@boy638 You lower the text opacity. In the layer box where it says "layers" and you see your layers like the text and stuff. there's a section called "opacity". Just toggle the little switch thing till it gets as light as you need.
@ShaheenShine123 and after you select paste as brush go to layers and create a new layer. make it transparent. Then you can make your brush transparent and what not.
Couldn't you just File->New->Advanced->Fill With Transparency, rather then adding an alpha channel and deleting the background? Seems faster and easier..

Or you can go to background layer and click it, goto opacity, and out it to zero to make it transpatent. Its faster
