This was Friz Freleng's only attempt at directing a Road Runner cartoon (his credit as "co-producer" for the 1965-'66 RR&C series, with David DePatie, was required under his contract with the studio; Herb Klynn's Format Films actually produced those). Friz added Speedy and Sylvester as well, blending stock footage from earlier cartoons featuring all four characters.
