It's going to end here sadly in Canada too by Aug 31, 2011. All the old tv transmitters and tv set receivers maybe can be shipped to Third World countries which can use them.

Damn...I missed the transistion...we didnt have any old TV's so I didnt get to see it. And we could start a pirate transmition with our own anologe transmitter! just think we have that whole bandwidth to our selfs.!

I have cable. This is an old 1983 Zenith (serial Z1908W) that I pulled out of the attic. The antenna is a wire coat hanger :P

There is still a signal we simple have to tune to the new signal and thats what the boxes are for. Its not like TV signals are gone as of June 12, 2009. That there would be a big big deal.

Yes!! Was hoping somebody would mark the occassion. News reports are just blah, blahing about how to hook up your box. A look at the history of television from the 50s til now would've been good.
