Thanks! I'm just now starting to realize I may have some kind of low level bipolar and its scary. I'm 38 and its just been getting worse over the years. They have diagnosed me with depression but that still doesn't explain all the mood swings and the SSRIs just seem too swing me from hypomania to depression and keep me unstable. I'm tired of it. Thanks for being so inspiring and down to earth and cute!
wow..Just want to say that this is one of the few videoes out there who really struck a nerve in me. It's like u're talking about my life. I don't want to share too much info here of my own life because it's an open forum. But I can tell u that I have the same story, All from the ten years of not making the connection (actually from 1998-2008) up to the ideas u (as me) get when in hypo. That's when I laughed,so THANK U. Because it's a condition/illness that's so hard to describe.
I've had bad experiences with anti-depressants as well. I have bipolar 1 and took the anti-depressants before I was diagnosed. Now I take anti-psychotics which work well for me but I still refuse to take anti-depressants because I don't think they work, personally.
@BipolarStateofBeing Yeah I have heard a lot of good things about Zyprexa. What does it feel like for you? Does make feel normal, or depressed, or happy? I am mainly worried about the weight gain, since I worked my butt off in the gym trying to keep the weight off. Does it make you feel disconnected? I remember years ago I tried an Anti-psychotic just 1 time called Trilofon or something like that, and it me totally pass out, I slept great, but felt totally hung over the next day when I woke up.
@braindetective The only negative side effect I've had is weight gain. I do feel pretty normal on zyprexa...haven't really had any manias or depressions since starting it. Definitely the best med I have tried.
Hey man, Great videos, my ocd kicked in tho because of your video lol, there is a mark on the door and i cud not help myself trying to rub it off, i got realy annoyed when i cudnt get rid of it.....anyways, i think i'm bipolar but i havent seen a doctor or anything yet....
@SixxComputers Thanks for your compliment and watching! I'll remember to take the mark of the door next time :) hope you can go see a doctor, its a rough thing to deal with, maybe there is a medication that can help you.

@BipolarStateofBeing Yeah those antidepressants messed me up pretty bad! Which anti-psychotics do you take? I am interested in trying them.

@braindetective I've tried risperdal, abilify and seroquel, all which had unbearable side effects. Now I take zyprexa and it works very well for me.
