Neil at the Mother Church of Country Music, The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Such a pretty song, great vocals by Neil and Emmy Lou Harris. Neil is actually in the Ryman's Hall of Fame. Hard to believe the versatility he has, playing lullabies on one set, screaming electric on another. He just seems to have gotten better throughout his career. How rare is that?
But this was such a sad event too, nobody of the audience nor the musicians knew,if they could see him again after that concert,he had already go to the hospital, because he was very, very sick, you hear it in the voice, this man is emotionally touched, broken and still wonderful, many had to cry this evening,i saw the liveconcert on t.v.,will he return alive,or will he be forever gone...one of the best concerts i ever saw, hope he is better now!
The way Neil Young did the Introduction. Telling the story about Hanks old guitar was really nice.. But did anyone happen to notice the 2 other thing's he did to pay Hommage to Old Hank Himself? Well i noticed them right away. But i have watched video's of Hank on T.V & youtube. When ever Hank start a show. He always tilted his head & looked to the Heavens. Then raise his right hand just like Neil did. This shows that Mr. Young HAS alot of respect for Hank & That Guitar. Thumbs up 4 Neil Young.
that was wonderful. yes, goosebumps. This is #79 on my Shakeys top 100.
thrasher used to be my fave. before that it was southern man, before that it was after the gold rush and cowgirl and river and then greendale. what a fg carreer. how can anyone not love neil. betherain. betheriver you natural beauty.

Ive been looking at a lot of Neil videos this week and he is the only artist I've found without a bunch of 'dislikes' on each song. Love him or leave him alone!
One of the best performances of a song that there is. Very soon after this show, Neil was scheduled for brain surgery and he did not know what his singing, playing, composing skills would be afterward, if any at all nor whether he would survive the surgery. Many artists would have canceled this show, but not Mr. Young. He's one of the very best.
