this song was played at my mothers funeral not because we are mad ass muthafuckers but because we had a hard life my Mother & I and we noticed that when we were dead we were free, Free of this motherfucking bitch people call the world as we know it
@aussietv2 This is the best song H&C ever did... and I love a number of them. Never cared for "Holy Grail" though... overplayed too. "True Tears Of Joy" is an underrated classic.
Great song amongst many great songs. Luv it. Standout. Thanx for posting man. Got me old cassettes out ,original and songs i taped from Rage years ago to get the name and the artist to see if it's on you Tube and far out man, it's all good.
remember breaking up with a really cool chick after 3 years and just when I thought I was over her,one morning my alarm went off to wake up for work and it auto went to radio, this song was playing and it broke me down, funny how life does that to us,have never forgot this song since then.16 years ago.
love this song for years, just the other night it was on the radio, I was waiting in my car it was raining and it was the first time I sat and listened to the words. .awsome
Just this afternoon, a mate and I were thinking back over the years, after talking with one of his young female staff. We realised that it wasn't the fact that it was 26 years ago when we were into the nightclub scene... But that the music even after that is older then she was.. And better too, we reckoned, than the current stuff. Xie, aged 46
This is beauful - my 2nd fav H&C song, but has anyone got "Hear No Evil" ? That's my 1st fav. If anyone out there has it, plse plse plse post. I luv that song and it's nowhere to be found - can't even get it off limewire!
Split Enz and the Swingers are both New Zealand bands......and Neil Finn........singer/songwriter and guitarist (basically the brains) from Crowded House is from New Zealand
beautiful song i hadnt listened to it in a while and then thought about it at a friends house. gives me chills everytime. i wish mark was more popular in the u.s.
@truespyfan - hey bloke, you speakin my language. my thesis in short is this; with the advent of access to this very medium we are utilising here to communicate, a whole generation - gen y, have been left to flounder. Why? think of shows like australian idol etc. where is the incentive to develop talent, tour pubs etc. think the whole tech thing... it seems to me that the glut of talent in the 80's was due to people having time without mobiles, 24hr TV and all that other shit that fucks gen y!
@fknucklewit Actually, I think it's more Gen X that's the Australian Idol/24 hour generation you refer to. I'm Gen Y and I'm not floundering, I'm just bemoaning the loss of what I once had :'(
why does this guy remind me of guy pearce?

Thank god for CD's cause I never listen to the radio these days..

@fknucklewit Plus the demise of the suburban Pub which had bands playing most night. All those pubs have been bulldozed or turned into eateries.
aussietv2 1 year ago 2
@aussietv2 Sadly I agree totally... There were some outstanding venues all over Sydney and NSW...
Now poker machines have taken over, latte's, carparks and $7 beers are critical to keeping the places open...
We are evolving? :(
I'm going to go listen to Spy V Spy - Dont Tear It Down!!!!
truespyfan 1 year ago
@aussietv2 The real culprit was the arrival of poker machines which made great profits for pubs, don't need live bands anymore, how sad is that?
