I haven't seen them in a while live but I really have to say - no offence - live he does so much worse than he used to, no matter if new modern is one's cup of tea or not, I think I haven't seen one live clip of this era where he could sing his own songs properly(?) now quite a lot of people seem thrilled with their live shows nowadays so I maybe just have a wrong impression or saw only their weaker performances? I hope so...

nope, you're totally right... Daniel ruined his voice cuz he started smoking weed when he was with the dissociatives, he is now taking singin lessons and he quit smoking... well that's what he says...

lol - I called young modern "new" modern -sorry. are you sure he has these problems cos of smoking weed? cos I just heard he had some health issues with his voice which would explain a lot - especially that straight lines performance at jay leno`s... I mean that really can`t happen from smoking weed can it - maybe if he smoked like three packs of cigarettes a day which he hasn`t done I hope lol. however him quitting smoking is a good thing!

well that's a question of how regulary you smoke them. if you're a heavy smoker it's defintely worse for your body than if you join some weed smoking at the weekends. besides not every smoker prefers filtered cigarettes. however both is a matter of handling but for cigarettes give you nothing but some addiction after some time I'd go with the weed, however I don't do both.

Daniel has confirmed that "Sleep All Day" is not on "Young Modern". it was recorded during the demo sessions earlier in the year in australia but was not cut for the album during the Nick Launay sessions in LA because it didn't fit the direction they wanted to take the album.
