I found a zombie spawner at ground level just off my beach and in a shallow cave. It was clearly visible and there was daylight light 3-4 blocks from it.

They are located most of the time underground and they can be identified by mossy cobblestone (natural cobblestone with green lines) in there you find a a spawner

i got 3 mob spawners close together, linked them all with 2x1x2 canals and set up a lava blade. now its about as effective as my dark room trap =)

@HaloRedZone This doesn't work for spiders anymore. When I created this trap spiders couldn't climb walls. When I find a spider spawner I will make a tutorial for a spider trap :)

@HaloRedZone just make a lava blade at the end of your water slide thingy and cove the top (1 block above it) with stone. you wont lose any drops
