Pretty good cover. I haven't got this music myself, but i have a lot of Einaudi works. I just can't help feeling that while technicaly it was pretty much perfect, you didn't quite achoeve that sense of emotion. Maybe I am being overcritical, but that is what I feel
@007slaney Thanks for your comment. Of course something gets lost in the recording process, including some of the dynamic contrasts. This is something I have tried to improve on my more recent videos.
@PSearPianist OK Fair point, I have had problems too. I haven't been able to film myself playing, as my only recording device is my iPhone, which buzzes my recorder when near it. The sound has some problems for me too, so thats probably the reason. Good cover anyway
you play the piano very, very well!! all your pieces are so full of emtions and just sound different (better) than others. i can play this piece as well, I even uploaded it but mine doesnt reach anywhere near yours and i doubt that i could ever play it as well as you
I really needed 2 come home & relax after spending 4 hours confined to a hospital bed in an outpatient medical center with an IV hooked up to me for so long. I go to the outpatient center once a month for a treatment of IVIG...
Anyway I've had a long day & I thought I needed to relax for a few minutes & because it's always calmed me so much; your video of Ludovico Einaudi's "Fuori Dalla Notte" was the 1st thing I thought of=)
@EinaudiRulez Thank you! I am really pleased that my video can help you in any way deal with your medical condition. I find injections terrifying, and I am not surprised you need to calm down after having one!
@PSearPianist I think I should be the one 2 thank you for your video. After a while most ppl who have a chronic or terminal disease tend 2 get accustomed to things like this. The Immunologists & I think I was born with CVID ( Common Variable Immunodeficiency). It's a disease tht effects the Immune system. That's why I haven't uploaded any videos yet... I want 2 record myself going through a treatment so tht ppl can see what it's like, so I can explain what my disease is & what IVIG is.
@TheMessofaDreamer Indeed Classic FM has done a great deal to promote Einaudi's music over the last 20 years! I hope you are enjoying your Easter holidays.
Thank you. You can never underestimate the amount of feeling needed for a successful performance. How often have you ever seen a performance by a pianist that you have criticised for having too much feeling in it? I can think of barely very few instances!
You're very, VERY good. And, um, I was wondering... do you think this song would be very difficult for a thirteen year old who's played piano since the age of six/seven to play this song?
Thank you for your kind message. Most of Einaudi's music is not at all difficult technically (I can learn most of his pieces in an hour or two) and this is not one of the harder ones. I could have played this at 13 yo and am sure you too could learn the notes - of course the challenge for all of us is to play the notes we have learned in a musical manner!
yes it's true that you can learn the songs in almost 2 hour. i'm 13 years old and i can play this son too if i want, right now i'm studying "questa notte" a beautiful song as well! Sorry for my bad english, i'm from holland...
@aaa0780 Actually, in Italian a 'c' like in Einaudi's name is 'ch', so it should be loo-doe-vee-cho. However, it's almost constantly pronounced in America and the UK as you've put it, so I'm sure it doesn't actually matter either way.
Thanks for your kind comment. The person with the talent is really Einaudi who both writes these popular pieces, and plays them to big audiences in major venues!
hello, my sister bought the book a while ago and i've justt started to play that piece yesterday and i've only done the first half of the first page. how long did it take you to learn it?
It probably took me about an hour of practice, plus listening to Einaudi's own recording - I can learn these pieces much very fast if I have heard them played by others! I have played piano for 45 years, so I can learn scores very quickly (but I can't memorize them!)
Thank you. I assumet the surprise at the end is the pull back and crescendo, which is marked in the score, and is indeed unexpected in a piece of this type.
thank you , very beautiful!!!! AMAZING !!!! thank you so much :) ..
