im just curious but can someone tell me why ravi was so against drugs, ik its against idian relgion but i am just curious if anyone has some greater insight on to such a subject
Ravi, like most Hindu's, agree that drugs are just an attempt at spiritual bliss. He has said numerous times that you can achieve real peace and bliss through ancient techniques like meditation and yoga. And I agree with him : )
@Chikomojones Apart from the religious thing, any kind of mind altering substances affect the attention. While drugs may help certain kind of musicians create a certain sound, drugs inhibit indian classical music because of their effect on the awareness to achieve the ear-hand-eye coordination. There are some Indian classical singers known to perform under the influence of alcohol, but no instrumental players can afford to alter their state if Indian Classical music is being performed.
