different gonna be close one this year

ok let me set the record straight with people who try to say that it isnt all that or are trying to say soemthing bad. "THIS IS A HIGH SCOOL BAND". i was in this band the music we played in marching band other schools would have a hard time playing in concert band. we are also a 4a school in texas. meaning we are not big and dont have alot of people to choose from like LD bell and Duncanville. this isnt DCI stop trying to judge a high school band liek they are suppose to be perfect.

michaeltlooney, I completely agree with you. I mean it was good and all but it just lacked, that WOW factor. It just didn't leave a lasting impression. Now Argyles show was just, WOW! A complete rendition of LD Bells show that got 4th at BOA grand nats. Anyway, good job. I'm not saying it was bad.

this band performance was boring compaired to argyle eagle marching band. we won the 2008 state championship of conference 3a and my band is way better than this. check us out.

what makes u think that. you know one thing that does seperate poteet from the rest of 4a and below is that we compete at compitions that LD bell, Duncanville, Marcus and longview go to and we keep up with them in ranks if not beating them from time to time. where is Argyle. not to say ur not good cuz i have seen u and u are but try and play the level of music we do and march to it. thats why poteet does so well we might not be the fastest and loudest but we excell at difficulty like those bands
