Well the hadith is not sahih (strong/trustworthy).

Allah cares only for what is in your heart.

If you wear a gold ring but you do everything else right, Allah will love you.

But if you don't wear a gold ring and you are bad, Allah will be sad.

As a trained musician, I will tell you that the necessary training and vocal inflections for this style of chant are very difficult.
