@wondorfamily Battle Network? Yes it is. It was a 6 game series on the GBA, that also had a few side games. There are a few fetch quests which get repetitive, but it's unlike anything else I've ever played. You can get them for pretty cheap, so I recommend you check at least one of them out.

This game reminds me of an old MS-DOS release called "Captain Dynamo", which had in-game music, but zero sound effects. It has to be the Pulseman's animation, as well as the design of those moving platforms. That immediately brought Dynamo to mind.

Anyhow, I'd like to say in like 5 lines that Pulseman is actually a great game. Neat visual tricks, cool boss battles, and it feels like a perfect blend of Megaman, Sonic and a ricocheting pinball ball.

Level design's good, and the music (other than the 1st stage theme) is really not very memorable.

ROM, Virtual Console, whatever. Play it, it's amongst the best 30 games the Genesis had.

This game is really fun. The design of the sprites are really well done. It was a shame that the game was only released in Japan. The character's mechanics are quite unique and I imagine that this obscure title who appeal to alot of people. It is a must have for those who enjoy 2D platformers.

@Neilsama Basically you remove the dust cover from the inside of the case and sand down some corners in the cart slot. It is very similar to the Super Nintendo alter in that you are just changing the shape of the cart slot. Im not sure if the Game Genie would work straight up, but you could probably do a similar alter to it if it doesnt fit. There are several tutorials on youtube.
