I rest my case with the fact that any notion of an invasion on the USA would be ridiculous considering the power of our military and that until terrorists have actually started creating weapons of mass destruction that are meant to be pointed at us (which I have yet to see) we are in absolutely no danger. So don't act like a war that is killing thousands of innocents and putting us (or rather already has put us) into an economic depression can possibly be saving our butts.

This cost the lives of THOUSANDS of civilians who were completely innocent. Even after failing the fist time at our primary objective in Afghanistan, we invaded Iraq. The bottom line is that these wars were pointless because the countries involved were no threat to us until we actually attacked them and expecting them to sit back and do nothing is quite frankly exactly what you said yourself, "What would you do if some punk hit you in the nose?"

Although I am not against investigating the situation to find out who really was behind 9-11 our fatal mistake was not pulling out of Afghanistan and Iraq after we had successfully verified that THERE WERE IN FACT NO WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION IN THESE COUNTRIES. Instead we proceeded to invade and bomb the hell out of civilian areas in a vain attempt to kill Osama Bin Laden who we unfortunately have NO FACTUAL PROOF (only very strong suspicions) committed the 9-11 attacks.

here is my two cents(which is probably worth less than that.) Two things I know little to nothing about is politics and religion. But from experience I believe actions speak louder than words. If these two candidates spent more time taking action than mud-sligging eachother, more voters would feel more confident in their decision. I think we are screwed either way. 4: Conservative bloggers had voted Palin as their favorite VP (tied with Romney) even before the pick. You (and I) may not know her, but trust me, the base does not think she is a poor pick (or an affirmative action pick for that matter.)

But usually "executive" means governor or mayor. Having done both, Palin fills an important experience vacuum.

Gibson demonstrated that he can't remember any part of the Bush doctrine except pre-emption. Palin politely demonstrated that she is aware there are more aspects (at least four).
Palin was alert enough to recognize that a quote from four years ago was wrong. Gibson didn't even notice when it was pointed out to him.
