do none of you think that its probably the phone being iffy? theyre turning it and its doing nothing. its practically on its side and the games not responding! although the response is really jerky due to the gearing and the tiny wheel, you'd expect the phone to react to the tilting much better!

Cool Idea, but you need a bigger gear on the steering wheel shaft, maybe even go 1:1.

It will be a lot easier than that over-leveraged setup you've got now. Try some diff gears and have a blast, I know I'm gonna go try it, thanks for the idea!

He appears to have a 1:1 on the wheel and phone rotation speeds, which is probably the most you'd want. I think if the gear ratio was higher, the phone might actually be more difficult to control.
