  • @Shadowmeridian Yeah songs are like time machines. They transport you back to that period, smells and all for me.

  • there best. like said earlier just gets better and better

  • This guy is so gorgeous in every way. The lyrics are very affecting and I like how simple the video is- we just see him and feel the passion.

  • Just this afternoon, a mate and I were thinking back over the years, after talking with one of his young female staff. We realised that it wasn't the fact that it was 26 years ago when we were into the nightclub scene... But that the music even after that is older then she was.. And better too, we reckoned, than the current stuff. Xie, aged 46

God, only 800 views? This planet sucks.

  • yeah

    sanity is not statistical

  • beautiful song i hadnt listened to it in a while and then thought about it at a friends house. gives me chills everytime. i wish mark was more popular in the u.s.

  • I rely on Youtube to get me thru day at work lately lol!

  • Where the hell did good music and shit hot bands like this go?? The 80's had so many good bands it was cluttered... Now what is there?

Thank god for CD's cause I never listen to the radio these days..

  • Yes, thank god for cds and youtube.

  • @truespyfan -- music has gone the way of shit these days. Thank God for us nostalgists.

  • @truespyfan - hey bloke, you speakin my language. my thesis in short is this; with the advent of access to this very medium we are utilising here to communicate, a whole generation - gen y, have been left to flounder. Why? think of shows like australian idol etc. where is the incentive to develop talent, tour pubs etc. think the whole tech thing... it seems to me that the glut of talent in the 80's was due to people having time without mobiles, 24hr TV and all that other shit that fucks gen y!

  • @fknucklewit Plus the demise of the suburban Pub which had bands playing most night. All those pubs have been bulldozed or turned into eateries.

  • @aussietv2 Sadly I agree totally... There were some outstanding venues all over Sydney and NSW...

Now poker machines have taken over, latte's, carparks and $7 beers are critical to keeping the places open...

    We are evolving? :(

I'm going to go listen to Spy V Spy - Dont Tear It Down!!!!

  • @aussietv2 The real culprit was the arrival of poker machines which made great profits for pubs, don't need live bands anymore, how sad is that?

  • Comment removed

  • @aussietv2 Members of a few of the 80s pub rock bands still play now and again at The Bridge hotel in Sydney, check it out on the website.

  • @fknucklewit hey man you could be very right. what about computers and face book ? is this the end of society

  • @fknucklewit Actually, I think it's more Gen X that's the Australian Idol/24 hour generation you refer to. I'm Gen Y and I'm not floundering, I'm just bemoaning the loss of what I once had :'(
