Thanks, but this song and movie has nothing to do with the actress Madhubala. Off course there was a singer Madhubala Javeri, who was a Hindu, but Madhubala the actress was a Muslim. I wrote this to make the record stright and clear. :-)
This is my first time to listening K.L.Saigal. What a wonderful heart touching voice and touching to the notes (keys) going up and down without any effort which is not easy for a normal singer. What a legendary and superb style of singing.+ Great poet Ghalib and Great actress Madhubala!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful, marhabha. I grew up in a home immersed in Mirza Ghalib gazals, K L Saigal and Sufiana Qalam of Kashmir. This is a treat to die for. Thank you for uploading it. I am going through a sad period in my life, and this poetry is the medicine I need.
Many of the listeners of classical poetry have profoundly and correctly praised the unmatched and melacholic style of late K.L.Saigal's singing. My late father was such a great fan of this great artist.
But lets not forget that legendry poets like Mirza Ghalib had a genious not found till this in any other poet in both India or Pakistan. It was a combination of this union of great ghazals and singing which appeals us, who can understand impact this music can have!!!!.. Thanks''IMIRZA777''
Indeed MESMERIZING. The supreme BEAUTY of MADHUBALA ---------and the SUPERBLY profound words of GHALIB -----and then the GREAT way of singing by K L SAIGAL. This all is Wonderfully Wonderful combination. No adequate words to describe the ULTIMATE beautiful ,profound sensation it gives.
Even seventy eight years after Saigal's first record, no one has been able to explain Saigal to us in words. Only his singing is trying to explain to us but we are unable to receive its explanation because we do not have the developed enough senses. We can definitely enjoy his singing but are at a loss to understand what is going on. We can spend our whole life time trying to understand this magic created by only 182 songs. No one else like him came again.
Wonderfully wonderful. MY GOD -----what a superb presenatation. Superb poetry of GHALIB , Sperb singing by K. L. Saigal ,----------------and THE SUPERB BEAUTY----MADHUBALA. It is SUPERB throughout---------no adequate words to express the superb feeling this presentation gives. Thank you very much IMIRAZA777
Who else, but none, other then K.L.Saigal, could have expressed this Galib's dream sequence, (is it called rubai) better. Many thanks I was looking forward for this immortal upload. You have done a great service to both these great men, and for posterity. I also thank You Tube for this service.
With only 2 instruments, where tabla is notable, a youthful joyous pattern emerges that plays like a side hero, and enhances the beauty of the singer. Who has the dynamics and dominates. That's why many used to tune in Radio Ceylone at a particular time in the morning."Ab aap k.L.Saigal ko sunye..."
"Aa bhi jata woh rah pe Ghalib, koi din aur bhi jeye hote."
Wah, Ilyas Bhai, you added your special brand of joyfulness to my morning tea with the Ghalib verse, the immortal Saigal voice, and the glimpses of Madhubala's lovely face, some not seen by me before. Bahut shukriya.
Combination of classic kings Ghaligb, Kl saigal result immortal gift for thier lovers

Sharum tum ko magar nahin aati"
