  • I LOVE IT :)))

same dance als albanians have !! pozdrav !!

  • strahotni saaa !!! :)))) BG!

  • how come the fustanella is part of this costume?

  • @bylysi it was spread all over the Balkans, you think 200 yrs ago people wore different clothing according to their ethnic group?

  • @Huyedelomalo

no they all wore armani and went to party fests.this clothing is ethnic costumes so yes it belonged to a certain group.200 years ago and today is not the same

  • @bylysi wrong, as you can see they wore them even in the Pirin region, far from Albania

not to mention the Greek guardists on Syntagma in Athens

  • @Huyedelomalo

ok well do you actually know or have any idea how a slavic group came to wear traditional clothing of another group? you do not actually believe this is slavic clothing do you? Modern Albania as a country does not nearly represent its ethnicity which was and is still is very spread in this peninsula. And about the costume in greek i would have to explain a lot to you if you have no beginners knowledge on the issue so i am leaving it alone.

  • @bylysi Well you can try an explain what you think, in a priv msg cuz this form here is too short.

I actually agree with you that Albanians are not confined to their present borders, which is easy to see by comparing Albanian and Romanian language.

Do you have a better explanation on the costumes? But pls not the good ol' Balkan nationalist crap, if I want to listen to this song I don't need you to sing it to me.

    Cheers

  • @Huyedelomalo

ok . i don't mean to insult you. To explain all the aspect of how this costume came to be adopted by many ethnicities then we have to go back a few centuries and see the world for how it was then but for now i can just tell you that these costumes are autochton to the Illyrian and in a certain extent to their cousins Thracian and ancient Macedonians. There is a sensible explanation of why these mainly slavic dominated cultures would have this costume if one wants to see it.

  • The sensible explanation being the assimilation of "Paleobalkan" peoples by the Slavs? This is no news, it can be proved by any DNA test... Although Slavs were neighbours to the Thraco-Moeso-Daco-Dardano-Illyrians across the Carpathian mts so their DNA wasn't so different anyway. But just go and have a walk in south and west Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia or East Croatia, and you will see the same faces as emperor Diocletian, who was Illyrian... I haven't been to Albania unfortunately!

Long live bulgarian folklore!

  • Turkish folk music is HORRIBLE AND UGLY, sorry. You wish Bulgarian hand anything to do with it! Sorry :)

  • @Bulkhan Pfff! Stupid...

  • This drum come from the Turkish as many other things... And derbouka or doumbek... All the world know that originally know Turkish...

  • Bulgarians were probably playing a Persian lap drum long before the Ottomans came to the Balkans. As for the tupan, how can you even say that?!? The tupan was played in the Balkans long before Turkey even exhisted, while the Ottomans were still swinging from trees. And who is "the whole world", you and your sister?

  • that's because the fustan is worn throughout the Balkans, only with different outfits for each tribe

  • @KaxiLaxi maybe thats because bulgarians have thracian roots.... who are sometimes believed to be related to pelasgians/illyrians

  • @sweet4melody but dunno if thats true though...
