I know which version you mean, the version most commonly known from the Master System port and Afterburner III. I personally prefer this version, but i probably will end up doing the melody versions of After Burner and The Final Takeoff after doing all of the originals.
Honestly, I always thought the "melody" in those versions was a little out of place, especially in Final Takeoff-it really takes away from the power chords, which are awesome. Unfortunately, almost every remix I've come across is for the melody version. Looking forward to hearing your version!
I agree, the first time i heard the melody version was on Afterburner III on the Sega CD, the music seemed good, then the melody started and i was like WTF IS THAT!? XD
@gngskpow Wow, thanks! I've seen Route 666 on Bayonetta... i think i'm going to have to get that game, combo of DMC, motorbikes and 80s Sega Arcade remixes just make it awesome! =D
All this positive commenting makes me work harder on The Final Takeoff. It's a tricky bugger with timing but i'll get it done eventually! =)
Thanks. Still getting to grips with FL Studio properly so I was hoping i could get by without getting into too much of the compressor and EQ stuff. There wll be more Afterburner tracks over time and i'm doing stuff for other games as well.
In short you have greatly boosted my morale! Many thanks =P
hey, we have to appreciate and support our videogame music artists on the internet, I checked your other videos and the music it's just amazing, keep em' coming and you deserve more attention, this stuff is great! :) Greeting from Chile ;)

I don't know about the rest of you, but I think this track rivals the "Climax" version from Bayonetta. Yes, it's that awesome!
