  • Miles Davis is awesome. Wayne Shorter is awesome. John McLaughlin is awesome. Chick Corea is awesome. Joe Zawinul is awesome. Dave Holland is awesome. Tony Williams is awesome. Awesome job on this awesome album, fellas!

  • Most of the stuff is written by Zawinul, folks.

  • @stefandetrez this is not only about who has wriiten...

It's true, most of the stuff is wiritten by Zawinul. But no one has never played this at the same level of concetration, invention, and intensity. It's mostly Zawinul's writting. No doubt about it. But Miles, since the 50's had been showing that the song belongs to the performer as much as to the writter. There is "Old devil Moon" and there is "Old Devil Moon" by Miles. Anyway this is a masterpiece.

  • @moonlightdriver800 Thank you for the clarification. I just love this work. I've been listening to this for years and it never grows tired. You make a great point when you say that the song belongs to the performer as much as to the writter. I will remember that.

  • @stefandetrez Thank you very much for your kind comment. It's so unusual to share such a polite comment. Thank you again. Since I've listened to this song it got me hipnotized, I soon fell in love with Miles and Zawinul. They made such a great partnership, they were breaking ice that moment. And it's amazing how this music is ageless.

  • The unchallenged master of trumpet. His sound will always be the standard by which jazz music will forever be measured. Amazing doesn't begin to describe what he's done for the sake of evolutionary performance. Truly a legendary contributor to an unprecedented art form. The days when Jazzmen walked the Earth.

  • yeah, this is great from the bottom to the top with a sustained intensity!!!
