This was a great audition. I'm sure if someone like her was to enter into the MakeAStar they would totally win. MakeAStar is this pretty cool website where they host new contests every month. Its easy for anyone to enter, just go to the website and get yourself out there.

I watch these talent show auditions excessively... as in all of the time. There are so few that are truly this memorable. The power of this is even more impressive consdering that she is singing for just slightly more than one minute. I have watched this over and over and it never fails to totally amaze me.

Diana Damrau and Lys Agnes are nearly as opposite as possible. Diana is a coloratura soprano and Lys is a mezzo soprano. Lys may have a vocal range similar to Kathrine Jenkins who is also a mezzo soprano. I wish Lys would concentrate on opera, but I do not think she will.

She has a genuine talent for what she does - but the thing is, it's not as widely popular in this are as what some of the other contestants are doing. They're doing more highly recognized songs that lead people to think, "Oh, they're singing a song I really like - they must have the same taste in music as I do!" That's one thing right there that they're going to like about that performer over others. It's less about talent and more about mass appeal, unfortunately.
