  • @akihamid1 Thank you - I'm glad you liked it!

  • AMAZING! didn't not expect the change to be as good as it is. awesome

  • @Nemnah Thank you!

  • I love this song, I am learning this right now, but you're much better, hahaa.

  • @Lisagodwaldt Thank you. Practise hard, and I am sure you may be able to improve on my performance!

  • @PSearPianist thankyou! I'l try!

  • I could honestly listen to this cover for hours. Splendid job, you're absolutely wonderful.

  • @Rati0cinative Thanks very much indeed!

  • I am so learning this...

  • @Owliebear I wish you every success in your study of the piece.

  • Pretty good cover. I haven't got this music myself, but i have a lot of Einaudi works. I just can't help feeling that while technicaly it was pretty much perfect, you didn't quite achoeve that sense of emotion. Maybe I am being overcritical, but that is what I feel

  • @007slaney Thanks for your comment. Of course something gets lost in the recording process, including some of the dynamic contrasts. This is something I have tried to improve on my more recent videos.

  • @PSearPianist OK Fair point, I have had problems too. I haven't been able to film myself playing, as my only recording device is my iPhone, which buzzes my recorder when near it. The sound has some problems for me too, so thats probably the reason. Good cover anyway

  • gosh... what wouldn't i give to play like this x

  • @LoveWithoutMeaning Keep practising, and who knows what you might achieve!

  • he even doesnt look at the piano, only on the sheet! damn it he plays very well! i dream of playing like him

  • @jhonilso Thank you. Of course I have to look at the keys sometimes in pieces that have difficult jumps!

  • you play the piano very, very well!! all your pieces are so full of emtions and just sound different (better) than others. i can play this piece as well, I even uploaded it but mine doesnt reach anywhere near yours and i doubt that i could ever play it as well as you

  • @CestDom That's very kind. I will try to listen to your performance and see if I agree with your view.

  • Stunning.

  • @bEEx94 Thank you!

  • You play this fantastically. Beautiful :)

  • @Blackbullet0666 That's very kind!

  • You are absolutely stunning. Amazing job dude!!!

  • @theAnorexicToyBoy Thank you!

  • Beautifully played. Thank you.

  • @adrianpaynepiano I'm glad you liked it!

  • looks like larry david from the side. oh, and nicely done

  • @willsbills707 You are not the first to say that - but thanks for the kind comment!

  • you have really refined piano skills.

  • @FORGODSAKEIDONTKNOW Thank you - that is really most kind.

  • ottima esecuzione

  • @anvy82 Thank you very much!

  • Fanatasic pianist :)

  • @RachHar1 Thank you very much!

  • ohhhhhh i live this piece so so much!!!! well done on this one

  • @tabulaerasae82 Thanks - I'm glad you liked it!

  • I really needed 2 come home & relax after spending 4 hours confined to a hospital bed in an outpatient medical center with an IV hooked up to me for so long. I go to the outpatient center once a month for a treatment of IVIG...

Anyway I've had a long day & I thought I needed to relax for a few minutes & because it's always calmed me so much; your video of Ludovico Einaudi's "Fuori Dalla Notte" was the 1st thing I thought of=)

  • @EinaudiRulez Thank you! I am really pleased that my video can help you in any way deal with your medical condition. I find injections terrifying, and I am not surprised you need to calm down after having one!

  • @PSearPianist I think I should be the one 2 thank you for your video. After a while most ppl who have a chronic or terminal disease tend 2 get accustomed to things like this. The Immunologists & I think I was born with CVID ( Common Variable Immunodeficiency). It's a disease tht effects the Immune system. That's why I haven't uploaded any videos yet... I want 2 record myself going through a treatment so tht ppl can see what it's like, so I can explain what my disease is & what IVIG is.

  • im 13 and heard le onde on classic fm yesterday and fell in love with it, and after hearing his other peices, i love them to! really amazing

  • @TheMessofaDreamer Indeed Classic FM has done a great deal to promote Einaudi's music over the last 20 years! I hope you are enjoying your Easter holidays.

  • @PSearPianist ya i am its been great! and my mum has decided to buy me the einaudi collection piano book for my birthday!

  • @TheMessofaDreamer What an excellent birthday present that will be. I hope you enjoy the book!

  • so stately and refined...

    douglas

  • It is!

  • love it...

  • Thank you!

  • Wonderfully played :) ,

I am learning how to play this , my piano teacher gives 12 bars a week to practise , and i am enjoying it mostly ,

Thankyou for posting , and i enjoyed listening .

  • Thank you - and what an enlightened piano teacher you have that gives you Einaudi to work on!

  • its amazing with how much feeling you play it... i hope its an question of practice (because of me :P)

  • Thank you. You can never underestimate the amount of feeling needed for a successful performance. How often have you ever seen a performance by a pianist that you have criticised for having too much feeling in it? I can think of barely very few instances!

  • If I understand it correctly that is a very kind comment - thank you!

  • beautifully played,

thank you for posting it, I really enjoy listening to it.

  • That's a really kind comment - thank you!

  • just wondering, if you could tell me the meaning of fuori dalla notte? thank you

  • It says in his info "I think the title translates into English as 'Out of the night'

  • All right, thank you for the help.

  • You're very, VERY good. And, um, I was wondering... do you think this song would be very difficult for a thirteen year old who's played piano since the age of six/seven to play this song?

  • Thank you for your kind message. Most of Einaudi's music is not at all difficult technically (I can learn most of his pieces in an hour or two) and this is not one of the harder ones. I could have played this at 13 yo and am sure you too could learn the notes - of course the challenge for all of us is to play the notes we have learned in a musical manner!

  • @PSearPianist

yes it's true that you can learn the songs in almost 2 hour. i'm 13 years old and i can play this son too if i want, right now i'm studying "questa notte" a beautiful song as well! Sorry for my bad english, i'm from holland...

  • I'm glad you agree with me - and good luck with "questa notte"!

  • haha thanks!

just place more movies from Einaudi,

    they're beautiful!

  • Wonderfully played =D

I like this piece so much and I think all the songs from Ludovico are so beautiful, relaxing and sad!

Thank you so much for playing this piece, Grazie ! =)

  • And thanks for watching the video. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

  • it's right...good italian spell!

  • Excuse my ignorance, but how is Ludovico Einaudi pronounced?

    Thanks.

  • Thanks for your kind comment. You pronounce it Loo-Doe-Vee-Coe Eye-now-dee I think!

  • @minggnim If you type it in on google translate in italian to italian. (y)

  • @minggnim Loo-do-vee-ko open E-nà-u-dee

  • @aaa0780 Actually, in Italian a 'c' like in Einaudi's name is 'ch', so it should be loo-doe-vee-cho. However, it's almost constantly pronounced in America and the UK as you've put it, so I'm sure it doesn't actually matter either way.

  • @123skard123 Nope, Co as in Ludovico is spelled Ko! I'm italian ;)

  • @aaa0780 I stand corrected! Thanks very much for letting me know. Looks like I've been saying his name wrongly for 7 years.

  • @123skard123 :))

  • Excellent.

  • brilliant, 5*'s

i love Einaudi and yoy played this peice really well

  • Thank you very much!

  • Amazing Cover :) I love this song.

    Thankyou for uploading.

  • Thank you for your kind comment.

  • Your welcome :)

I was wondering... can you play Nefeli?

    I love that song.

  • wow you're very talented! great to listen! :)

  • Glad you enjoyed it!

  • that was lovely. it's great to listen to you play. it also makes me pracrise more :)

  • Thank you! Well, as they say, 'practice makes perfect' - and I need to do that as much as anyone else!

  • such legatissimo!

  • Thank you. I try very hard to achieve that when playing this piece.

  • beautiful, i hope i can play as well as you some day. That was stunning music and you should be very proud to play like that. An honour to listen to.

  • That's very kind. Keep practising and you could play better than me perhaps? This music is not really very difficult.

  • I wish i could play that good!

  • Keep practising and aim to p[ay better than me!

  • You have an amazing talent.

    This song is incredibly beautiful.

  • Thanks for your kind comment. The person with the talent is really Einaudi who both writes these popular pieces, and plays them to big audiences in major venues!

  • Top man, top marks. Very good. I've just got the Eden Roc book so this one is next on my list as I started with "Giorni" - keep playing fella :o)

  • Thank you. I will certainly keep playing. Good luck with the Eden Roc book!

  • Your playing is so flowing and wonderful! Thank you, Phillip, for another delightful performance!

  • Thank you!

  • hello, my sister bought the book a while ago and i've justt started to play that piece yesterday and i've only done the first half of the first page. how long did it take you to learn it?

  • It probably took me about an hour of practice, plus listening to Einaudi's own recording - I can learn these pieces much very fast if I have heard them played by others! I have played piano for 45 years, so I can learn scores very quickly (but I can't memorize them!)

  • J'aime beaucoup! Doru

  • Merci beaucoup!

  • Yes - it stands very well on a piano solo. Beautifully played. I like espec. the harmonies around 1:46 and the little surprise at the end.

  • Thank you. I assumet the surprise at the end is the pull back and crescendo, which is marked in the score, and is indeed unexpected in a piece of this type.

  • Merci.

  • Oh, delightful music again, Phillip! What a blessing you are and the spirit of your playing. Thank you.

  • That' really kind - thank you.

  • ohhh i can read that french (:

( Just in case anyone wants to know)

    pianist1221: " I don't understand but very good"

    and yea. i agree haha

  • Thanks for your kind comment! BTW I think that pianist1221 is saying that he doesn't know the piece - not that he doesn't understand it!.
