Most likely, this swimming pool was part of the group of structures that preceded Auschwitz. No surprise that it still remains. Cole's assumption that its presence supports any theory that Auschwitz wasn't primarily for slave labor and death is a stretch.

There are many theories regarding the 'swimming pool' at Auschwitz I. Some believe that it was a pool for the SS guards while some fools claim it was intended for Jewish inmates while others believe it was a water retention tank. I personally think that it may in fact be a swimming pool, built by the Poles when Auschwitz I was still a Polish military barracks prior to the Nazi invasion and occupation in 1939 and the conversion of the Auschwitz complex into a concentration camp in 1940.
Sad to see those poor people standing at that wall and imagining what may have happened there. Pathetic.

The location and buildings that became Auschwitz I, that is, the one filmed in this video, existed long before the Germans arrived and used the site for the concentration camp. Most likely, this swimming pool was part of the group of structures that preceded Auschwitz. No surprise that it still remains. Cole's assumption that its presence supports any theory that Auschwitz wasn't primarily for slave labor and death is a stretch.

Therefore I have to look at it empirically, and what that says, with the pool being situated in the area where inmates lived, is that it probably was meant to be used by the inmates. The Camp also had a Starbucks for the inmates. David Cole who has completely recanted his involvement with Holocaust deiners said the inmates "looked happy". All Holocaust deniers should find themselves in a concentration camp and enjoy the priviliges....the pool and all. Thanks for sharing.

This is the man who on the Donahue show implied only two casual encounters with Zundel and admitted that the man is a neo-Nazi. There are many theories regarding the 'swimming pool' at Auschwitz I. Some believe that it was a pool for the SS guards while some fools claim it was intended for Jewish inmates while others believe it was a water retention tank. I personally think that it may in fact be a swimming pool, built by the Poles when Auschwitz I was still a Polish military barracks prior to the Nazi invasion and occupation in 1939 and the conversion of the Auschwitz complex into a concentration camp in 1940.
