LMAO at "i suck at basketball". With a 48 inch vertical you can't be that bad. Even if you can't shoot or dribble, you get chosen first in any playground pickup game.

I naturally have a good jumping habit so i can easily get a good distance and height. I think ill try these work outs though, see if I can increase my verticle even more. Like touching the top of the backboard. Thats a nice goal...
How isn't it possible? There is no certain height a person can jump to, sure it levels off at a certain point but regardless of that the actual distance isn't a set amount. I can touch the top of the key already, if I actually started working on this I probably could do it in a year or less.
The most important thing to jumping higher is technique, you can have the biggest calves in the world but doesn't mean anything if you don't know how to jump higher

@boggy257 i know what you mean. i get the momentum off 2 feet, too. and yes, its a matter of form but i still cant jump of off one leg. my vertical jump difference is about 20'' !! i can nearly double it with two legs lol...

I hope you use the foam roll to loosen up your muscles, mainly your IT Band(outside of your thigh). The foam roll painfully loosens up stiff muscles that you don't even know you have, allowing your knee alignment to become straighter and your muscles to perform EVEN BETTER, even if you're in great shape!!!
Alsouse the foam roll on your calf muscles and shins to eliminate/prevent shin splints & prevent ankle sprains!
Im 13 and 5'6 5'7 around there and when i try to dunk the ball ALWAYS hits the rim and i fall flat on my back i have pretty high vertical and im pretty close to dunking so ima try this and make a video of the results :)
