  • Nirvana had a few good songs, Cobain killed himself and in doing so made the band come to be remembered as a lot better that they actually were. In the words of one of the Gallagher's "He seemed like a miserable cunt who had everything but still wasn't happy."

  • i was there in August 2008....great set

  • shit what happened with the liam´s voice?

  • if we are talking record sales then mr blobby sung the best song of all time. is that a flawed argument

  • Awesome live performance. Oasis, the best band of the '90s! And no Nirvana fan can say otherwise

  • @JackBandicootsBunker Love them both...based on record sales though, yes you can say Nirvana were better. Plus, Nirvana were only around about 4 years and their global impact was bigger...sorry. Fact...I prefer Oasis and Noel's more positive approach to songwriting myself...but facts are facts.

  • @jonathanhudgins I can only justify their impact because they were from USA and tried to change the music, which in fact I can admit they did partially, because I'm saying they had some talent, but sometimes they are EXTREMELY overrated. As for sales, I wouldn't be so sure, tell me global sales for Nevermind as of today, and same of Be Here Now.

  • @JackBandicootsBunker Nevermind= 26 million sales worldwide. Be Here Now= 8 million sales worldwide. Dave Grohl has gone on to be leader of one of the best bands today...he is multifaceted, plays various instruments and is a great songwriter. Kurt Cobain was simply one of the most unique and talented songwriters of all time. If Oasis were from the U.S. they wouldn't have had much more of an impact than they did have...love them both, like I said...but the fact is Nirvana, pound for pound, win.

  • @jonathanhudgins 8 million? Tell me the source. Most places say Be Here Now sales are of 15 million. And I might guess that (What's The Story) Morning Glory? is yet above.

  • @JackBandicootsBunker Wikipedia. Morning Glory has sold 14 million. In Utero has sold 10 million. When speaking of record sales though, it's really irrelevant...Nirvana didn't care about them and oasis, after the success of their first two albums, didn't seem to care much either. If your taste preference is oasis over nirvana, fine...I'm back and forth at times and love both bands equally. Either way, there is no denying Nirvana's influence, impact and significance greatly outdoes oasis. Sorry..

  • @jonathanhudgins I cant speak for what impact Nirvana and Oasis have had on america because I dont live there, I've never ever been there for that matter. But I can tell you that over here both bands are praised highly. However, here and across Europe Oasis' influence, impact and significance is peerless. I think its silly to say Nirvana are better. Its your opinion. It doesnt mean your right. To me Nirvana made a good album. What Dave Grohl has done since Nirvana is completely off topic.

  • @LukaRaPtoR Its my opinion that I personally like Oasis better myself...I didn't say Nirvana were better, I said they were more influential, significant and successful than Oasis have been in the big picture. Maybe Oasis are more influential, significant and successful than Nirvana in Europe...but Europe doesn't speak for the world or the fact that Nirvana have sold more albums than Oasis worldwide. Maybe in the European bubble Oasis are bigger...that's great. But Globally, Nirvana are.

  • @jonathanhudgins I disagree. By the way Oasis have sold more than Nirvana worldwide. Not that record sales are everything. But I just thought I'd point that out since you keep bringing it up. I think you need to stop being so ignorant and stop making sweepingly inaccurate statements.

  • @LukaRaPtoR Nirvana is better than Oasis.

  • @SpasticIBS nirvana are more influencial because kurt died.

  • @beasis No, they were more influential because they changed the course of popular music. His death made the band legendary.

  • Oasis is the best band of last 40 years

  • Oasis and The Beatles Have To Be At least Named One of the best bands ever in Rock 'n' Roll!
