Kitesurfing with Dolphins / Kitesurfen mit Delfinen

i wonder if dolphins are just stupid, to swim with and unidentiefied object like a kiter, wich could be harmfull, or if they are very clever and have studiet kitesurfers, and know that they are friends :)

echt schön. ich konnte beim segeln ein paar mal welche am bug anschauen. sehr geschickt, wie sie "blind" umeinander schwimmen können.

das ist ihnen hier ein bisschen schnell. vor lanzarote hatten wir mal gemessen, dass etwas kleinere delfine bis 8 kn noch mithalten konnten, aber nicht lange. :-)

@fuser241 hello & thanks. i have no idea if it's normal. we´ve been there for 17 days and in these days we´ve seen them twice. but every time there were dolphins out in the water the locals went crazy...to me, they didn't seemed to be used to them :)

hey man,.. klasse Aufnahmen. Aber ne Frage. Aber halsen wie beim Surfen ist mit Kitesurfen nicht? Das Wenden wirkt fast langweilig. Aber ansonsten echt klasse Einstellung. THX to post it.

@MrFernsehkritik Hallo! Danke Danke. Es gibt beim Kiten verschiedene Varianten die Richtung zu wechseln. Die im Video zu sehende ist die sogenannte Straßenbahnhalse. Die ist auch recht langweilig :) Dann gäbe es z.B. noch die Variante in der man, bevor man die Richtung ändert in "Switch" geht (da fährt man auf der Zehenkante) und dann die Halse fährt. Die lustigste ist eigentlich die Transition - also eine gesprungene Richtungsänderungen. Kann man mit Grab, Rotationen usw. usw. kombinieren.

Aber halsen ist beim Kiten bei weitem nicht so anspruchsvoll wie

beim Windsurfen.

There is no need for being jealous...for that spot i spent 4 hours in a plane and 3 hours in a bus. My homespot is a very crowded & choppy lake in Austria :-)

Its one of those videos that did not need music in the background it was just awesome to watch. Worked pretty good as an instruction vid to on proper stance and good kite control as a byproduct of the video....score.

Bin in 1-2 Monaten auch in El Gouna Kiten, hoffentlich hab ich auch so viel Glück, hatte schonmal als Taucher in Ägypten das vergnügen. War auch sehr geil, meine absoluten Lieblingstiere.
