why do you say you were blind? what in the scripture changed your mind? Christianity is not biblical. Christ did not come to establish Christianity! He came to set up the Kingdom. The religion of Christianity and it doctrine is just Roman Catholicism brought in by Constantine. Don't go back to pagan Christianity and go back to the Bible and Hebrew text.
Paul wrote to Timothy prior to AD 70 so 2 Timothy 2 does not apply to the full preterist view. I find it odd that one in Thessanolica could have been deceived by false teachers who were supposedly saying dead bodies had come up out of the ground. The resurrection was spiritual and it took place in AD70.
Hmmm, I had to look up preterism and full preterism, I found it odd that it can be taught while holding a Bible saying 2 Tim 2:18...
I was lead here through Shai's channel btw, good stuff, it's like a bittersweet thing to realize miseducation, the sweet grace and patience of God and the reality of our arrogance, pride and foolishness haha
I know we're not supposed to strive for respect but I really respect you at this moment :)
I'm an agnostic-atheist and I, for the most part, agree with a full-preterist interpretation of the NT. That is, I read it as though ALL of the prophecies were to be fulfilled w/in the 1st century; including the bodily resurrection. This, as you know, did not happen.
The problem is, the proponents of all versions of NT eschatological views fail to recognize this.
Jesus didn't return "soon" or within "this generation" to resurrect the dead, restore the kingdom, judge all mankind, etc...
Well Neb, the seven year tribulation is over. Praise God. I'm going to publicize this video in my own circles because you say some insightful things-- seeing things right in your own eyes, a fine line among a lot of truth that can lead you astray once overstepped, etc, etc. Thanks for this bro now both of us can pray for Allen Bondar.
This is a blessing Neb...it takes me back to several of our convos about it when we were in Florida together. I knew that it will take the Spirit of God because for every answer I gave you, you always had something to say in return. As Tozer once said, you can't reason someone into the faith otherwise someone with more eloquence and persuasive skills can reason them out.
I love testimonies like this because it reminds me how powerless I am and how powerful the Spirit of God is.
Jason, well said. But now what? I was heavily into preterism but am now more an idealist. What got me out of it was N.T. Wright's 3 book series. It's a long read but worth it. Nevertheless, I still learned a lot from Preterism in seeing the history of the time and what it meant to them. I'm still searching for answers of how to interpret a lot of the timing verses but have taken a break from it for the most part. Thanks.
Jason, I'm still waiting for either you or Sam to explain what it is that you guys have now embraced. Are you now expecting a bodily return of Christ in a cumulus cloud? Are you expecting billions of flesh and bone bodies to come up out of the ground? Do you now consider yourself futurists? You two have really confused me. Many questions remain.
@coper11 Why are you waiting? Sam has done at least a dozen or so articles on RCM so far. He is cranking them out fairly quick. As for me, i believe in a future coming, resurrection of bodies, a final judgment, and end to history as we know it. Sam has spelled some of this out as well already on RCM.
I really don't see how Full-Preterism doesn't destroy the biblical doctrine of justification. If faith was not enough to assure the 1st century Christians of their justification, if what they needed also was empirical evidence - i.e. the destruction of the Temple in AD 70 - then somebody please explain how they could have believed justification was by faith alone, and not instead by faith and sight? If faith alone is not sufficient for assurance, then what we have is the Galatian heresy.
Sorry to hear that you have somehow been able to "unsee" what you once embraced as truth based on Scripture. My first thought was akin to "Luther has returned to Roman Catholicsm." Though I'm not sure how it's even possible, and I pray that you find the peace you seek, denying fulfillment in favor of tradition is not the answer brother. I have both love and respect for you and Sam, and I hope you both find your way back. Randy
Praise the Lord for His revealing light. I am blessed by your humility in this video. I know you not from Adam, but your humble spirit is very familiar. Keep searching for truth brother, and may pride become foreign to us. Praise, honor and Glory to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
Premil Amil Postmil all teach the 1000 years is ongoing still (or Premil - has not begun). Yet there are Partial Prets teaching Heaven and Earth already passed away and that we are in the New Heavens and New Earth - then these should be past too.
Revelation 20 7 When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison ...11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them.
@steelswann There is an assumption on your part that Rev 21 follows 20 chronologically. That may indeed be the case and i'm not saying i agree, but men like JS Russell certainly didn't think so and he wasn't a full preterist. Point being, you don't give me anything exegetical to chew on. Further, all you're doing is trying to build a view off of the "inconsistencies" of others…ok…what's that gotta do with exegeting texts?
Praise God!! Full preterism is a damnable heresy. Your humility in this video is quite refreshing. May I suggest getting ahold of "The End of the World According to Jesus" by Dr. Robert Morey.
"At war against Christianity". Yes, sir. Thankful to hear you say those words. "Full Preterism" is another gospel. It is going in the opposite direction. It is not Christianity.
Don't give up. How thankful I am to hear you say you tremble as you do. Praise God for your words, and for the encouragement they bring.
You have given me some hope and encouragement by these words.
That's very humbling bro. I think in a way it's kinda similar to those who came out of Word of Faith and became reformed. We all have humbling experiences in our lives and this was one of yours. All glory goes to God in the end.
Jason, this is shai. Praise God, man! This is an answer to prayer. The Spirit truly leads His people into all truth! All kinds of evidence of God's grace in this video. Be encouraged, fam.
@peneljudd Shai, great to see ya man! We haven't chatted in awhile. Thanks so much for the encouragement and prayers. Very humbling to know that others have been praying for me during this time. Glory to God!

@coper11 and what, according to you, was a "sign" that the resurrection had taken place? The destruction of the temple?
