Items make the game interesting, and I only used them when my opponents complain that they can't beat me without them.

I personally play without items, but I don't see the big deal about occasionally playing with them. Especially in 4 player ffa.

Sometimes if you use the cape too early, the opponent can still go the direction that they want. I didn't want to get hit, so I chose the strategy of letting him pass through me.

lol didn't mean to offend you dude. I wrote in the info thing that after I had made it I didn't think to include moves finishing people when they were off the stage. I simply put in combos, if you notice, I usually don't get hit in each clip (that's all that was meant). As for the opponents, people have unfortunate matches. Up Smashing opponents can be deceptive as they might think that they can counter. Opponents like the Yoshi and Toon Link are members of Smash Clans. None were noobs.

Try to use Mario's speed when on the level, and try to finish people when they are off the level with air attacks like the spike, the FLUDD water pack (don't count it out), and the cape. Also, try to link combos together with fireballs to throw off opponents.

These videos came from replays as well, so they had to be quick matches meaning that either I did better than normal or my opponent did worse than usual. I have other videos besides this if you're interested in watching those to confirm your belief. Also I would like to stress that this is my first montage.

I actually enjoy playing as a lot of characters. I think Snake would probably be my second best but he's no where near as good as I'd like him to be. I also use: Bowser, Sonic, Wolf, Captain Falcon, and a little bit of DK, Pokemon Trainer (I actually enjoy Squirtle the most), Fox, and Lucario.

I played as Kirby in the original. Melee I used Roy but then grew attached to Mario and that carried over to Brawl. lol that's a lot....

Fire balls are best used for aproaching your enemy. When they are hit just grab em and u-air them.

Yea, I've also gotten better without items. I don't play with them like 99% of the time, however, I used to play with them in Melee so I sometimes play with them as a reminder that the game does have another aspect to it and there is also the fact that I sometimes can't stop people from using items in online brawls. I also agree on 4 player brawls with items, they're so hectic and intense that they have a completely different and fun aspect to them
