  • Keef ROCKED.

  • Keith Moon was an interesting character. Very talented in an unusual way as he smashes the drums some how producing a beat that makes the who, THE WHO. RIP Keith John Moon.

  • At :49 keith is probably lookin at roger and sayin is his head, " ok seriously dude stop takin my fuckin cymbal and smashin it everytime we play my generation"

  • 1:13 is it plant?

  • @danielsoferman Yeah it's Plant. Keith Moon just came after Stairway to Heaven, and he played a one-handed drum duo with Bonzo. Funny.

  • hes not dead he just took a shit ton of tranqs again

  • @SSt4rr

  • I met Keith in "The Blue Moon", in Cheltenham and I've seen lots of drummers since. In my opinion, NONE were or are as good as Keith was at that young age. Today's musicians are crap by comparison, they are not hungry enough and get far more for putting in far less effort and that's not just drummers, all musicians today need to give more for what they get.

  • Most awesome drummer ever.

  • keith moon was/is a legend.......his memory and music will live 4 ever

  • @geful1413 thank you mate i appreciate that....now where does your sister live please??

  • im 57 when i was 13 i was looking for someone with the same style of playing Bingo we were a match balls out on every note had a hard time fiitin in with many players but i had 20 yrs of playing and living like keith sad thing he passed and i didnt but im still that same guy and some day i will see my childhood twin.

  • Keith rest in peace????.never!!!.he is still kickin ass and havin a ball somewhere........

  • @65ludwig lol moon in havin he wood smash ut all up amgon god he be like wtf are you doing i love moon R.I.P keith moon you fucking crazzy drummer

  • well loved by us all

  • @mal334455 i was not boren whern he was still alith but he is my ildol wal one of them and im 14 and mod love the who

  • 31 years ago but never forgotten!

  • @dorset1004 TRUE WORD SPOKEN

  • Tastefully done... Thank You..

  • is that keith and pete with mick jagger?

  • RIP

  • Happy Birthday Keith for the 23rd. RIP. It makes you realise how young he died when he would only be 63. ='(

  • Happy Birthday Keith!!!

  • His Birthday is tomorrow (8/23). He would have been 63. RIP Keith.

  • Loved his ADORABLE BIG BROWN EYES!

  • i hope your a girl

  • I was the last time I looked!

  • Oncle Ernie est mort, dur

  • my missus would'nt let me call our first boy keith. but when she's no around i do. ha ha.

  • Why Moon was better than bonzo is because moon is a better drummer cause of his unique style he looks like he's all over the place but he keeps it together plus Moon @john work together watching townsends lead.Plus Moons showmanship and banter on stage made him very uniqe. There will never be another Moon. When saw them in concert in 1976 is was the greatest show i have ever seen and i'v seen them all back then.Pink floyd is good in concert also.Zeppelin is overrated there average live.

  • he (keith moon) was a great drummer even when he was falling......if that makes sense =)

  • if i ever have a son, i'm naming him keith

  • the best drummer of ever...RIP Keith and john entwistle too...

  • when did he die?

  • 9/7/78

  • 1:12 is that robert plant with keith moon?

  • Yes.Robert plant has said on the russell hardy show in england in 1972 that Kieth Moon is the greatest drummer of that time between 1967-1974.After that he started slipping.I think moving to malibu CA hurt him bad he got in the heavy party seen. When the Who made Who are you he was not the same.

  • seriously? thats amazing, i love zep but the who are the best band of all time, in my opinion. iv had countless arguments about who was better moon or bonzo, i always argue keith and if what your saying is true, i have another argument booster lol why was robert talking about keith anyway? do you know where i could read/see the inteview?

  • because one night Zepp was in concert and moon showed up and plant yells to the auedeince Kieth Moon everybody.russel hardy had plant as a guest and ask him about moon crashing his concert and that's they starterd talking about Moon and plant said exact words.IF THERE IS ANYBODY WHO INTERUPPS A CONCERT IT MIGHT AS WILL BE THE GREATEST DRUMMER IN THE WORLD.Bonzo did more solo's,but if you to drummer world Moon say's in his bio he did not like doing solo's he did 1 with the goldfish.

  • when you see plant with moon in this video that was the concet.its on you tube.you can find it

  • yes

  • Yeah it is.

Keith was really appreciated by all

  • wich is this song? and who is singing?

  • going mobile-The Who

    RIP Keith Moon!

  • ok thanks! I'm goin to look for it in the Ares hahahah

  • Pete Townsend, The song is "Going mobile" on "Who's Next" album

  • Besides not getting to see the Beatles my biggest regret is not getting to see Moon live with the Who. I had a chance to see the Who in 1980 but seeing the Who with Kenny Jones (no offense) would be like seeing the Stones with Howard Jones singing in place of Jagger. Jones was so antiseptic and rigid in place of the creative frenetic energy of

Moon. RIP indeed, we miss you...

  • Why I'm so young???!!!!!....fuck!!!!!!

  • He's My Idol! RIP Champion!

  • The circumstances are mysterious. We do know that he drank a lot for much of his life.

  • I love The Who but I don't know how he died

  • he overdosed on medication, that was supposed to supress his alcolism

  • yes he took too much of his heminevrin, which was prescribed to him to supress his appetite for drinking, unfortunately this particular doctor did not know Keith had a bad habit of over-doing it w/ everything & he gave moon a full bottle & Keith was found to have taken about 20 or so most of which were still undigested when they did his autopsy. i think he was only suppose to take like 4-6 a day or something like that..

  • neil peart (rush) is also one of the best drummers

  • yes, he is a more disciplined drummer but no one has ever sounded or played like Moonie.

  • Moons erratic undisciplined style was what made him so great and tough to duplicate. His drumming was very much an extension of his personality.Real ,uncontrived, spastic and beautiful.

  • Very well said. I would only add, and probably get yelled at for doing so, that these things made him a great drummer with The Who. It's amazing that he was so limited as a musician, but so groundbreaking and perfect with them. Peace.

  • I agree..No one can entertain like Keith did. I've never seen anyone better than him, he steals the show.

  • How'd he die?

  • nobody better on the drums than Moon

I had the privelage to see him live back in 1977 his antics alone on stage and the energy that the Who had has made them the greatest live band to this day and i have seen them all zepplin floyd stones

black sabbath etc..in the Boston garden.

  • My God. I've been to the same concerts at the same place. Small world. You and I may have seen each other 30+ years ago. Amazing shows. Nothing like it out there now.

  • He died in 1978.He took to many of a drug that was suppose to curb his drinking problem they said it was a accedental overdose. His wife woke up the

next morning and found kieth on the couch dead he was 32yrs old..

  • keith moon will never est in peace than nut :)

  • RIP Keith Moon

  • Keith more or less made The Who happen.

  • He made me to start playing the drums (way back) - thanks Keith, you are always in my heart

  • brilliant tribute to the very brilliant mr moon.

    PIP KEITH

  • Thank you

  • Very nice tribute...thanks!

  • a truly great drummer

  • what song is this?

  • 'going mobile' written by john entwistle from 'who's next' 71 One of the greatest rock albums ever.

  • Pete wrote this not John. It was part of Lifehouse

  • I don't understand why people gave you thumb downs...

  • Keith would have been an excellent choice of drummer for simon & garfunkel

  • NO...Keith Moon will always be known as an excellent choice of drummer for the WHO.

  • But cant you see him as drummer for Bob Dylan or the beach boys? His style would suite this gentle, soft kind of music, would it not?

  • Keith Moon's drumming was known for being very loud, fast, and all over the place!!! When Keith first played with the Detour's, Roger described the sound of his druming was like a jet engine, so it would probaly sound pretty bad with a band like the Beach boy's, even though Keith first played in a Beach boy like band called the Beachcombers.

  • Yes, I completely agree man, I was only joking - can you imagine Keith as drummer for the Beach Boys or Simon Garfunkel! Keith used to threaten Townshend that he would leave the who and become the drummer for his idols the Beach Boys. I found this hilarious! The idea that these perfectly crafted clean cut American boys with their perfect harmonies, but this this British monster on drums behind them

  • - that Keith thought this was a good idea is the funniest thing I've heard. Keith was a genius drummer, the best ever.

PS I actually live round the corner from Townshend, here on Richmond Hill. I've met him in the street once but he was difficult to talk to - not a people person. Shame Keith isn't around, I always heard he was very kind to fans (I'm not saying Pete isn't, I just probably caught him on a busy day)

  • Keith Moon was a natural, he just had it in him. RIP

  • dont you dare say keith moons overrated. no one could ever replicate him. impossible

you wanna talk overrated first person that should come to mind is JOHN BONHAM

  • John Bonham was also a great drummer. You ever listen to Moby Dick? The guy could flat out play. Keith Moon is good too, but John Bonham was deserving of all the credit he gets. He was sick man. I have a background in music and I am an experienced drummer. I recommend you listen to one of the live Moby Dick recordings.

  • moby dick is just repatative triplets. people just thought it was amazing cause it sounded fast. its nothing special. john didnt really do anything special other than moby dick. all of his songs are easy to play on drums. keith was sooo much harder to replicate than bonham.

  • i agree that Bonham was excellent, as were Led Zep. But I do think Keith Moon was unique, he is the Jimi Hendrix of the drums and is impossible to copy and hence why he never has been. He was on fire at the Isle of Weight, 1970.

  • I Think he is better then bonham

  • best drummer on this planet

  • keith moon isnt overated, u want to talk overated bring up travis barker or neil pert or joey joardson

  • too right keith is keith he didn't play back beat in his own words he played rifts on the drums

  • @Steelbackuk yes id did and still do......

  • @djmskat Bingo..that over rated baker. couldnt play anywhere near me. hes all about tatoos.and wallin his arms....thats it.......

  • kieth is and always be the best drummer

  • I LOVE KEITH HE IS AMAZING!!!!!! <3

  • name the song?

  • going mobile

  • @maraleja92 Going Mobile.

  • keith was an energy, it's not about good or bad but spirit...hey you heard him drivin those drums...live long keith on the other side

  • Keith Moon was by far the best drummer only person to come close to Moon is Neil Peart from Rush, aint never gonna be another Moon am affraid,Genious!!!

  • That guy on the drums behind the Gris Gris and Danny Goffey Of Supergrass are doing very well adapting into Keith's unique genius style but yes nobody can catch or match our MOONIE!!! Love rain O'er ME!

  • Not only was Moon the best, he could do things that other drummers of today and yesterday cannot do. He could switch up his feet on the lead bass drum, and many other things that drummers of today could not even try. As for Meteors916 comment, well everyone has an opinion, and I just gave you mine.

  • can you say badass

the only thing drummers now-a-days do is beat on the god damn bass pedals

keith moon pisses excellence all over them

    even after death

  • When I say drummers today, I dont mean metal drummers going a mile a minute with their feet. Im just saying that there are way better drummers out there. It just seems like its a TREND to praise Keith Moon, and nobody really knows why he is the greatest. Its one of those things; as soon as you die, then you are the greatest who ever lived.

  • i just hate drummers now a days

but i know what you mean by the after death thing

i think thats more towards kurt cobaine

    and kinda jmmy hendrix

  • wow ur retarted listen to young man blues?

  • Moon was fun and cool and drummed with great spirit and flair. What more do you want? He wasn't "the best"?--okay then. He's still my favorite and made look at--not just listen to--other drummers playing live.

  • can you say JEALOUS?

  • Meteors916, he was indeed revolutionary and that is why there may well have been/be better drummers that Moony. Evolution relies on others raising the bar, pushing the boundaries, in any walk of life, and that's what Keith did and why he is so reveered.

    Long live the Moony.

  • keith moon is the fucking best he kicks ass so fuck you you stupid bitch manaic druumer is the 1 im talking about if u told keith tht he would beat the fucking hell outta u i have the same kit as keith moon R.I.P. Keith John Moon

  • Keith is still my favorite after all these years. The drummer of Ride also has his "moonisms," but there will never be anyone as original, powerful and and important to the instrument of drums then the gingerman muppet!

  • ;((

  • A No.1

  • Keith Moon was simply most exciting and entertaining drummer that Rock music has ever had! RIP

  • Keith was the coolest! The who were never the same afer he died.

  • Latter day generations like me are in awe

  • you can just tell the Marvin Gaye influence

  • Disagree, the only drummers that can play as Keith RIP, is Cozy Powell RIP (Rainbow, MSG, Whitesnake, Black Sabbath and Brian May Band), Roger Taylor (Queen) and of course the number 1 drummer in Rolling Stones Magazine Neil Peart (Rush)

Long Live The Greatest Drummers Of All Time, Like The Legendary Keith Moon!!!!!!!!

  • fag keith moon is the best so fuck you

  • but, John Bonham still is the greatest drummer of the whole f*cking universe! Keith moon 2nd and peart well, moon kicks his ass!

  • keith moon was the best and then it was mitch mitchell for jimi hendrix and then it was bonham

  • great comment

  • No...alchohol and drugs suck dipshit! That's how he died. Keith was an original and master of phrasing. NO ONE did it like he did.

  • drugs suckk!

    i♥moonie

  • Moonie, freaking great.

  • it's such a shame keith moon died

  • I will alsways love you Keith and all drummers will be in your shadow

  • Hate it that he's gone...Keith rocks,The Who rocks! Please watch my Keith Moon Tribute.

  • Best drummer ever we Miss you keith

  • To everyone who says Neil Peart and John Boham are better.... Keith did it first. Sorry, but nothing can change that, besides he is an influence to all those great drummers. He was the best.

    LONG LIVE ROCK!

  • Kith Moon did what buddy rich did but took it to the next level, all others such as Bonham and pert offer us something different completely however moon was first and opened all the doors for the others, but please lets not forget Phil Collins

  • Yes, he took the jazz drumming to rock, but what i meant is that Ringo did´t, Watts did´t, Avory (kinks) either, Moonie did it; and Phil Collins, Boham, almost every drummer in the world are abvously influenced by Keith

  • Keith Moon Best Drummer ever! R I P

  • My favorite ever.Keith Moon you are alive for ever!Best drummer ever.

  • darrenedesignedu ur a prick moon the loon was amazing u nob head!!!id love to shit in ur fuckin mouth ha ha ha!

  • i'll shit in your neck after i rip your head off !ha ha ha

  • BEST drummer in the world. EVER!!! Awesome video!

  • must agree with matei16,what he may have lacked in technique,he made up with being a top fucking laugh and boozer.Neil Peart is good but drinking tea and talking drums all day is a bit fucking boring.Moon is an icon that sadly killed him but will be remembered long after Peart.xxx

  • keith moon had a ton of technique! and oh my god i can not even express my hate towards rush! moonie kicks peart's ass anyday!

  • He was a brilliant drummer...and rocks original mad man.

  • What a beautiful dress! It's a shame no one ever told him!

  • Keith Moon è il mio dio!!!

  • KEITH MOON è IL MIO IDOLO!!! RIP!!

  • r.i.p mate

  • The best drummer of all time here he is

  • you will always be my favourite keith rest in peace buddy....!

  • rest in peace buddy :|

  • Thank you so much for this. I have spent a good chunk of my life just trying to learn and appreciate as much as I can about this man. Keith Moon is a huge part of my life, and being a musician myself, his rhythmical stylings have changed the way I write and arrange my music. He's very important to me musically, and if I could meet any dead person in history, it would be him. Thank you for letting me know he hasn't been forgotten.

Rest in peace, Keith. I wish you'd made better decisions.

  • keith you are the most talented drummer ive ever heard of and seen, RIP

  • greatest drummer ever, rip keith

  • soo sad the way he died. we should all know ( and this may sound chessey ) but he is definatly rockn the drums in the sky. RIP : keith moon.

  • wildest, craziest, hes only the best drummer ever!!!!!!!!!

  • it very hard to say he died only due to sedatives and alcohol mixture...someone reported heroin and other chemical shit...it was the end of the Who. Also John Entwistle died for heart attack after a similar cocktail...musicians are strange persons, taking in light care life and the most important things

  • He had so many close call before, when he died Roger

was the first to tell Pete the bad news by saying......"Well, he's finally done it!" Sad ending to a colorful life.

  • one of the best of all time .. and lived life to the full god bless keith .....

  • Keith moon you are the BEST!Peace

  • liukarz...you are a fucking retard.

  • and u re a fucking ass hole&bastard.....
