Hi Friend, ok, let's say you have the game installed:

Right Click on the AVP icon and a window pops up giving you the choice:

Play AVP DX 9

Play AVP (Which is DX 10.1)

Play AVP DX 11

When you open the game regularly it should give you the option but I found it doesn't always so I always "right click" then open DX11 through the options that pop up.

If you open Steam, then go to "games list" and right click on it you also get the same window with the options.

So Right Click on Icon

No, I play everynight and it' varies.

Sometimes there's 3-5 full servers hosting 15-18 people

and late late at night it might be 1-2

The game is everything I've wanted but it does need some fine tuning like weapons *no net gun, auto turret, prone position etc*

but it's FUN, I LOVE Pred but find myself playing more and more Alien and Marine, it's just fun, when you get burnt out on a race, switch it up!I have a blast and have many friends on Steam who added me! Great fun community!

All humans in the game, on that planet are *ready for this?* TRESPASSING!!! Any intelligent organism found to be on any "already occupied" Predator Home, and or hunting grounds is fair game, regardless of being armed. In the movies Predators, they killed Lawrence Fishbourne and he was unarmed, now dead.

I play Transformers, Battlefront 2, and Battlefield 2142 *Bad Company 2 sucks dingo..built for the console kiddies*

But my favorite, most bad ass awesomeness ever introduced is this game right here.

i suck with the disc..it never ever goes where i aim that targeting lazer...it only goes to the first target then as it is flying around i aim it at others and it never hits them....anything i need to know to use it better? also on multiplayer i find the plasma caster not working that well i will have it locked out for like 6 seconds and it totally misses the person

Try being very generous with the Disc.

Throw it quite often, but after every throw, clock again quickly.

Move around alot and aim for the head.

It's great for bouncing off of close quarter walls, even if it's random, someone will eventually get a rebounded head shot hee hee :-)

When targeting on the Plasma Caster, be quick, cloak after every shot, and zoom in with the mouse scroll wheel.

Get comfortable zooming in and out & canceling shots by holding the shift key

Lock on, fire.

Look for the big fire pile....get close and you'll see the pipes above...shoot the pipes and they put the fire out in about 20 seconds. *Use focus mode and it highlights the pipes as well*

it cool that the cloak doesnt drain your energy but i with you dont uncloak when you fire the plasma caster or do a kill move.

@Kuzmin1981 Learn 2 read help forums, nub. The dx11 option will force your comp to run it, but if you don't have dx11 compatibility, it'll just run in dx10 with the "extras" that come with dx11 disabled.

My game is all laggy and stuff when i play.. I've played enough to get to level 12 and its still laggy, everywhere.. Even in Storymode.. I have a great video card and 2 gigs of ram... Do i need more ram?

Yeah, if it's laggy it usually means you need more Ram. You can get the RAM pretty cheap and easy to set up etc. I upgraded from 2 to 4 and it's a great improvement.

Remember all the Ram chips need to be identical. So 4x 1GB of Ram or 2x2GB.

Depends on what kind of system you are running, and if you are running a 32bit or 64bit OS. But 4gb of ram is something I would recommend as a standard today, especially for 64bit systems. What kind of specs are you running on today, and OS?

Yes. DX9 is good. DX 10 on up is PS3 and

XBox 360 quality. DX11 anti-aliasing for the entire screen, and added "tesselation" for the alien. DX10 and 11 requires system 7 (or vista, sighs) But DX11 needs a new video card. So yes, more memory required. 2 gig ram minimal.I'm waiting on my vid card so I can't play it *too slow* but the graphics on DX9 are great!!

Most people don't play as marines cause they think they always get horrendously mutilated by the preds and aliens. What most people overlook is that marines have guns. The shotgun in multiplayer is the alien slayer.

This game sucks:I am very deluse and hurt about it.Graphic quality is at least 2 years ago(Dead Space is musch better) and direct x 11 seems not working very well (I got 2 5870 in crossfire).

The marine have not the possibility to crouch!!!!!

It sucks a lot cuz avp 1 was a very tactical shooter expecially in multiplayer.

Without crouch it is impossibile to occultate the marine behind a conteiner avoiding the laser of a predator.

I own the game and it's amazing on DX 9. Dx 11 will be had in a couple of days when newegg helps me out hee hee!!! This game does need the damn net gun though. And Aliens need to beable to spit the cocoon saliva and stick people. I give it 8 out of 10. Don't judge this video, after uploading I realized the HD version didn't even make it. I researched what the difference will be on DX11....entire screen will be anti alias and the alien had the tesselation. It will look almost identical with slightly more eyes candy.
