I was fifteen in 65. These were the days when music was the best. It seems that a new song was out every week. We didn't have any garbage like that rap crap that is playing today and passed off as music.
The overdubbing is forgiven since it was lip-synched originally. The electric guitars are not plugged in.
Apparently this was the first song Sylvia ever wrote. A great start and she`s written some other super songs. This was a good cover, as was Serena Ryder`s and check out the Oh Susanah and Jim Cuddy cover of this song.

Thanks for the improved audio, which is not so good in other YouTube videos. This is one of my favorite 2 or 3 songs from the Sixties.

A end of a national happy time. It was still fun to be young and 'mod'.
Pres Kennedy had just been assassinated but we had no idea of how much worse things were to become.
The Vietnam war, it's protests, the drug scene, racial protests, etc hadn't turned ugly yet.
Yes Ian and Sylvia sang this at my upstate New York University campus.

Great upbeat version that popularized the song
written by Sylvia Tyson in 1964 and originally performed by Ian and Sylvia
