As far as what class we need next it should be balanced from the last new class. Death Knight is a melee only class so the next one should either be a ranged only or even a ranged / melee hybrid class. The balance is

Necromancer= You just cant. When you play the Scourge in WC3, you play your future Enemy in WoW (a GREAT enemy till WtLK).
It isnt like the Death Knight thing, totally different. A Death Knight never choose to be resurrected by the Scourge, a Necromancer is somebody WILLING to worship the Scourge, you couldnt play a class like that being part of either Horde or Alliance.

The gameplay of a WoW Warlock is the usual gameplay of a generic Necromancer in other games. However, Lore tells it all about the choice they made to use a Warlock instead of a Necro.

That's the great difference between a Warlock and a Necro, a Warlock summons foul demons knowing that he will be able to re-banish them anytime, a Necro summons death to bring death.

Bart can PVE talent tree his songs become changeled. Improve healing, agy or whatewer. some dungeons will be easier if you have 2.5 more hp and healing.
In pvp tree his buffs can change into buffs like Shamans have but only for 30 sec or 2 attacks absorbed or they should be able to channel spells while moving and attacking. Fragile class with 1 or 2 melee DMG spells and 1 DPS ranged which awards self stacking buff...
It is not healing class only replenish HP/mana(not real heal|
I think that necro isnt a good idea because it is a DK+LOCK combination. Some ppl sayed that lock is controling demons and necro is controling undead + debufs. I thing i you played lock and if you try that necro class it will be the same play style.
So if you wana "non direct damage class" try Summoner... with cloth no damage spells, weak buffs and heals,
We have tanks heals and DMG.
My opinion is that WOW staff should make a pure support class, like Bart!
@Grygnion Ya a BARD could be a good class if done right. It would be a support class in pve and in pvp but if you look at a bard in other games your not just boosting HP5 and MP5 your a CC, Buffer, and limited caster. But there are already plenty of those ablilities in the other caster classes. Yes one that is basicly all of them together would be nice but every class expecialy hero classes have to be able to solo some. On the fact that they did bard as a joke for APR1 says it probly wont happen
You know there's that older MMO SW based, Star Wars Galaxies... they had the "Enterteiner" class, basically a bard who could dance or play any instrument (with group dances and group playing, too) to buff people, the longer you would "enjoy" the show, longer was the buff they gave you (hours). He doesnt earn any exp from killing stuff, just while "entertaining". And obviously he had like support dps/support healing duties during any combat.
@Dinos86Senior ya i used to play SWG and i had a maxed Entertainer, they tried to make it have some combat ability but it never really did. But in SWG that's ok because it was a different kind of structure and you had player controlled towns and such. A game like wow would need a bard more like the one in EQ and EQ2 if they were to try to do it. I still say bard will never happen for wow.

Here are the most promising Heroic class ideas: Ranger, Necromancer and Demon Hunter, these sound justified and lore-wise. And aren't entirely stupid and senseless
@Nightmare1066 actually, some time in one of the upcoming expansions, blizzard announced they had plans to draft up a Demon Hunter and a Warden class. personally I don't think either will work, seeing as the original demon hunter (illidan) from war3 campaign's abilities have already been used by warlocks. (mana drain, immolation, metamorphasis) and the warden had abilities like Fan Of Knives (rogue) Blink (mage), that shadow strike ability (not sure of the name but its just a basic dot)

My favourite class type ever since warcraft 3. On a second note, there should be a Necromancer/Lich type class. they use frost and shadow spells to damage their targets, they can call undead minions to their aid, void zones, a shadow spell that when it does damage it causes a part of their soul to begin to attack them. a frost blast that knocks back enemys. chains of command, causes the target to become a minion of the user for a good 5-10 seconds.
No a warlock is not a necromancer. A necromancer calls the dead to life, A warlock summons demons. However the abilities would be too similar. Would basically be an affliction lock with DK pets. People would still roll it because of what it is. Not because it is different but the idea "oooOOOoo NECROMANCER!!!"

Let's think for a moment why we gotten Death Knights and still yet to hear of necromanzers. First off Necromanzers other then raising the dead as minions they are pretty much the same as a Warlock. @cotarna i can agree with blademasters lookin a lot like an MS arms warrior ( they got WW and MS) but c'mon Mountain Kings as enchanced shamans? they should've been something like a dwarven warrior stun-specced. My simple idea of an hero class would be: Dream Catcher. That have Nature magic, and sleeping/fear spells, and spells with a big cooldown can stun + damage the target (Like Deep freeze but for sleeping spells.) and they might have summonings that is called dreamer.
The 3 talent should be. Dreamer ( For summonings.) Sleeper (For CC) and Emerald ( Dps)
So I assume you people who don't listen are the same people I pvp with on ally on my server, also death knights don't suck, most people who play them do. Think about it: a lot of people have played for years and play a main (not a DK) the DKs are played by wownoobs who leveled a hunter to 58 or w.e. To try to be cool and don't know how to play the game. I play a dk as one of my Alts and love her, but I also have two icc toons, a warrior tank and a ret pally :p (plate melée ftw)
Why would Necromancer be the next hero class? He just sed that they scraped it, and anyway, a Necromancer would just be a Death Knight without the Knight part in it. Plus it would just be lazy to have 2 Hero Classes based on Death and the Undead. A Demon Hunter or something to that effect would be the next one I think :)

@Shamadamun Before you go off about DK's being a hybrid class, they are not a true hybrid. A Shaman is a hybrid due to the fact that they need Attack Power (enhance) or Spell Power (elemental/restoration) depending on their spec. Druids follow this as well. Deathknights on the other hand require only strength (read attack power) to buff their "spells". Deathknights are more like retribution paladins then Shamans or Druids (the true hybrids).

Warlock pretty much took the place of the necromancer. Make a Human Warlock and look at the locations where the class trainers can be found early on.
Northsire - They are standing at the graveyard
Goldshire - Hiding the cellar
Stormwind - Hiding in the cellar that leads to a crypt
High chance would have been that the Death Knight would also be gathering together with the Necromancers.. but sadly it was not to be :(

@karite2 i wouldnt say its part lock.. locks and neromancers are like 'twins' locks being dark demon mages (shadow/fire) while neromancers are more undead/decay(shadow/frost) mages.

Umm this video isn't new infact this is from one of the first blizzcons.. I bet AQ 40 was end game when this was seen.
Let's think for a moment why we gotten Death Knights and still yet to hear of necromanzers. First off Necromanzers other then raising the dead as minions they are pretty much the same as a Warlock. They raise the dead they use dark magic.. The difference with the Death Knight was it wasn't so completely similar.

Ill play if they do. the warlock and necromancer, if they "fought" they wouldnt be doing the same shit. necros need bodies so he'll probably have some very physical curses or draining or hed be toast (necro with fireball...no)! anyway it would be ok for Wow to have as many classes as possible... if they had a way to make it more pvp it would be awesome to see how people align themselves!

Just look at all the other games with Necromancers in them. Do they play 100% copy paste like the Warlock class in WoW? demon hunters - Hunter with Track demon.... or a Rouge mountain kings - Enhanced Shaman.
Necromancer - Warlock
Archdruid/Archmage - Druid/mage
Then the biggest diffrent would be a few spells but other than that it would be the same class.

@cotarna i can agree with blademasters lookin a lot like an MS arms warrior ( they got WW and MS) but c'mon Mountain Kings as enchanced shamans? they should've been something like a dwarven warrior stun-specced. Also demons hunters being actual hutners (with a pet and bow) or stealthy rogues makes no sense at all . Druid mages and locks do fit in will u're right on that1 . However what i meant was that the popular badass wc3 heroes are not a REAL option on WOW and that for me , in 1 word , sucks

My simple idea of an hero class would be: Dream Catcher. That have Nature magic, and sleeping/fear spells, and spells with a big cooldown can stun + damage the target (Like Deep freeze but for sleeping spells.) and they might have summonings that is called dreamer.
The 3 talent should be. Dreamer ( For summonings.) Sleeper (For CC) and Emerald ( Dps)

So I assume you people who don't listen are the same people I pvp with on ally on my server, also death knights don't suck, most people who play them do. Think about it: a lot of people have played for years and play a main (not a DK) the DKs are played by wownoobs who leveled a hunter to 58 or w.e. To try to be cool and don't know how to play the game. I play a dk as one of my Alts and love her, but I also have two icc toons, a warrior tank and a ret pally :p (plate melée ftw)

Why would Necromancer be the next hero class? He just sed that they scraped it, and anyway, a Necromancer would just be a Death Knight without the Knight part in it. Plus it would just be lazy to have 2 Hero Classes based on Death and the Undead. A Demon Hunter or something to that effect would be the next one I think :)

@Shamadamun Before you go off about DK's being a hybrid class, they are not a true hybrid. A Shaman is a hybrid due to the fact that they need Attack Power (enhance) or Spell Power (elemental/restoration) depending on their spec. Druids follow this as well. Deathknights on the other hand require only strength (read attack power) to buff their "spells". Deathknights are more like retribution paladins then Shamans or Druids (the true hybrids).
