  • Too high a sink rate caused by loss of thrust on the one engine. Hits too hard, pio's the airplane for the 30 or 40 landings it took to get her down. FAIL!

  • @sakoshooter48 stop babbeling. you dont even make sense

  • @LufthansaA343 REALLY, THAT ALL YOU GOT YOU SMARMY FUCKING KRAUT!? You no speaky engrish! You know, the language of aviation. Let me 'splain it to you then!!!!! The Iranian Airforce pilot had is Mig-23 configured in such a way that he was in an overly high sink rate on approach. At such time he contacted the runway, and in doing so, exceeded the limits of his landing gear, causing the aircraft to bounce into the air. Typical of undertrained pilots, he overcorrected for pitch.

  • @sakoshooter48 This exacerbated a condition known as PIO, or for you flying underachievers, a pilot induced oscillation. 30 to 40 landings later (please see the humor here), the evil Iranian crashed his fucking brains out!!!! If it had not been for the exceptional Russian ejection seats, he would most likely have perished in the fire. Oh and I miss- typed the aircraft, so before you get all agitated, for the record, it was a Suknoi Su-24 Fencer. Are we unbabbled now.........fucking idiot!

  • @sakoshooter48 wow you need to learn English...and also i think you need some anger management classes cause i didn't talk bad about you or called you names...and you don't need to tell me what happened cause i can see it and i have a Pilot license and being schooled for ATPL right now. You are still babbling cause you probably got that from the internet. so you just need to stfu and wank off somewhere and don't write back.

  • @LufthansaA343 Why, did I hit a nerve? OOOOOO going for the big pilots license! Oh god, I just shit myself!

  • @LufthansaA343 Oh, I do believe you started this little flame fest, deal with it, or are you French???????

  • @sakoshooter48 i did not start anything. you started calling me bad names. and no i am german not french but i used to live in the US. doin my ATPL for LHCL

  • @LufthansaA343 I think it was the babbling comment that pissed me off. Not prone to babbling, was an observation as to the methodology of the Su-24 crash. Sorry if my 25+ years in the industry observation didn't meet your scrutiny!

  • @sakoshooter48 I guess you might possibly, maybe, be right, if it was a MiG-23, it is not a MiG, it is a Su-24, as the title of the video suggests. might I also suggest anger management courses, to go along with your aircraft identification courses you need to apply for at your local air force academy?

  • @skatecubed And obviously you can't read. Please apply yourself again and read the WHOLE post. And I thought I had issues!

  • @sakoshooter48 And Again, I point out that for starters, you incorrectly identified the aircraft, when it was even clearly identified in the title (might want to read that again) Also, you state the pilot had his Mig-23 (wrong aircraft) incorrectly configured for landing causing a high sink rate, reality is, he had engine trouble, and the lack of thrust is the likely cause of the crash, not the "incorrectly configured" aircraft, this also likely prevented him from going around.

  • @sakoshooter48 I would like to also point out, it is obvious where you are from, not only from your profile, but from your arrogant attitude, especially in calling @LufthansaA343 a Kraut, because he countered you, and your attitude that the pilot must have been inferior and untrained (most likely because he is Iranian)

I would also like to agree with your own statement, "And I thought I had issues!" I am sure most of us here are in agreement with you, you clearly do!

  • @skatecubed Are you going to make a point anytime soon? Again, please reread my post and you will see that I corrected myself. As far as inferior goes as to the Iranian pilot, nothing to say here, historically they are terrible pilots. That is another story for which I doubt you are ready to deal with. Lufty boy deserved being called a Kraut as he shot off his fucking mouth before engaging his brain, as you have done now on several occasions! Is there anything else you need to whine about?

  • @sakoshooter48 You really are an arrogant piece of shit aren't you! Iranian pilots have not been historically terrible pilots, That is just an arrogant yankee belief, propagated by the US military and media, also, you never corrected your inexcusable mis-identification of the aircraft (it was in the title dumb ass) and Lofty boy as you call him now did not deserve that, he was right, what caused the accident was not PIO, so much as an turbine failure, you are full of yourself.

  • @skatecubed Not arrogant, just better educated, better informed, do the job every day, and get a kick out of pulling shitheads like you out of the dark! Methinks you wouldn't know a PIO if it jumped up and bit you in your sweet little ass! You are truly a seriously fucked up individual if you cannot read through my post and see where I missidentified the Su-24 as a Mig 23 and then corrected myself. Arrogant Yankee belief, no, just supremely better informed than you.

  • @sakoshooter48 Please, point out your correction to this ignorant foreigner, if it exists, you may find that difficult though... Better educated? Doesn't really show! What exactly do you do? fuel up small civil aviation aircraft at some small grass strip? little aviation question for you, "step on, or off the ball?" please answer, it will tell me allot... and yes, arrogant yankee indeed!

  • @skatecubed This exacerbated a condition known as PIO, or for you flying underachievers, a pilot induced oscillation. 30 to 40 landings later (please see the humor here), the evil Iranian crashed his fucking brains out!!!! If it had not been for the exceptional Russian ejection seats, he would most likely have perished in the fire. • @sakoshooter48 funny, the only thing that changed in this reply, was the aircraft type, after it was pointed out to you several times, and I am well aware of what an PIO is, my point was simply that the high sink rate was not cause by pilot error, but mechanical problems, yes, he bounced, but likely did not have the means (power / thrust / speed) to overcome the resulting oscillation, (not really a PIO), if he tried to recover from the "PIO" he would likely have stalled the aircraft...

  • @skatecubed Wasn't that the whole pointless gist of your rant, that I had misidentified the Su-24 as a Mig-23. Is it a mechanical malfunction? You do know that the fuel dump mast of the Su-24 is located between the lower aft junction of the two engines, much life the aircraft it was copied after, the F-111. Even if he had lost an engine, he should have been able to arrest an excessive sink rate prior to final. "Maintain thine airspeed lest the earth rise up and smite thee!"

  • @sakoshooter48 What you see coming out of the aft part of the engines appears to be jettisoned fuel, if it where smoke it would linger, this lays right down. This guy simply botched his landing!

  • @skatecubed Dear God, how I want to step on your balls right about now!

  • @sakoshooter48 not an answer, a nice little immature attempt at getting around answering the question, please answer it. "step on or off the ball?"

  • Iranian pilot FAIL.

  • Amazing. You can actually hear the ejection seats fire at about 2:55

  • hahaha nice crash

    lame iran!

  • GO AROUND!

  • this happen for evry country so you atke easy man!

  • lol pilot error no way, this was all plane malfunction.

  • One of the causes seemed to the sharp landing angle or off chart downward vertical velocity. The reason behind it could range from sheer pilot mistake to pneumatic system malfunction or both. One possible scenario might start with the sharp landing angle and/or high landing speed making the airplane bounce up and down and that be the cause of pneumatic malfunction.

  • @dutchvolofan ,well video is very odd, but I looked at other Su-24 videos and noticed that bouncing is a common, the engine problem was pilot error, I am guessing that he started to lose engine power, and firewalled the throttle to max power to keep up engine thus compounding what problem he had

  • @verdebusterAP, i agree, that could be an option. one more thing, it also could be a unfortunate try for touch and go, look at the high nose up while landing plus the full throttle (AB in this case). On the second bounce, the nose just drops down, as if the vertical force exerted to the tail makes it spin around the airplane's center.

  • @mehdigoudarzi judging by the way he hit, he should have pull the throttle back sooner and tried to glide it in because he was not short on power, if anything he had too much

  • fuck iran

  • I wonder after they ejected if they looked back at the runway and said "Hey, that looks like Back to the Future!".

  • It looks to me like Hydraulic Problems, as the aircraft got closer to the Runway you can make out how the PIO (Pilot Induced Oscillation) becomes stronger and after the third bounce the Main Wheels cant take the vertical force anymore. The Hydraulic leak would also explain the white smoke in the back of the aircraft, it is typical for Hydraulic Oil to smoke white when combusted...

  • The fire could have damaged the flight controls, but if i had to guess i would say that the engine fire spooked the pilot enough to over speed and over control the landing.

Doubtless they hung him and blamed the crash on the Americans.

  • Looks like the work of Israel is getting easier against the Iranians !

  • another fake anti-iranian propaganda vid

  • Just take it easy guys,, this is a real clip,, happed last year 2008,,, Four ship formation,,,the one who crash developed engine problem few minutes b4,,, they had direct instruction to leave the aircraft and eject,, they refused and decided to land.,, they came down too fast any way,, the second angle is from control tower,,they where alerted on this emergency so their camera was ready. Crash happens every where, its not a big deal,, just cool down guys,,

  • unfortunately, I cant find any record of this on the web. It is in Iran after all. :S

  • Looks like Fed Ex in Japan... pilot error.

  • I mean are those Iranian pilots? Hmm too bad man, i think the Pilot wasnt experienced. :)

Looks like that wasnt smoke, but fuel-dump.

  • The Video is a fake

The 1st landing is an Iranian Su-24 that land's smoothly the second landing is not even in the same Airport & its not in Iran all you have to do is look at the tape more closely & if you look very closely the fighters are not even the same color (look at the nose)

  • Hi, FB44lion the video is not a fake, they just changed angles . Airplanes dont land on the same runway that quickly, obviously they paused, moved in closer, then shot the second landing. The nose is a different color because the sun rays are striking it on the nose, thats the reflection. You can see the background is the same, and near the end of the tape you can see a small hut at the left of the runway, which can also be seen on the first landing. But in a different angle.

    Looks like PE.

  • R U Blind the background is totally different you can't even see a city in the background of the 2nd fighter

    The Planes R different colors

It's a different time of day

There is no white smoke coming out of the 1st fighter

also the fact that the Quality of the Video is in a way so you can't see IRIAF markings

    Sorry the Video is fake

& the angel does not change the color form dark brown to pink don't fool yourself

    This video is a fake

  • Why would he even show the first landing if he was trying to fool us? If he had excluded the first landing, which was at an earlier time, angle, perhaps runway, then your criticism would not hold. Think about it.

  • Because the 1st Landing is in Iran that fact is clear

but the second landing is not so by mixing the two he is trying to fool you in to thinking that the 2nd fighter is in Iran & its an Iranian fighter witch it is not

so how about you start thinking a little & not be fooled by this propaganda

Gee ppl can B so stupid sometimes ...

  • No name calling please! So you mean to tell me that this guy is eyewitness to, and make an original video of a sukhoi crashing in some foreign country, then gets the idea to film an iranian sukhoi landing at the same time of day, using the same camera settings and fuse them together to make it look like an Iranian plane crashed for some propaganda purpose?!!! What is the propaganda I don't get? Also the mountains in background are same, and the black/yellow checkered building is in Iran.

  • You can find the black and yellow checkered bulding in that video showing Iranian Azarakhsh taking off.

  • look in the back round, for the first vid I see, some cliff thingey, then a bit further along a green hangar followed by a bright blue hangar then a row of bright blue/grey large planes.. I see the exact thing in the second video except its a bit darker, your an idiot
