steps required to beat vamp:

1) shoot at him repeatedly

2) dodge his ocassional knife

3) keep shooting

4) equip syringe and grab

5) press triangle to win

It's easy to beat Vamp, if you figure out what Naomi said in the past, and Otacon bringing that up very subtly.

Oh, boy. I have no idea what Brad's talking about. Vamp has the least amount of buttons to press to finish the fight in Boss history.

On Normal difficulty, it typically takes less than 30 seconds and 5 individual button presses. 2 trigger pulls of the Mosin Nagant to the head to incapacitate, 1 to switch to the syringe, 1 to grapple vamp and 1 to administer the Nanomachine suppressant (syringe).

Lol that's how I beat the whole game, by pressing that button then leting go of that button then pressing another button then pressing one more button and letting go of the button before then hitting the last button then elbow the one button MEANWHILE letting go of two buttons, you know very simple and easy.

He's talking about the weird CQC command you have to hit when he gets knocked down, it's a different command than the others in the game, and also you can't have a weapon out.
