  • STRAYA DAY, CUNTS

  • While I grew up on Flipper and Lassie, it was really neat to first see Skippy when I was in my early 30's. At least my kids got to grow up watching it. Still have a few shows on VHS.

  • I'm probably one of the only 16 year olds that has watched this show and still love it. When I was young, my favorite animal was the kangaroo, so my parents bought me a couple of seasons of it. best present ever!

  • I love this show

  • R.I.P Skippy.. Good actor and so cute. I got Flashback when i saw this

  • skippy always in my heart,,,,its a movie time during our childhood together with my late father,,,,,1960,s and early 70.s...on behalf of children of malaya singapore now malaysia,,and borneo.....skippy always in our heart...

  • Skippy is not just part of childhood for Aussies - it was also part of growing up for many British people now in their 40s and 50s, it was a favorite kids programme on ITV in the UK in the late 1960s and early 70s. Oh how things have changed

  • @Whitbywatcher I am 24 and I seen the re-runs when I was a kid. That and Lassie. Fuckign epic.

  • AWESOME

  • Wonderful childhood days when most us kids listened to our parents went to church said thank you for each meal served skippy was a time when australia only had a population in 1966 of 6 million people kids played outside not like now what a shame.age 52.

  • The Dumpert Culture +1

  • G'Day, I was the key grip on this show way back when & since getting on the interweb I've been able to look up all my old work. I'm in my early 70s now & lived a nice quiet life after this show, never said a bad word about it bc I'm not like that. Still the whole thing stinks & I want to get this off my chest. That kid was a little pervert who I caught between takes playing red rocket with that 'roo. I kicked up a fuss about it & got sacked bc I guess he sucked a lot of dick on set too.

  • @harveyderf How ya goin', matey? Tho I'm a few gen younger than you, I've seen a lot & I too have seen the horrors that went on 'behind the scenes' on Skippy! I was an extra, supposed to play one of that wanker Sonny's lil pals i ep. He was a right snot & snubbed me. Awrite, mate, you wanna play? So I thought I'd prank him good, catch him on the dunny pinchin a loaf HA HA but when I opened the door, I couldn't believe me eyes! He was sucking off Ed Devereaux like a bloody hoover! I feel for you!

  • skippys paws are awsome :D they can do thinks most human fingers just couldnt do xD lol

  • Skippy's paws weren't real.

  • footnote..one of the helicopters used in "Skippy" (VH-AHF), was involved in a fatal crash back in december 1966 when it was flying over Sydney harbour with a film crew from the ABC . The tail rotor failed due to a fatigue fracture in a retention bolt, the chopper spun out of control & despite attempted autorotation ,collided with Goldfields House then crashed through the Paul Building roof in Pitt st,the accident being filmed from both inside the chopper & on the ground. May they rest in peace.

  • This was on Animal Planet back in 1997. I thought it was an American series. I didn't know that this was an Australian show.

  • FAKE

  • To the comment saying that they would prefer Lady Gaga, Jersey Shore and Hipster music - you're a wanker mate, no idea what you're talking. Skippy is and will always be the best TV show ever. It does evoke memories for alot of people who can remember the good old days before your precious US garbage like hip hop and Jersey Shore were even thought of. Pull your head in you mug. Skippy forever.

  • Pre skin cancer worries, mate.

  • good old days everything so calm and friendly no shooting no killing just nice like it should be

  • SHOOT THE BASTARD

  • Still on air today as a rerun in the early hours of the mornings

  • these videos always spark some lame dipshit going "ooohhh i remember those days...ohhh when i was young"....etc etc

this show was / is a massive pile of shit...and thank god society has evolved to the point now where we wouldnt swallow this garbage under the thin guise of entertainment

  • @kingbrenty

Yea....Lady GaGa and Hipster music and Jersey Shore are way better and more pertinent.

    What a fucking Jackass.

  • @Minicat99 you sure are.

  • @kingbrenty well it aint about the show...and Im not f****n lame either or a dipshit. This is about a memory of life when things were simple...not workin 80 hours a week to pay for a f****in plasma TV for your kids. So you miss the point entirely

  • @strongbowdry Hardly Plasmas have burn in, I hope your kids hate you

  • @xlaleclx yes they hate me

  • @xlaleclx yes they hate me, Im sure they wanted LCD

  • @strongbowdry: You said it!

  • @kingbrenty Pull ya head in you mug, you wouldn't know entertainment if you fell over it. Take your Jersey Shore, Lady Gaga and Hipster music and shove it where the sun don't shine. Skippy is a reminder to alot of us Aussies of a much better time before people like you started worshipping all this so called shit they call entertainment today. Anyway if you think Skippy is crap why are you on here commenting? Moron.

  • @agburns84 so..Skippy exists as a reminder of the time before I started buying Lady Gaga cd's? wow, im kinda flattered that the whole system was set up around my likes/dislikes and buying habits!

  • @kingbrenty "and thank god society has evolved to the point now where we wouldnt swallow this garbage under the thin guise of entertainment"

    HAHAHA.

When you're 40 or 50, and are watching whatever garbage passes for entertainment now on whatever exists then, you'll get some snot nosed moron punk say the same exact thing about the lame ass stupid crap you watch as a kid.

What you don't get is that it's all lame and stupid, and it always will be. Nothing has changed a bit.

  • My mother for some bizarre reason makes a sound like skippy, so I often just come out with "Timmy's down the mine shaft?" when she does.

  • haha wtf? That Kangeroo was psychic haha

  • Screw this, where is that damned hottie? the teenage bombshell? Can't remember her name, just having a huge crush on her when I was a wee lad.

  • @clumpft you are too funny - forget the bouncing bush rat, where's the down under babe?

  • @Bearses Clancy! was it Clancy?? Arrrrggghh, I dunno, might have been...

BTW, another fine Aussie series was "Charlie the Wonder Dog" :-)

    RIP Charles Tingwell

  • @philbx1 only 3 were used ..Jo-Jo, Stumpy and Wildy, together with a few others, handling less demanding tasks.

  • 3 were used...... Jo-Jo, Stumpy and Wildy, together with a few others, handling less demanding tasks.

  • l remember watching 'Skippy The Bush Kangaroo' in New Jersey back in 1970 - 72, it was such a fun show, and yes Tony Bonner was very handsome, I wonder if he's still around?

  • skippy was the best in 1966 there were very few programmes for children, plus I was jealous,he had a kangeroo and I had a budgie

  • I'm very sorry to hear of the death of John McCallum, the creator of this wonderful TV series, who passed away this morning (Wed. 3 Feb. 2010) in a Sydney nursing home age 91. He brought much joy to all the children whose life was brightened by the series which was yet another iconic Australian TV production. My condolences to all his family and friends.

  • I have just heard the news, so sad to hear of John McCallums death. I was a kid in NZ and never missed it, Nothing today comes close
