what happens in a complete engine failure?

Had to ask a friend in the sport, but according to him:

You just glide back down. Landing will be hard because the prop on the back creates more drag and the additonal weight of the tandom seat frame etc. means the amount of lift created by the wing doesn't overcome the weight as well.

do u mean the engine? is that the prop? well i figured that too, with thte added gas tank, engine, and wheels, the landing would be hard.

You can glide, but maintaining airspeed and lift wont be easy with the weight. Im designing a system that can stop fatality's, e.g something that can be deployed by the pilot to do somthing, e.g larger wings, some form of ejection system, a back up, hydraulics, the only down side to this is weight :S.

It looks like fun but very dangerous. Looks easy but in fact is very hard. No VOR for nav, altimeter, VSI and most of all airspeed instrument to prevent a stall. I give you guys props....

FAA regulations are litterally non-exixtant as far as these ultrealights go, the FAA wont mess with as long as your aircraft is under a certain weight.
