  • @7:28 you shold flex your toes up so you are ready to jump as soon as you hit the ground, If you jump on a shotfake you may be quick enough to jump again and still block the shot =)

  • LMAO at "i suck at basketball". With a 48 inch vertical you can't be that bad. Even if you can't shoot or dribble, you get chosen first in any playground pickup game.

  • Man, watching these videos makes me want to work out to get into good shape. I mean, I can touch the rim easily, YES I am black, but that doesn't have much to do with it (ok it does a little). I naturally have a good jumping habit so i can easily get a good distance and height. I think ill try these work outs though, see if I can increase my verticle even more. Like touching the top of the backboard. Thats a nice goal...

    How isn't it possible? There is no certain height a person can jump to, sure it levels off at a certain point but regardless of that the actual distance isn't a set amount. I can touch the top of the key already, if I actually started working on this I probably could do it in a year or less.

  • The most important thing to jumping higher is technique, you can have the biggest calves in the world but doesn't mean anything if you don't know how to jump higher

When other pro mma fighters start to fatigue and produce excess acid in their muscles, GSP is just barely reaching his top end heart rate. Usain Bolt is to specific in his training (sprinting favors explosiveness in particular). Not to mention GSP's body is crazy buff.

    i see some jumpers/leapers who jump off one leg and nearly get as high as some 2 foot jumpers. can you explain this phenom?

  • @smokey5476 ThePtVids is right , but also try this yourself go to the basketball court or something and try to dunk off of 1 foot and then off of 2 or even just a layup when you go off 1 you dont have to stop yourself when you go off 2 you may loose some momentum. It all comes down to form

  • I hope you use the foam roll to loosen up your muscles, mainly your IT Band(outside of your thigh). The foam roll painfully loosens up stiff muscles that you don't even know you have, allowing your knee alignment to become straighter and your muscles to perform EVEN BETTER, even if you're in great shape!!!

    Alsouse the foam roll on your calf muscles and shins to eliminate/prevent shin splints & prevent ankle sprains!
