  • that shit is unnecessary, cus now that guy can just sue the police department and that comes out of whose pockets? Not the cops, they get suspended, but ours, so anyone who agrees with police brutality, go ahead and pay those fuckers to do whatever they want. Let them falsely arrest people on taxpayers money too, and let them take bribes and steal.

  • What's all this "he deserved it" bullshit? Who's to decide what's "deserved"? What if the cop just felt the need to shoot? Would that be okay? Solving violence with more violence. You people scare me.

  • Police officer crossed the line and becomes no better than the suspect; he becomes a criminal.

  • good police dude

  • Thats true, he was kicked in the head, but he tried to get away from people who were pursuing him because not only had he stolen, but he endangered the LIVEs of others. He should not have been kicked in the head. He should also not have risked the lives of many others, property and I think there should be outrage both ways.

  • @truthcrackers

The difference is nobody is justifying the car thief's actions.

Ignorant individuals with a sheepish inbred authority complex though ARE justifying that pig's actions.

Furthermore, it's one thing for an individual to pursue improper, illegal actions. It's another thing when the enforcers of justice pursue improper, illegal actions, and then are systemically excused for it.

If guilty, I have no doubt that thief will be brought to justice. I can't say the same about the cop.

  • A police officer is bitch without his badge and his gun

  • @israe38 I AGREE BUT I MEAN U GOTTA GIVE SUM CREDIT THEY GOT THE BALLS TO DO SUMTHIN.

  • Everyone makes mistakes, regardless of how stupid it may be I don't pay taxes for cops to treat people like this... Can' t believe he wasn't fired...

  • The cop was suspended for the day with pay.

  • kick his ars

  • in my most honest opinion, im laughing. that was pretty funny.

  • @bobbob2795

Well sir, I'm not one to often laugh at human misfortune, especially when meted out by those meant to uphold our justice system with my tax dollars.

BUT with that said, if I can find a video of YOU being unjustifiably kicked in the head, maced, anally probed by a baton, beaten within an inch of your life, or fatally shot to death at pointblank range by PIGS (all these things having happened to other individuals before), I would certainly have a good laugh and be content with taxes

  • i dont care if any of you morons think he deserved it or not. cops arent trained to make that kind of decision. serve. protect. and at the most detain. not punish. especially after a person sprawled out on the ground in defeat.

  • he deserved it. everybody should know there are some idiots who deserves those kind of things. kicking, taser, whatever. as long as you don't kill him/her.

  • @initiald16

But why not kill them also? If we already allow the Police to 'kick, taser, whatever' as punishment, then that means that you feel that a cop has the right to determine guilt and proper punishment.

I understand, the whole 'innocent until proven guilty' thing can be burdensome.

But if you also agree with the death penalty, then why shouldn't cops punish an individual for a capital offense with death?

Wouldn't you trust YOUR arresting officer as a judge, jury and executioner?

  • they say we the bad guys when actulley thay are

  • This is police brutality. End of story. That cop should be in jail for assault and lose his job as a police officer. The suspect was not resisting. But nothing will happen because he will get support from his cop friends and the community. Because people tend to think that when people run from the cops and / or doing criminal activity that they deserve to get beat. That shouldn't be the case. He is a criminal yes, he ran from the cops yes, he should be punished yes, but no abused

  • In the FACE

  • See below for why this country is in the sad state it is. I mean seriously? Look at this guy? He would kill you, youre family or anyone else to simply get away..He showed absolutely zero contempt for anybody by running and driving recklessly. Yet everyones up in arms because the LEO gave this guy a well deserved kick in the dome? Not that I would say hey thats ok to do, but big friggn deal..Discipline the officer, maybe some classes of how to better deal with these assholes everyday and move on.

  • they should do that all the time dumbass ppl wouldnt run then no would they?

  • No sympathy for that Flores gange member!!this guy is an active gangmember with Flores tattooed on his upper lip! The officer should of kicked him twice, dropped a knee on him and then let k9 get in on it!

  • Comment removed

  • @lapdrock cops shouldn't kick a surrendering suspect either...

  • @lapdrock

No, you shouldn't run from the police. If you do, they have the full right to pursue you, arrest you, and bring you to justice.

But police officers have no right whatsoever to be judge, jury and executioner.

It's bad enough that there exist depraved pigs who seize upon and exercise more power than the incredible amount already afforded to them for a few kicks (no pun).

What's even worse though are the people who pardon these actions because of a sheepish inbred authority complex.

  • The chopper commentator is a bleeding heart moron. Maybe he'll feel different if his wife was car jacked by vatos like this pig. Hey officer, next time simply bring a drop cloth and 4 poles to "shade the prisoner from the sun" and USE YOUR HEEL next time...

  • @jpeditor He wasn't a vato...he was a white guy...good ole equality of justice.

  • They should have beaten the dog shit out of him.

Honestly, does anyone want a guy like this in their neighborhood? What if he hit an innocent person or kid playing on the street? Would people be crying for him still? The world does not need losers like this.

Maybe a kick to the head is what he needs, knock some sense into him.

  • @b0219u

Are you out of your head?

Do I want a thief in my neighborhood? No. But none of us know what motivation he may have had to steal a vehicle then run. There may be no justification, but there may be an understandable motivation.

But what justification or motivation would a PEACE Officer have to violently and maliciously kick a suspect who is compliant, face-down on the ground in the HEAD?

There is none for that brutality, and I'd much less rather have that beast in neighborhood.

  • So what happened to the cop that kicked him?

  • The FBI was doing an investigation and officer George Fierro (the officer who kicked Richard Rodriguez in the head) was last known to be on administrative leave.

  • My opinion- The cop did do something wrong deserves discipline. However I don't feel bad for the guy that got kicked in the head. He was putting other peoples life in danger do to his own stupidity. I don't know what he was running from (in terms of crime) but if a police is on your tail you pull over and if you do try to run then you don't put others life in danger. As I said cop did something wrong deserves discipline but I do not feel bad for the criminal at all.

  • I never noticed the second cop hitting the guy with the baton

Pure arrogance and ego by both

    Time for some pay back

  • I think the suspect actually got off easy with the amount danger he placed on other people in danger.

The cops may be in the wrong but unlike Subby I don't see the cop as evil. obviously Subby was trying to generate sympathy for the devil, but he ain't gettin' none from this direction.

  • typical white police

  • I think they ought to do another reality show about the police academy. Then we will be able to see if it's standard practice for police to do this. If it is no one can fault the police if it isn't then charges of assault should not be out of line but whatever happens I hope the dude is off the street for quite awhile, he could have killed someone driving like that.

  • They should of shot that low life piece of shit cholo in the head. He'll be dead in a couple of years anyway.During which time he will put more lives in danger, or he'll kill someone

  • How do you know he was a Cholo? He could have been a white Meth dealer

  • oh I'm sorry ,but that guy was a cholo , big time . Mug shot shows him with gang tattoos all over the place , ESPECIALLY ON HIS FACE !!! ,check out mug shot , particularly on his fore head !!

  • FYI: Cholos aren't the only ones with tattoos. Skinheads and other hoodlums also have tattoos.

  • That was a "distraction kick." They are taught that just in case the suspect has a gun and pulls it out because the cop thinks he's helpless. I side with the cop. That didn't look vicious or heated, just meditated. Like it was protocol. Support your local police.

  • no they are not taught that in the academy. el monte pd sends their recruits to rio hondo police academy and I can tell you they are taught Koga which does not include strikes to fatal areas

  • Kick'em harder next time

  • f*ckin wise up you idiot.. its the like of you that needs a good boot to the head

  • This is pure police brutality. They shoulda shot the punk INSTEAD of kicking him. So, they woulda give the numerous cop-hater monkeys better reasons to moan... but cheaper to the honest majority.

  • good job officers! kick that mex in head.

  • "oh.. ohhh.. oh.. kick to the head.."

  • Cops are to enforce laws, they do NOT exact justice, that is the role of the courts.

  • im sure the driver guy, might of deserved the kick, but what bothers me is that people dont see that the cop, as a man in uniform, both of them, behaved immorally, its just not right for cops to take advantage of power, and kick anyone in the head, unless in means of self defense

  • It is death by gunshot every day in L.A. The cameras do not show the other side, of cops taking abuse from criminals, but L.A. has become a lawless pit with gunshot murders every night and day. Gang member can't aim a gun correctly. Why don't they just rap. Gang bangers always shoot the innocents. How many innocent murdered people has that cop seen by gang bangers? Maybe he had seen enough and the kick in the head relieved some of the cop's stress.

  • I agree with u, n a way, however, that doesnt justify the cop to just kick somebody in the face or head. the guy had already surrendered and by no means was a threat to the cop. What i saw in that video just made me sick. I know he did deserve it, no doubt, but the cop really made a mistake by doing that,, that is why his ass got suspended.

  • yeah he needs to be in jail, thats what the courts job is. the police need to be in jail too for assault with weapons because thats what it was. you never know, it might be you or your family member being treated unfair one day, and nobody to defend you because you gave up your rights to be treated like a human a long time ago.they came for the blacks..nobody said anything, they came for mexicans still nobody said anything, they came for the others, there was nobody to speak up.

  • Most Criminals are black and mexican so there goes that idea

  • Because most poor people are mexican and black, because they are born into a bad neighborhood and a society of people like you who are expecting these things of them.

Ever notice how most child molesters are white?

  • And Serial Killers

  • black guys are the most likely to do the misdamenors but like you said its the whites that are the pshycos that kill there familys, cops and thenselves

  • Well I wouldn't call murder and rape misdemenors but they are just common crimes.

I was just agreeing with tehuber' that "whites" not only are active criminals, but do seem to have a corner in the market of crime sectors.

  • first he gets kicked in the head then gets hit with a flashlight , wow i call that police brutality....

  • This little hood-rat endangered the lives of innocent civilians to include little kids, old ladies, you name it. This garbage piece of $hit needs much more than a kick to the face.

But in the eyes of the law it is justified. Who knows what kind of weapon he had. You must subdue the bastard.

  • i agree.. would it have been so bad if he killed an innocent person? the kick to the head was nothing, he needs to spend life in jail and get beat up in the big house

  • cheers tro the cop. kick these scum gangsters harder, fuck it, shoot the fuckers!

  • my dad always said the same thing and that was 20 years ago nothing has changed since Gates was in L.A.

  • fuck rondey king! just do stupied shit and this will never happen to you

  • police should be held to a higher standerd than kicking some one in the face but the dipshit was a gang banger and i dont have a proublem with what the cop did, slap the cop on the rist and give him my thanks, the officer was just doing what most good people would like to see more of, Mentally deficient, leachs upon society, gang members getting Kicked in the face

  • After hearing all the news reports, I thought it was going to be a lot worse than that. The reporter sure was milking it. To me it looked like the cop wanted to completely disable any chance of him jumping up or reaching for something. Maybe the cop was shouting for him to keep his head down and he didn't.

Oh well, don't feel sorry for the scum banger. He just won the lottery! Jerk!

  • Kicking suspect in the head when in a surrender position was wrong. That cop needs a correction of some kind.

  • The prick deserved everything he got. He runs from the cops, puts other road users at risk of serious injury or death and expects to be treated nicely? Yeah right! For all we know he threatened the officer as he approached and the cop neutralized the threat. He's lucky he didn't use deadly force! Good on him and a job well done by the cops!

  • I can not stand these tree hugging, lentil eating, left wing criminal loving, human right activists.....this evil smack head should have been dragged into one of the local houses, out of sight, and would anybody REALLY be bothered if he never came out alive??

  • @alanwilliamson35

    YEA! I AGREE BROTHER!!

ANYONE EATING LENTILS OUGHT TO GET KICKED IN THE HEAD, STOMPED IN THE BALLS AND PUBLICLY SPAT ON.... by an angry mob that was just taking shots of gunpowder mixed with grain alcohol!!

WOO HOO this is AMERICA GODDAMNIT. Mine and your country!!

Where god fearing, police loving citizens like you and me deserve due process.

But CAR THIEVES and HUMAN RIGHTS ACTIVISTS? Well lets let the cops execute them in our own houses!

Oh how I love your vision.

  • worthless fuck gang banger should have been shot on the spot, while being televised

    then promote the cop

  • I just don't get it why did they bother to kick him, when they should have shot his legs off then kicked him in the head, the cop must have been a rookie

  • It was brought up earlier that the cops in certain circumstances will kick a suspect to throw them off balance just in case they have a weapon and were thinking of bushwhacking the cops.

I agee the another the head is an unlikely place to kick someone, too much of a chance to kill or maim. I'm thinking the cop either went for the arm or made it look like he was going for the arm, I bet the latter.

  • HE's lucky the officer held the police dog back-

What was that thug saying to the first cop that arrived ? Maybe that was what deserved the kick--. But, a kick like that could go wrong and be fatal, which would fuck up the officer. Better to restrain that type of reaction- .

  • The Los Angeles Times reports that the suspect was a gang member who had just been released from prison. He was transported to a hospital.

Carlson identified the suspect as Richard Rodriguez, 23, of El Monte. He said Rodriguez is a member of the El Monte Flores street gang and had been released from state prison in January. He was wanted for a parole violation, but its unclear if that led to the chase.

  • Actually I am going to have to disagree with the comments defending those officers. It was a fucking chickenshit thing to do and I am sure you guys would not think it was funny if a cop kicked you and punched you. The police are starting to think it is normal to step outside their role as public "servants" and be more like armed thugs and I am pretty sure they will be fighting for their jobs tomorrow.

  • Yeah there could never be enough kicking for such a COCKROACH.. Besides being a GANG MEMBER,I am putting on a bet he's an ILLEGAL... and very LEAST an ANCHOR BABY parasite. Police jobs are rough dealing with crap like this.

  • The only problem is, THEY STOPPED KICKING HIM, hopefully he gets introduced to bubba real fast inside!!!

  • eh he drove on the wrong side of the rode... they shud have at least waited till they were out of camera view

  • HAHAH HE DESERVES EVEN MORE

  • When cops light you up and you hit the gas insted of the brakes you lose all you rights as a human . T.S. roach gangbanger.

  • oh really? doesnt matter if hes a worthles gangbangger who the fuck does that cop think he is kicking him

  • actually sorry bout that your right, he deserved to be kicked now that i read his real background.. i thought he was just being chased for some stupid warrant

  • where did you read about that

  • he was a POS gang member who deserved what he got. End of story.

  • It's funny how the CNN news guys keep saying "but it's understandable, I mean look at what this guy put the police officers through! Who wouldn't be pissed off?!"

Making it sound ok to use unnecessary force just for making a cop run. Ridiculous.
