  • I've got a PhD in political science, so does that qualify me to call this guy bat shit crazy?

  • schizo is when someone hallucinates and is delusional and its hard for them to function in daily life..bipolar..person goes through episodes of mania and depression simple..used to get these two d/o mixed up a lot but thanks to my psych prof i got it :)

  • do not explain anything to these people. even not explaining could be a mental illness. do not call 'we can help'. it all the same.

if you have a thought or a feeling SHUT UP. DON'T try to EXPLAIN IT FOOLS.

dr phil did intervention on divorce women for being moody and having a messy house. Basically if they think you have a psychosis then you better run fast! And he got real dodgy on questions too. rambling on we know it in the genes..etc. BUSH wanted kids to be tested. How denigrating.

  • Is sexual assault a mental illness? Seems to me a lot of women on medication were abused

  • Is this guy a patient? He seems a little off kilter himself.

  • psychiatrists generally don't understand that there are things in life that can have disturbing effects on people. FOr example people who have psychic abilities and have no control over it is very disturbing as you predict everything you do in the form of dreams and that can be very disturbing and psychiatrists will not acknowledge the fact these things exist and they just try and label people

  • Psychiatrists do go to medical school like any other doctor. They just choose psychiatry as their specialty the way other people will choose pediatrics or cardiology.

And sorry, 'doctor', but medical degree trumps Ph.D every time.

  • He's already going to piss a lot of people off by calling himself a doctor when he only has a Ph.D. You can only call yourself Dr. when you have a Doctorate. At my university, a professor who ignores these rules who spark an all out war. Imagine what would happen with a man who works along side people who actually went to medical school calling himself a docotr.

And yes, psychiatrists actually go to med school They have to cut open dead bodies just like everyone else.

  • @OliveOilMed a PhD is a "Doctorate" degree and there are different types of Doctorate degrees---one of which is a Medical degree---one of which is a Doctorate in psychology---you are in a university program and do not know this?

  • tv writers have it so, so spot on how absurd this is for years. it is not exaggerated on tv at all. that what its like.

Dr Oz is advocating this crap on his show now. He's a sicko now too.

Just 3 items and your mental ill. even just not looking at the phony jerk.

There's even have medication for dogs now.

This video is spot on and so true..be careful how your talk too. do not talk to mental heath or g. p. you will only be treated as mentally ill. Good-by!

  • A few good points lost in nonsensical radical views. I would agree that a lot of mental illness can be seen as a metaphor for something different than societies expectations as well as people going through a difficult time and not coping well and pharmacuticals have capatalized on the hoards of these people. That doesn't mean there isn't legitimate mental illness. Medication can assist people in recovery. Unfortunately it is emphasized way to much and people are over medicated.

  • Путеводная звезда приезжает планеты вступает в противоречия сильная только выдержит

  • il get it right i mean schizo affective sorry my spelling just wanted to spell it right now im compulsive good video this but im not sure where i fit in

  • sorry i mean pyzsho affective my apologies for my spelling mistakes

  • this video was unhelpful for me sadly i have psycho affective thats what they told me 12yrs ago i have been on quetiapin and lithium and other meds for lets say 12yrs and lithium for about 18yrs im 41yrs old and i dont feel human i dont feel i exsist its scary and i dont know what too do iv only been outside my home 6 times in 3 years i eat healthy because im isolated i have to eat healthy i am also a self harmer and im scarred all over my arms etc i dont know if i could ever step outside again

  • Another seller of snake oil on Youtube - I don't know how this person goes to sleep at night :( Throw in the usual conspiracy theories/stigma and the gullible will go for it. This type of thing is bordering criminal and doing a major diservice to the people who actually have the conditions mentioned.

  • Not until 11 minutes in does this guy bother to acknowledge the soma-psychotic or body-mind pathogenesis of detectable, physically manifested symptoms of bodily disease causing mental illness or ailments manifested in the brain. Up until 11 minutes in, he's just mr. psychologist trained in psycho babble who doesn't believe that any mental illness is real. Through this ignorance, he is perpetuating the very stigma which he claims should not exist. John Breeding, it's not a "metaphor"- IT'S REAL.

  • ok, so maybe mental illness does exist and medicines do help. however, look at what our govt and big businesses do that create this mental illness... toxic products... then people are prescribed more toxins to "manage" these reactions... what a vicious cycle!

  • He should go and see a doctor. He needs help.

  • I don't agree with him completely but I do somewhat agree that mental illness is a metaphor in the sense that those people aren't necessarily "crazy", they're just different and in order to operate in society and keep themselves calm, they may need some sort of medication to control the chemical imbalance. I believe some people need them, but most don't. Also, I do agree most of the medications make a person worse. But in no way do I think their problems aren't real, just exaggerated.

  • 1) Undermedication is just as dangerous as overmedication.

    2) Social commentary should never be used as a basis for treatment planning.

    3) How do you tell the difference between the patients and the staff in a mental hospital? The patients can get well and go home.

  • old faggots like this need to just fucking die

  • WHAT in the world is he saying is he saying 4:20 - 4:48????

    *Confudes

  • I'm saying that he is talking utter nonsense. I suufer from bipolar disorder and it is very REAL and it DOES run in my family, and medication DOES help... A LOT.

  • Do more research on ADHD before you generalize it in your video. There are actual brain scans that show people with ADHD have different brain activity than others when asked to perform a task. Also, there are subtypes of ADHD. It's not "kids who just want to play".

  • Good video.

Would suggest Peter Breggins book to anyone.

  • psychetruth you, my friend, are a moron.

  • @108vasudeva Are you saying that he's mentally ill?

  • I hate this guy so much.

  • 4 out of 5 voices in my head agree with this video.

  • @HandofDoom01 What does the other one say?

  • @HandofDoom01 two of mine are saying he is worst than me.

  • @FoolAlym Good comparison....It just so happens that people who foolishly choose to consume these degrading chemicals long term will probably need to take insulin as well after they develop diabetes.

  • Comment removed

  • @FoolAlym thats what my pysic said today i thought of doin a hard drug but he said it make it worse,i sometimes wish to get ina wreck or somethign get hit in the head so i want have the same repating bad thoughts everyday ive ben like this 34 yrs now

  • @FoolAlym nonsense

  • @FoolAlym How true. My sister has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for the past 31 years because everytime she gets out, she goes off her meds and ends up back in with an even worse breakdown.

  • @Darenkear her first mistake was "meds" which themselves gave her a permanent psychosis which is now physical because of those KILLER drug poisons. Her second mistake was psychiatric "hospital". Psychiatrists and pharm criminals are assaulting and murdering the american population. They should be sentenced to a painful capital punishment for their crimes.

  • @FoolAlym bs. You might as well claim not taking arsenic is bad for you. In fact arsenic would be better than taking the slow killing brain destroying poisons the worst criminals of society dispense to kids. pharm and psychiatric are 100% QUACKS.

  • Great video!

  • You call yourself a doctor yet my life partner is paranoid schizophrenic. If she was not taking her meds she would not be able to cope with every day life. How can you say its not something that needs to be treated and that she is just "troubled"?

  • Wait wait wait.... So you can criticize mental health as having no means of being proved by empirical research, yet you CAN claim that "divinity" and "mysticism" is the answer? While maybe mental illness is overly prescribed, it DOES and WILL exist too... at least as much as your "divinity."

  • I have mental illness and have been helped ALOT by my medication. True, I had to try a few first, but finally found one that greatly reduced my psychotic episodes, paranoid behaviour and stopped me carrying a knife an walking around dressed in black at 4am following lone ppl...

But I recognise that.in some cases, normal people are mis-diagnosed and put on meds they dont need, but there are those of us that do have real brain imbalances which are helped alot by medications.

  • i hear voices and i have bi polar,i hate to think im messed up in the head, i dont think i am, the state deemed me fuckd up.but im not crazy.i asked my brother and he thinks i shouldnt.but my girlfriend loves me.and i think its just a state of mind.i can get better if i try to learn.and do not stirr up the devil.and ill get better over time.i dont take my meds

  • Mental illness is caused by society and it is NOT done innocently. These chemical imbalances are results of mental illness not causes. Practically all mental illness is the result of child abuse. I am sick of hearing about these genes. As far as I can tell, the only people who get mental illness that are not abused children are dopies.

  • @0faye See "Repressed Memory Scandal," Mr. Freud.

  • Mental illness is caused by society and it is NOT done innocently. These chemical imbalances are results of mental illness not causes. Practically all mental illness is the result of child abuse. • The more I listen to this man...the more sense he makes.

  • This video is a brilliant, his saying the truth and the truth shall set us free, we have to see all the videos he posted about the subject, and thank God that this wonderful man is trying to help people not to fall into the trap of treating these mental illnesses with pharmaceutic medications, and suggest new understanding in these videos so we realize the truth about Pharmaceutical companies and their paid research to make us believe that the only help is through their medications...

  • The Arizona shooter, Jared Loughner was a liberal pothead. In order for a true mental illness to be diagnosed one must be clean for two years for brain chemistry to normalize enough for a proper diagnosis. The left is trying to blame it entirely on mental illness now that it has been established that he was a liberal. (see my About Me for link)

At first the left not only blamed Palin & Beck for the shooting but campaigned to revoke Palin’s right to freedom of speech.

  • This is not psychoeducation. I'm currently on Lamictal, Lithium and Seroquel(BP I), and know exactly how ill I can get when without medications. I've probably been dead by, seen dead people or been a heroin addict. Thanks to the drugs above I have a normal life. This guy is either delusional, denying his own condition, or (more likely) he don't have a serious mental illness. Psychopharmica and psychotherapy worked for me!

  • @StrangeLobster87 That's exactly my point. The drug/s help you lead a more stable life. It can take some time to be correctly diagnosed and get the correct treatment, but it's possible to get there. Sometimes, lifestyle changes just don't make any difference and drugs are needed. People can't always help the hand they've been dealt. Drug companies might like making billions, but those who knock them (like this guy) also have their own agenda , despite the holier-than-thou attitude they possess.

  • I do know the answer to 1 thing for sure. i've cured 6 people so far who are Schizo

with meditation. I put them in a room sitting on a bed for 2 weeks straight, with a 10 min break / 30 min in a day for each meal time & showered once a week. They sit on their beds just starring at their surrounding.

They all have said that it's such a pain for the first 3-4 days but after that they felt relaxed.

Coming out after 2 weeks they don't even remember having Schizophrenia.

    Worked 100% with all 6

  • John breeding is a scientologist. Nuff said.

  • As I have watched many of these videos, but the fact is I take psychotropic drugs and will continue to take them as long as they help me get from day to day. I do not have schizophrenia, but I have bipolar. Whatever your beliefs are on "mental illness" don't confuse yourself to thinking that you would feel safe living in a community that restricted the use of psych drugs. I am clinically "crazy" and I would never freely feel safe if I knew there were not medications to calm certain aspects of MH

  • @sdhadg Well said. These people that don't seem to care for these mental health drugs, they wouldn't last a week with a mental illness - with no meds.

  • even if so, who says Carcinogenic substances do not exist in Psychoactive drugs!

cant prove they all do,but they still do. A sperm is a cell, in which it is also a half living organism, this organism(sperm) is a type of Hormone that circulate in the blood stream and brain. and when you have a Psychoactive drug in your system and masterbate or have intercourse you are encouraging a mixture which can lead to problems to the person himself or his seed, when it becomes a person as well.

  • I've just listened to a song called " In Your Mind " by Andrew gerbasi feat steve morrison. It had some serious meaning to it and perhaps you could have a listen a post a comment. Mental Illnes is a very serious problem and we need to spread the word to raise awareness so people dont continue to turn a blind eye.

  • lol ohh that part well i've never seen or heard of a human being born with Schizophrenia or Bipolar without them or their parents doing any street/med drugs (impossible) so that is why we here call it a side affect discorder and not a mental illness to anyone who is a schizo or bi and i'am working on proving what sex while on drugs does, just have trouble finding a human guinea pig.

90% of the world do not understand the reality of false information no matter how convincing it can be on you.

  • @vaheedh You are incredibly deluded. Psychoactive drugs do not necessarily affect your sperm/ova. Carcinogenic substances are much more likely to affect this as they interfere with cell and specifically DNA replication.

Please go do some research into biological functions and sciences before coming up with theories like this. Correlation != causation.

  • Well I am so glad that God is not responsible for people being such miserable states of misery, confusion, and paranoia. Just as simple as that. Just DNA. Never the mind that I was born with the same DNA, which just magically changed at the age of 20. Never the mind that we have discovered through adoption and people moving throughout the world that thought is not created by DNA- a San bushman has just as much capability in becoming a cardiovascular surgeon as anyone else given the opportunity.

  • Is the San bushman forced by his DNA to worship his ancestors? Was it written there? Never the mind that we can have identical twins who share exactly the same genes who think totally different and have very different personalities. Though we can point to identical twins and say there is an increased chance that if one twin has schizophrenia the other will- supporting your theory of DNA as the source of mental illness, it still doesn't explain the other twins who only have one who is ill.

  • Much better than drugs is falling in love , physical, emotional, spiritual.... of nature, or your old always wanted dream... I do not belive in mental illensses in stone age, iron age, bronz age! I belive that , contemporary way of life takes too much of our souls!!! ......weak or strong.....

  • Long term madications for " supposingly" "mental illnesses ", make you much more worse than you believe !!!

  • Stop medication if you don't really need !!!!!!! Ask your doctor to stop medication safely!

  • there is no dark side of the moon, really. matter of fact it's all dark.

  • This guy is full of crap. Mental Illness is real. I know plenty of people with these type of things. Drugs can help, but they should be used VERY carefully. I also think therapy can HELP-no its not going to get rid of it though.

  • ADD/ADHD can be 'cured' by more stimulation and reward. In a society and western world where there are no trees, and rewards are selfish desires and earned and punishment is harsh. It's hardly surprising that people now need some kind of 'chemical' reward and pleasure in such a miserable selfish society. Go google natural cures for ADHD and you'll find green environments, rewards and other pleasurable activities causes symptoms to vanish, even better than meds. a broken society of broken minds.

  • anyone who would go to war or try to manipulate people or personify God is mentally ill. There's a condition that not many speak about that affects 1/25 people. It's called being a psychopath. They are maipluators and compulsive lyres, they have no guilt and they run the country and institutions and anyone who goes against the flow of man made society is deemed by them mentally ill and medicated. the lunatics rule the asylum. If it's genetic, it's racial.

  • Ok, I've had so called 'mental illness' and I've taken and come off of a hell of a lot of meds (and believe me the withdrawl from anti-psychotics beats any kind of trip youd have from prohibited drugs hands down). The cause of my issues are social, I can 'fix' all my problems using cognative techniques (you know problems with thought can be fixed by thinking, surprise surprise). Yep, a chemical lobotomy will delude you into thinking it works. so will a bullet in the head. so will heroin.

  • No Wheat, No Milk, take the GMO's out of your diet. Eat Vegetables and Fruit.

You will get better! Change your Diet Change your life!

  • I saw John breeding (just kidding LOL)

  • i don't know what's wrong with me i might have schitzophrenia i don't know i hear whispers and i see cats ghostly cats it's kind of freaky O.o

  • Did lord Xenu tell you all this?

  • Medication is both good and bad. From some people anti-depressants or anti-psychotics really do help. Other such as myself (bipolar manic depression) medication not only did not help, it add negative side effects. I think what needs to realize there is no quick fix to issue involving mental health; and to try and realize that each person is an individual. What works one person does not work for all.

  • Comment removed

  • I found this video very interesting. I have a history of manic depression and lost two members of my family due to mental illness. I've lived with my illness for 50 years and recently decided to challenge it by trying to recollect all of the events attributed to it and writing my life story. I went through some scary moments, it was like being on a shrinks couch for 50 years, but it worked. I am now certain that it was childhood trauma that caused my problems, and now they are gone, expunged.

  • @TheRealBayTheMoon yep, childhood trauma kicked it off for me and most people I know, for other's it was believing the lies others told or trauma caused by having to fit into a very unnatural high pressure society. Unless you where born Mad something must have made you that way.

  • The whole concept of psychiatry was developed well before 1900 in Germany to get rid of people complaining. The first use of directed energy weapons can be recognized in psychiatric literature from 1908. You find it in chapter Psychiatrie-->Klinik der Narkolepsie on my homepage. During the NAZI time this concept was given up as Germany just murdered oponents. It was relaunched directly after the war to persecute and silence concentration camp survivors.

  • let me guess...thats why you keep coming back, right?

  • STOP TAKING DRUGS!!!! ( both street and med)

DRUGS ARE NO JOKE...STOP TAKING IT

OR END UP FIGHTING WITH YOURSELF FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE

you stupid dumb homosapions, i feel bad for all of you and at the same time i dont care about none of you, cause your mindless dumb asses who just dont understand

and stop blaming society or your family for what happened to you

you did this to yourself, end of story.

    ..so just STOP.............STOP

  • the reality is that there isnt help availble for mental ilness if such a thing really does occur which i am not entirely sure it does. many people in small towns with mental problems have little access to help and in the real world nobody is going to hold ur hand everywhere you go as you r on ur own. the government make out that people care andf there is help but the reality is quite different from how it is put across. people with mental health are often classed as stupid wen they are not

  • there is a cure for Schizophrenia

but the problem is, everybody wants the easy way out( which is impossible)

there is a cure but the only 1 who can produce it is you (the sick)

and that is too hard for alot of people too understand apparently

  • Comment removed

  • SOCIETY CAUSES MENTAL ILLNESS. Medication cannot cure mental illness because mental illness is (innocently) caused by society, the government and the environment, affecting different individuals differently especially a certain gender of the individual will recieve the greatest impact and affect of mental illness (innocently, but depending) caused by society that will differ from the opposite sex as we so often see when males interact with females on the same planet.

  • @domram12

hit the nail on the head

we can't fix this problem any more than we can fix the setting of the sun

  • To the people that don't believe in mental illness - BITE ME

  • you sound as dumb as you look doctor. If it wasnt for these so called useless drugs, id be dead by now. I would like you to try maybe say a week...in someones shoes that has say...schizophrenia. Live thoer life...then add to that, the meds you HAVE to take to stay in "reality' And i know, its hard to believe that people hear voices inside their head. I used to not believe that myself. Then I got schizophrenia (my Mother had it) Been living with it 15 years now. Seroquel saved my life.

  • society is sooo stupid, can you people get any dumber?

mental illness like biopolor is not a disease,

it is a side affect discorder, caused by street drugs or other dangerous chemicals

it is only passed down from father/son if the father has sex while using drugs..alcohol works in a similuar way but only in pregnant women

thats why drugs are no joke.yet stupid STUPID STUPID uneducated people like you do it anyway

but whatever just say this with me... side affect discorder.

  • @vaheedh are you serious? I get it, you are trying to look stupid! At first i thought you maybe really believed what you wrote. lol your comment was pretty funny. You should be a comedian!

  • @vaheedh you seem to know allot; what medical school did you graduate from?

  • @vaheedh

that is the dumbest thing you have ever said vaheed

  • @marsbarz LOL which part..

  • @vaheedh

the part where you pissed on an entire university because it didnt measure up to your expectations which were arbitrarily set by no relevant, useful experience??

also can you prove what having sex while intoxicated on drugs does??

  • @vaheedh I disagree. my dad's never done drugs. my mom's never done drugs. They certainly didn't do any drugs while having sex, and yet I have schizoaffective disorder. I don't take medicine for it, I just have a good support network

And please, insult me with proper spelling and grammar. Clearly you think you're better than me, but at least respect yourSELF and act as intelligent as you think you are. You owe it to yourself.

  • @vaguelyreptilian lol I'm not insulting im just explaining. Anyway how do you have schizo? you've never done street drugs in your life? and what are your symptoms/signs from the schizo, i just need to know

maybe schizo comes from another source, idk, but im trying really hard to find the answer.

p.s. Just so you know my spelling & grammer are purposely impropered b-cuz of the limited space.

  • looks like hutch.

  • It's amazing how Belief works, if you believe you're sick, chances are you will become "sick". If you believe a placebo is making you better, you could become better. People need to fully look at psychotropic medicine and see, how much it helps, vs how much it harms...

  • Hey! It would be awesome for you to do this survey. Thanks! w w w . esurveyspro. com/Survey. aspx?id= c65aab92-141c-4841-9dbd-

  • i need epilum and quitiepein-- brain injury-- wheel brace hiding n alcohol and weed = frontal lobe dysfunction or bipolar and psychosis... spirits are real though. (visual + oral hallucinations r real and scary!!!)

  • Please take into consideration the folks that view your videos. Some of them, like myself, actually really need the meds we are on to keep us from hurting ourselves or others and this is basically telling them that mental illness doesn't exist. The worst thing you can do is undermine the treatment of these individuals for the sake of 'speaking out'. You are a psychologist not a psychiatrist, please stick to what you know.

  • @roseypeach I now understand the feude between psychiatrists and Psychologist. I am on the psychitrists side. My brother has paranoid schizophrenia and I was diagnosed with it too. Without meds neither me or my broher would be here.

  • Amen on teachers saying there's something wrong with kids who don't want to sit in a desk all day and learn boring things. If the prussian model is the correct mode of educating, why are there so many problems with it? The kids who misbehave IMO are the most sane, they're behaving normally with reference to the broad arc of human history and even the freedom adults have today.

  • I don't know what you're saying about drugs. Psychiatrists have their own special interests as well, and it appears to be motivated, at least in part, out of an irrational anti-corporation bias.

  • You speak the complete truth! It's nice to know that people are actually aware of whats happening.

  • excellent points, especially the end punchline

  • While medication plays an important role while we are in a crisis state, others whys none as being psychotic.Their comes a point we're we move on and begin to work at being medicated on very low doses or none at all for many. How many of you are told that you will have to be medicated for the rest of your lives.I no i was.Well i can tell you this is not the case. The truth is we can all recovery and have total control over our lives

  • I AM THE FIRST PERSON TO HAVE MADE A FULL RECOVERY FROM

SCHIZOPHRENIA BECOMING MEDICATION AND SYMPTOM FREE. ON THE 1ST OF NOVEMBER 2010 I WAS TOLD BY PSYCHIATRY THAT I HAD MADE A FULL RECOVERY FROM MY DIAGNOSED CONDITION OF SCHIZOPHRENIA

I am now fully aware that this statement is one hundred present the truth .

Psychiatry seems to rely more and more on using anti-psychotic medication as the answer to all our problems, when in fact our own recovery all depends on us

  • Sounds to me like your experiencing delusions. Go and have yourself mentally assessed.

    Ignorant, and borderline insulting.

  • Comment removed

  • Wow. Talk about a need to read some academic journals. This is beneath contempt. Never seen such idiocy before.

  • First of all, knowing that the brain is a physical entity, I can't believe that there are absolutely no bona fide mental illness caused by brain dysfunction. secondly, there are a lot of mood disorders that have more to do with a person's situation in life than with some basic chemical imbalance, because our minds are very dependent upon our social interaction as well. So I distrust anyone who would lump all disorders in either category.

  • I'm a psychologist and this guy is just ignorant. There is plenty of evidence to show that mental illness is biological and my colleagues and I have all accepted that. Psychiatry is the only really good treatment for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. I hope this guy can accept this as most psychologists have, and can stop judging a profession that has helped many people in need.

  • wow....such ignorance! Educate yourself!

  • This made my day

  • I take Epilim for bipolar disorder, and despite what might be said in this video, I know I'm much better off taking my medication. Without it I have had periods of deep darkness where I was considering suicide, and long periods of wasting money and delusional behaviour that came crashing down in one day, like a stock market crash.

I wonder if people who criticise the medications have ever suffered a mental illness to know what they're really talking about. I very much doubt it.

  • @lumabi25 Well you are obviously fucking insane, and whatever you say here is meaningless.

  • @lumabi25 well said. i also take psych meds for bipolar disorder and am much better off for it.

  • @de6789 Thank you very much. I appreciate your reply much more than the first reply I got from someone else who basically attacked me.

  • @lumabi25 yes, i saw that and thought it was pretty juvenile. so i left a comment supporting you and left for greener video pastures!! you might like this the "bring change 2 mind" channel. i sure did!

  • @lumabi25 Just because the medicine works does not mean we shouldent criticize it. If there are faults, we should improve it and get better. This does not mean absolute refrain from existing medicine just because it has bi effects, but it means that we don't settle for faulty meds.

  • @lumabi25 so true. people that criticize medications dont understand that mental illness is biological and people cant just get rid of it through a little talking. I've seen how much medications can help. my brother has schizophrenia.

  • @747291j How do you think he had it to a clinical level in the first place. Let me guess, he believes the original source, or 'seeing is believing'. If there where not lies in the world, he would not believe them. He can learn to detach himself from things and also deal with the anxiety that cause many of the issues, cognitive issues! I have 6 friends with schizophrenia the ones on the meds are cabbidges, the ones not on them are getting on reasonable well. All have tried them, so have I.

  • @747291j i dont completely agree with you .i have mental illness not schitzofrenia i have severe bipolar disorder and from what i can understand from me and from the doctors that examined me my illness is by no case biological the reason is the enviroment where i grew up into the violence i accepted and the mal treatment from the people around me,mental illness in most cases is defined by the enviroment we grow up in minor cases it is because of the genes and the structure of the brain

  • @kokomanation drugs are necessary

  • @747291j I wouldn't agree, some illnesses can be cured through therapy, biology, learning, and cognitions play a part in most mental illnesses as research suggests.

  • @lumabi25 I criticize medications every day and yes, I have suffered from "mental illnesses." I was twice diagnosed with ADD and many times diagnosed with depression. Recurring, at that. I took antidepressants for a while and they seemed to work. I took myself off them. I realized that the medication did nothing for me. I then realized that it was not the medication that made me "better." It was my state of mind.

So yes. People who criticize meds have suffered "mental illnesses" before. :)

  • @lumabi25

There are LEGITIMATE criticisms of the use of medications.

Primarily, the criticism is that they are OVER PRESCRIBED in cases where the behavioral, emotional or thinking problem is NOT chemical in origin. It's very easy for a doctor to just prescribe a pill rather than go through the long process of addressing the real issues. So the temptation is there, and there is much evidence to support the claim that it does happen way too often.

  • @lumabi25 Pavlovian response, placebo affect, not having tried 'alternatives', not knowing how people coped and cope where there are no medications. Accepting that society is correct and not a man made product. Being deluded due to cognitive dysfunction caused by medications. Believing the drug companies that the shrink believes. Until you've been a heroin addict, don't tell me heroin doesn't work.

  • @lumabi25 i'm bipolar, but the drugs that put me on made me a zombie, mindless and dead to the world. i told my shrink to shove her drugs up her ass and i've functioned just fine without them for years now. self control and a bitter stubbornness goes along way with bipolar.

  • @lumabi25 I do. I have Paranoid schizoephective disorder and PTSD i used to take meds but they just didn't work. My brother was given too much medication by a doctor and was killed. so you are incorrect on assuming what you have! Just thought you should know.

  • @ParadoxmProductions I don't deny some people are misdiagnosed and given the wrong treatment. Sure, it definitely happens. The fact is that whilst drug companies make billions, the people who are health practitioners of some type (like the guy in this video) and who denounce drugs as terrible things also have an agenda. To make a living they say "Dont' trust them, trust me". That's an indisputable fact of life. All you can do is try and find what works for you. No-one is truly on your side.

  • @lumabi There are side effects for every drug. Drugs should only be used as an adjunct therapy and temporarily if you want long term health and stability. But if you believe there is something wrong with you like "bipolar disorder" than you can create excuses. Everyone is diagnosed with bipolar disorder this way. No need to reinforce our negative patterns. It seems like you may feel happy about your drug choice for now, convenient.I hope it helps people understand this is just normal human behav

  • @lumabi25

Hi there. By no means do i wish to criticize you or invalidate your reality but I can tell you that it is true (and I know from personal experience) that these medications do not actually CURE anything!!!! Mental illness is really a glorified term for regular environmental responses!!!! . But anyway, point here is this, for our emotional aberrations there are real ways of handling and eliminating them. Get the book Dianetics!!!! Please ask me anything..Let me know your view of Dintcs

  • @rollingwaters I also know from personal experience that meds don't cure anything, only manage it. Drug companies aren't out to cure. Despite hearing about things in the news, they don't want to cure things like cancer. Cures aren't profitable. Why kill the goose that laid the golden egg?

As for Dianetics, Google and Wikipedia are wonderful revealers.

  • People make millions of of heart disease and the meds that help to fight heart disease. I guess heart disease is not a fact, because there is profit to be made off of heart disease. The logic is soooo flawed. Anyone that has lived with someone with mental illness will either laugh, cry or get angry when they see this. This is scary dangerous video. Social Worker

  • @buddhahorns agreed! I did grow up around it. Browsing these videos that are saying it doesn't exist and the medicines should not be taken, etc. Makes me want to scream! I was in the Springfield mall the day Seegrist went in to shoot everyone-after not being on her medicine. I also went through many episodes with my mother having to be 302'd because she thought the medicine was "poison" (paranoid schizophrenic) and she went into tirades and things I couldn't begin to tell here.

  • i wish this guy was my doctor....my doc is brain dead.

  • I remember when I first got diagnosed with schizophrenia and I knew now that I think of it I had the symptoms but thought no its depression I would look in the health guide for depression and convinced my self I was depressed and I did see schizophrenia on the next page but said no I don’t have that its to weird and then the docs found out it was in fact schizophrenia .

  • @9234The what was the deciding factor in that?

  • and the government cant help because they know how you went crazy in my view by smoking pot and wont help you with your habit . We are trapped and wont get out. Theres nothing were fucked for life.

  • You can never get married with this dieses/ schizophrenia and shouldn’t and/or your kids get the dieses to and if you do its gonna be hard and feel like a trap and being in 4 boxes and not gonna get out and if you even some how get a gf the relationship wont last at all I suggest nothing and do nothing YOUR TRAPPED

  • It's not always a bad gene or chemical imbalance. ALOT of it is environmental.....! Kidz aren't raised right! They need Jesus in their life......and most people don't offer anything like Jesus....

  • @mrskikizz

    Christfag detected.

Keep your bullshit religion to yourself.

The reason why they don't, is because they most likely do not believe in "Jesus."

Did you not consider this? There are other religions than the Christian faith, and of that, I can't determine, but there is probably more who do not believe in that Jew. There isn't any way that I can prove Jesus to not have been alive. He could have been real, though you have to also consider the theory of God. It is completely nonsensical.

  • @mrskikizz

God is proved wrong to have created the universe through science. Though most scientific theories of the creation of the earth and the universe cannot be proved fully in some aspects, such as the Bing Bang theory itself; all of the theories are backed up with evidence in some way, thus making the idea of God and Jesus, as always been, just nothing more than a myth; and making Christians nothing more than delusional replicas of Jews from classical history.

  • @heIpIess

God is proved to HAVE created the universe through science.

  • @DazzieMetallikat God makes no sense. it's illogical babble. sorry.

  • @tonybeir

No, he makes perfect sense. A lot more sense than Evolution, that's for sure.

  • @DazzieMetallikat

God is not real, and science proves this. Science does not prove that he is real. Science explains how the universe was created, and nothing of what science states includes the theory of God. Only delusional Christfags, much like yourself believe that he is because you are taught that he is real. Early civilizations could not prove any type of phenomena, so they created gods to explain things. The only thing different about monotheism is that there is only one figure.

  • @DazzieMetallikat

And the reason why these early civilizations believed this, is because they did not possess the proper knowledge to explain things. This century does; you puerile failure. You believe everything you hear and you think things are so because they have been preached to you. Realize that the theory of God will always be a theory, nothing more; he cannot be proved, and making it illogical when compared to modern explanations.

  • As opposed to believing that the Earth and life itself, the most complicated of all things, arose from, literally, nothing exploding?

As opposed to all of these things, the universe and everything, which is all made up of information, having a creator that knows everything? All information has a sender. Even children know that. Therefore its obvious that God created the universe, since everything is made up of information it has to have a sender. Of course, you probably don't understand that.

  • @DazzieMetallikat

Astronomy, probably physics altogether, something of course, you probably don't understand.

The only sender of information is the one who discovers the information, that is not "God;" it is the people. If you had a brain, you would know this.

Some children believe in that, because they are taught that, just as I said.

Due to instinct, people share knowledge. It's how we know what we know today. If there was an all-knowing figure, everything would be explained.

  • @heIpIess

No matter what evidence I provide, it's obvious you'll only deny it. Goodbye.
