I like this idea. Having the code on the package. That way collectors don't end up with a ton of one car yet for a kids birthday it can be a surprise like they were ment to be. Iv left a lot of mysterys iv wanted but dident want to get blamed for opening it( witch I haddent)

@delongds I bought one that was already opened because I wanted the car. I also bought a couple others at the same time so that it didn't look funny as if I opened up that one car just to buy it. Your idea about the Mystery Models baggies being good for birthdays are a good idea! They are perfect for goodie bags!

RG, just a little friendly advice.,,,,I would advise against even touching the open mystery cars. If you don't touch them the store can't claim you opened it. Luckily you were filming the item before you touched it.

@ExcaliberpegasiS I read that a lot of people blame collectors but it is also the kids opening up the packages. I will be uploading a new Mystery Models video this weekend talking about the new shelf-top little boxes rather than the long end-cap version shown in this video.

A little hint to everyone if you do not know yet, there are very small numbers on the mystery packs that says like d3/1, d3/02, d303, d304, d305, etc. and the 01, 02, 03, 04, 05 etc. are the cars inside, look for this small number then look at the back of the pack to see which car it is. Just a little hint.

my walmart has a bunch of these. o by the way i watching mythbusters in chem. thursday ( last day of trimester) and we watched the one with you in it. we never finished it so i watched it at home. i wish they had the old packaging on these models i have found 2. nice vid mr racegrooves

I like the cars. But hate to find them opened in the store. I would see 20 to 30 packs opened in my Walmart it made me mad because Walmart would take a lose and not order new ones

I got two of the camaro because I picked random ones up(because I didn't want to ruin the surprise) and the 2nd one I opened had it's wheel stuck inside the car

I think Mattel's only way to get away with an error is to put it in a package where no-one can see it
