  • Do get it twisted she kept him In his Own pen away from the other males and was spoiled rotten not fair to attack her because buck found a crazy horse his tricks wouldn't work on she was a little crazy but all horse people are a little wired and crazy

  • In this world there are bad people and bad animals for no rhyme or reason they are just bad the lady who had that horse kelly was not a bad person just in over her head she helped me with the horses that stayed on my property many times cause I don't like horses and Kelly helped make that still true today Kelly was a bad horse that should have been put down long before he attacked her or anybody else

  • I was there and watched that horse attack her he bit and kicked her so violently she begged me not to shoot him he was kept in a pen that was next to my drive way and house that horse would follow me in the dark while I would take my trash out and snort and kick Kelly was a crazy horse I had to tell her to move him off the property line or I would shoot him I had kids and lived in fear of that horse and yes she had 18 male horses and 1donkey and they would go nuts and it would sound like a cal

  • Has this come out yet?

  • is it in australia? soooooooooooooooo want to see it

  • @meglings Yeah I live in Tassie and it is on at the state cinema

  • who the fuck can dislike this trailer???

  • The song at 2:00 is by Eddie Vedder, not Pearl Jam. I saw the movie. GREAT MOVIE!!! :D

  • God has truly blessed Buck, with the gentlest of hearts, and inner peace that one could possibly hope for, this side of Heaven.

  • Saw the movie and loved it. Was sad when they decided to put the 2 year old cold down. It was the right decision maybe but it was such a human failure, not the animals fault. I wish Buck would have talked more about the importance of gelding. In a case like that just gelding might have made a difference had it been done earlier. Not to mention the lady said she had 18 studs? Yikes! Not fair to the horse and he paid with his life. Hopefully she went home and gelded all 18 horses.

  • @asrotties seriously doubt it. She probably went home and started giving away horses! lol it would sure cost a lot to geld 18 studs, not to mention if they are anything like that colt in the movie was good luck getting near them!! What a shame, like you said, but gelding probably wouldnt have made a difference in that horse, orphans are orphans, and they are the worst of the worst. No natural fear for humans, so they will do anything to you they will to another horse. No distinguishing.

  • @Hudson2012 I was sooo horrified when i heard her say 18 colts!!! Oh and agree about the orphans comment, I ride a pony that was an orphan and he is much more dangerous then the completely green thoroughbred I ride!!

  • We LOVED this movie. What Buck says applies to so much more than horses. He is a beautiful person with a true understanding about love, life and kindness. A must see!

  • simplesmente impressionante, eu amo o trabalho desse cara ! com certeza revolucionou a doma dos animais

  • What's the name of the instrumental song?

  • wow inspiring

  • @topgunner16 VERY much so.

  • I have never seen this documentary, but I now make it my life's mission to witness everything the complete film has to offer. Just seeing the trailer has made me break down into tears. Since I have went through the abuse and emotional heartache similar to his own, I can really relate. Nobody else in my family understands my passion for being with and understanding horses. I'm trapped in a world where I must at least pretend to conform to my families wishes. This has given me hope.

  • i caught part of this movie on tv... which surprised me because it was supposed to be a totally different movie. it had me in tears by the end. i can't wait to see the first half of it! he's a person i can relate to... i'm the only "horse person" in my family and no one has understood my connection with horses. they see a talent but don't get how personal it is for my life. how at one i feel with each horse i work with, to watch a kindrid spirit explain exactly what i never could is inspiring.

  • Today I rode a very young horse, 5 years or so, who just stopped racing, I tried to catch him, it didn't work, than I let him choose to come see me, 30 sec later his head was in my arm =)

  • @crazymangas First steps are the hardest... but the rewards usually turn out to be the greatest.

    Just sayin.

  • i saw a rainbow on his boots...is he gay????

  • @gusgus1219 uh, who cares?

  • @gusgus1219 no he's happily married with kids. Watch the movie? And what would it matter if he was gay? It's a wonderful film and he's a wonderful person.

  • Horses whisperer

  • Gosh I want to see this so badly! I totally believe in positive training methods but I never knew there were some for horses! I can't wait to learn what he has to offer. :)

  • Breaking the cycle is one of the most admirable things you can do. It shows incredible strength of character, even though I'm sure it is absolutely terrifying to go against how you have been taught to behave. Everybody breaks free from their parents, but few do it so completely as Buck seems to have. I admire him for recognizing he didn't deserve to be beaten by his father and stopping that bullshit in its tracks.

  • Great movies

  • I haven't seen this movie yet, but by the sounds of it, it's just natural horsemanship, I do it for a living, anyone can. Just open your mind a bit to understanding other things than just yourself.

  • @XxOperaGhostxX Wow you are really high on your self, in your comment you belittle Buck and praise yourself at the same time.

Buck IS natural horsemanship, He is the original. Pat, Clinton, all of you "natural Horsemanship" ppl are coat tail riders. Buck is a pioneer in the world of natural horsemanship. Buck has been quietly helping horses since the 70's

Jesus I can believe you can act so high and mighty.

  • @proteus1579 Settle down, I never said anything bad against another person. Think you read a little too much into things.

  • @proteus1579 actually Bill Dorrance is considered the origanal natural horseman. the gentleman you responded to did not say anything negative about buck but actually said something buck says. in a nutshell anyone can do this. thats why all the big names including buck do seminars.

  • also look up ray hunt. so by saying all those people rode in on his coat tails you are also saying he rode in on ray hunts coat tails who rode in on the dorrance brothers coat tails and they learned from somebody. the idea is not to immitate these people but to learn from them and improve on what they do.

  • these are not the droids we're looking for, wilbur

  • Awesome movie I can watch him again

Again I love horses never able to own one

    Would recommend this

  • This is something that many people may not be aware of but with films like this, or similar ones dealing with other topics, they may be able to reach a broader audience. There’s a new movie, Programming the Nation?, that seems like it could work in this way too. The film addresses the actions of the media and how their manipulation of images or subliminal messaging affects their audiences. A very intense look at reality, bitly .com/oQ0ZVk.

  • what is the song playing on the trailer?

  • @shimzard

    Pearl Jam - Just Breathe

Juts type in the lyrics and you'll find the song 9 times out of 10 :)

  • Love how he points out that 'a horse can tell you a lot about a person'. Deeply inspired by this film though my horse didn't cooperate as well. Perhaps I am not enough of a 'tortured soul'. My horse has 'people problems'.

  • @MonaLisaTime Or maybe your horse is just a jerk. B-) We had a Mare that was just plain mean and angry all of the time, she was 'whispered' and still nothing, she was unusable on trails, constantly backing up over bridges and heading home. So eventually we handed her off to a friend as a pasture pal. No problems with our other two mares, or our gelding. Sometimes, it actually is the horse.

  • Incredible film

  • I could watch hours and hours of this man training horses! I seen the movie and it was amazing but I did not want it to end! :) <3

  • Does anyone know what the instrumental music in the beginning is called?

  • This is a fabulous documentary on an extraordinary man and animal. Not only will you see a great film but you'll learn Bucks role developing/filming The Horse Whisperer. You don't need to be a Equestrian, nor a mere admirer of Horses, too learn something about ones own self... which this film can help lead one to.

  • What is the song up to 1:22 ?

  • Buck, a richly textured and visually stunning film, follows Buck Brannaman, a true American cowboy, from his abusive childhood to his phenomenally successful approach to horses. A real-life "horse-whisperer," he eschews violence teaches people to communicate with their horsesthrough leadership and sensitivity, not punishment.

  • MY NAME IS BUCK. And I'm here to... train horses :)

I need to see this movie!

  • When does this come out?!?

  • Gotta tell you that the Eddie Vedder song only come on at the credits. It's an Amazing movie!!!

  • I was really going along with the video and I was wanting to see it and then Eddie Vedder started singing that awful song and now I don't know if I can do it.

  • Is there a chance to watch this online???? I am from Germany and read these great comments and I am like a cat on hot briggs. I want ti watch this. Who is this guy ? What is his name?

  • @JAMAL2209 buck Brannaman. he inspired the horse whisperer

  • Does anyone know what song this is?

  • @Williamfalley15 You mean the song that starts around 2:00? That's Just Breathe by Pearl Jam

  • saw this amazing film today.....go if you can!

  • look out for it at film festivals. it is in new zealand now at the film festivals travelling the country. i live in a small town and it is even coming here in October. I've marked it on my calendar!

  • Does anyone know where to watch this online? I'm in Aus so I can't see it!

  • This looks like a fantastic movie, and probably one of the first horse movies my parents won't roll their eyes at when I ask to see it (: This is beautiful, and I can't wait to see it! (I'm going tonight with a horse lover friend, and can hardly stand the hours until then!)

  • I saw this movie yesterday. The story is about a man who lives and teaches tranquility, patience and confidence. The world needs more Bucks. This guy is the coolest cat on the planet!

  • Ok I really want to c this!!

  • all creatures (two & four legged) respond like a mirror to how they are treated. I once had a friend who works with troubled youth in sea scouts say "if folks just raised kids the way they do their dogs, there'd be no bad kids". A gentle hand and a calm voice doesn't work wonders, it only returns that which was sown into it.

  • This is not in any of my theatres! I was so excited about this movie!

  • Horses are NOT merely a reflection of the person working with them. They are born with strong personalities and inclinations. I have one horse that is naturally very nervous and fearful, and another who has been treeing bears since he was a weanling -- bold as brass and totally confident. I've trained them both since babies. Does that make me schizophrenic? Yes, we can moderate and influence, but horses are THEIR OWN BEINGS.

  • What is the song at the beginning and the middle?

  • Watched it today. Cried, laughed, screamed once and smiled a lot. Liked it much!

  • I can do that ;)

  • can't wait to see this!!

does anyone know what the song at the end is called?

  • @lostlovetwilight The song at the end of the trailer is Pearl Jam - "Just Breathe"

  • @thatbethgirl yea i found it :) thanks though

  • i dont have a horse so i guess he can't do much for me..

  • @timmay301 watching a man with a horse and how he is with them certainly can teach you about life and how we should behave and it can help you look at yourself more honestly. A person who thinks they can't learn from something is already handicapped by that attitude. Maybe you need to see it more than you realise just because you think this way

  • @ozwelshcobs Could not have said this better myself, great comment(!)

  • i just watached this tonight! it was actually really good, and hes halairious!!!

one of my favorite movies, can you believe the trainer in "The Horse Whisperer" was based on him XD

  • I love natural horsemanship and am all for it! I can't wait to see this movie and hopefully it will help spread the ideas of more natural force free training to even more people!!!

  • I can't stop watching this trailer and cannot wait for the movie.

  • "Show me your horse, I'll tell you who you are".

  • This movie was wonderful.

  • Horses are a mirror...absolutely! I have 2 that are more friends that people are, treat them with respect, boundaries and care, they give it back to you 10 fold.

For those who wish to be negative ie: JQisAwesom..the blog your wrote reflects YOUR soul. Why are you so angry, could it be this hit a nerve. Thus protest way too much.

  • Horses are a mirror...absolutely! I have 2 that are more friends that people are..

  • beatiful

  • cesar milan already did this with dogs.

  • @AGTW31 Why so negative? You cannot compare the two. Horses are not dogs. Cesar is not Buck. They are both gifted. This you can say. Appreciate both men.

  • the trailer pulled a tear out of me.

  • this is like a different version of the horse whisperer

  • @1224blackstar This man Buck IS the Horse Whisperer. He has written several books, and he was the inspiration for the Redford Film. Robert Redford gives an interview in the Buck film. Just go see it. It's Amazing.

  • @1224blackstar The horses whisper film was based on Buck's life...

  • So, what is his brother "Smokie" doing? A republican?

  • @JQisAvvesome You are a stupid LIAR. Grow up. Get a life and find something else to do with your boredom.

  • @JQisAvvesome offensive -- lacking social intelligence

  • @debby1phd1cp.. your comment reflects YOUR soul. Could it be this hit a nerve. Thus protest way too much.

  • This is the real deal. So simple but so profound. Buck is a horseman with a heart! Must see feel good movie. True story. Coming to HillCrest in San Diego.

  • Does anyone know the name of the artist and song from 2:00 onwards?

  • Comment removed

  • @123Wrigley

    The song is:

    “Just Breathe”

    Written by Eddie Vedder

    Performed by Pearl Jam

  • i like eating horses yummy !!

  • If anyone's in the DC area, this film is coming to @Silverdocs Documentary Film Festival, which runs June 20-27th!

  • I like horses, but they are big and strong and have teeth and hooves and they can kill you, so caution is important. I saw some videos of a guy feeding horses and he made them stay at the other end of the coral any time he had to enter their pen to do things. He took a whip in with him so they would learn to stay away. Yes people need to be taught to deal with animals w/o cruelty.

  • I need to see this!! I know my horses are a mirror to my soul but all in different ways :)

  • WHEN IS THIS COMING OUT?! xDD

  • @NextLionQueen.... It's now playing. Check your local listings.

  • @vreextr0n if you read his book far away horses written before the movie he used that line then

  • He literally stole a quote from Monty Roberts about helping horse with people problems.

  • Monty and Buck are cut from the same cloth. Believe!

  • horse meats yummy

  • This looks beautiful and I can't wait to see it! One of the ladies I go to for clinics for my mare uses a lot of the same methods and I just love them! I especially love the spatial concepts for groundwork and making a "safe space" for your horse (early on in the previews I noticed he's using the same methods). They really learn to trust you on the ground and in the saddle. Either way, this documentary looks amazing.

  • Can already see a biopic in the making / Staring Daniel Craig.

  • i don't ride western but i think this applies to all riders. can't wait for this to release!

  • Comment removed

  • @sammm208 im trying to say this to the guy who called us "cowfucks"

  • rodeos are cruel.. go fuck yourselves you cowfucks

  • @squallz13, I'm not going to try to change your opinion, you're more than entitled to it; however, please take the time to check out the official safety standards for professional rodeo associations. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Buck is one of the people who has revolutionized how people think about horses, and how we treat them. Please see this documentary, or at least read one or two of his articles. If you come back after being informed and still have the same opinion, that's fine.

  • @CecilySebastian

I'm sure he has made it better. But there's still 90% out there that harm animals for the sake of entertainment.

There is no need to make animals suffer no matter how large for the sake of entertainment. Rodeo's are a sick and cruel joke.

  • @squallz13, I definitely agree with you on the need for prevention of animal suffering. But, I promise you, professional rodeos put their animals before any other priority. The PRCA is one of the strictest advocates for animal rights. There are rudimentary rodeos that do not put the welfare of their livestock first, however thankfully those are declining due to the higher standards set by the pro associations. The statistics are much higher for animal protection thanks to folks like Buck. :)

  • @squallz13 This is not a rodeo dumb ass you have no idea dip shit id like to drag you behind my beloved horse then piss on your bodie you little fucker you don't know anything you are ignorant to the world shure i would like to kill some of those people in Spanish rodeos yes those are cruel but if you fucking idea if you had listened you would of herd that he is preaching peace and more humane ways of training animals and pleas if you dont know what your talking about dont say it!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @sammm208

    wow hypocrite much!?

Being humane in a rodeo is like fucking for virginity

  • @squallz13

My Dad does team calf roping in rodeos with me for competition and most of those animals are treated better than the people that is in the rodeos the fort worth stock show rodeo, Austin rodeo, Dallas, and most other Texas rodeos. so i don't know what your talking about. i have been to Spain tho and yes thay treat there animals like crap and are abusive but not Texas rodeos even the bulls are treated like kings.

  • this looks beautiful!

  • will we be able to buy this??? and where if so?

  • Very excited about this, can't wait!

  • This guy has such a strong soul, what a genius.

  • Forever a horse lover and I already feel inspired and can't wait to get back in the saddle!

Knowing the reality of being around horses is God's gift to the soul and those who don't know it should experience it.

I can tell he is a beuaitful man one hard to find and in tune with his soul and those of horses!

  • Made me cry, can't wait until the film is available! So spiritual....

    Maureen

  • and its just amazing how even the people that are not interest in horses are interest in this!

  • CAN'T WAIT! yay! he has been a legend since the horse whisperer. He probably was trying to hide in the background for as long as he could!

  • this is amazing!

  • I would betruly HONOURED to meet that man.

  • @belongtobill

He offers classes around the country throughout the year! To be a spectator at his classes is $20 and well worth it. Google search Buck Brannaman for the rest of this years schedule.

  • saw it yesterday at Hot Docs in Toronto. its remarkable. See it when you get a chance!

  • What's the name of the song that starts the trailer up to 1:20

  • horses are a mirror to your soul--spot on. they're amazing animals and i can't wai to see this.

  • @gipsyjaime i never realized how true that saying is until iheard it in this trailer

  • What's the name of the song 1:57 - 2:41???!

  • @Kongoz89 Pearl Jam - Just Breathe

  • I'm so seeing this movie I love horse and this film is gonna be amazing!!

  • Monty Roberts claims that "The Horse Whisperer" was based on him. It was based on Buck Brannaman.

  • just an awesome human being

  • This Blows my "Taze horses" DVD right outta the water.

  • awww this looks cute =)

  • What a great way for the public to see how a partnership w/ a horse is developed and fostered. I look forward to seeing this one. Wow

  • Genau wie Monty Roberts - Just like Monty Roberts

  • mah cool, ein film über natural horsemanship oder? sehr interessant, da freu ich mich.

  • I am not at all into horses. I think they are beautiful animals but don't have a personal passion for them. But this docu intrigues me. VERY interesting..I hope we get a chance to view this at the Rotterdam film festival.

  • @skyler807 yes, same with dogs. gonna watch

  • @skyler807 haha these exact same thoughts were goin through my mind while i was watching this:P

  • @skyler807 It is a beautiful film on so many levels.

  • 1+1=2

  • @thekilelrs321 1+3+3=7

  • @xXGroviabyXx you made my day :D

  • @thekilelrs321 my ball+your mouth= chipmunk dance party

  • @thekilelrs321

    1 + 1 = 10 in binary. :)
