I am a registered Libertarian, so I was not able to go vote for Ron Paul. Tbh, I am not so sure that he would win the election for president if he ran as an independent. Well too true... Chomsky and Edwards have a great book (manufacturing consent) which shows how bias is worked into the news despite a seemingly unbiased approach to it. I actually agree with most of what he has to say, but his foreign policy of non-intervention is not only impossible, but dangerous. This country cannot maintain isolationism, all it does is cause things to get worse. We've tried it multiple times, and it's failed each and every one. If he'd change that one view, I'd be willing to bet he'd get a lot more votes.

The way I see it Jaeron2, is that we can get out of the rest of the world's beuisness, though it might not be safe to do it as quickly as Ron Paul wants. It's just that we've messed around in affairs so much that we are now hated and therefore unsafe. We need to improve relations before we completely pull troops out.

I would agree that even if he has no shot of winning, he should still be there. However, not only does he have no shot of winning, his arguments fail, and all he does is cause disruptions because he's so far off it's sad. Finally, as far as him not being able to win, just because a bunch of Internet people have turned him into a fad doesn't mean he's gonna come even CLOSE to being popular enough to get even a small margin of votes.
Am I a 9/11 truther, no not according to what most think the term to mean. What they were trying to do is to alienate about 1/3rd of his supporters who question the official story of 9/11, pure and simple they wanted to try to dwindle support for Paul down by getting rid of some of his supporters. As paul said though he cant and is not willing to tell others what to say etc.. Beyond this blatant bs of a question is one small basic truth. That is that a candidate may not agree with everything every one of his supporters says and does.

Ron Paul last nice participated in a debate hosted yet again by Fox (the people you can trust *sarcasm*) Where instead of asking Ron Paul a real question to a real issue, they asked him if he knew some of his supporters were 9/11 conspiracy theorists etc.. then they asked him to either embrace their message, tell them they are wrong, and tell them to not support him if they keep it up. This was a loaded question, and really wasn't a question.
FoxNews excluded him for two reasons. The first one being his terribly poor showings, (He doesn't have a shot in hell of getting enough votes to be the party choice) and secondly, his showing at the ABC debate. He did terrible, and was laughed at. And as far as "The roar of the crowd", go ahead and watch when he gave his speech at the ABC debate. He got a clap from one person. Just one. Ron Paul is dead.

I don't really think Fox is biased, it's because he has 0 chance of winning, but you could say the same for Thomson. I think Thomson was included just because he is more of a recognizable public figure, and people have only started hearing of Ron Paul a few months ago. Regardless, neither have a chance, and I think neither should have been included. Paul just disrupts the whole general flow of the discussion with outdated isolationist ideas, and Thomson has nothing worthwhile to say.

I am a registered Libertarian, so I was not able to go vote for Ron Paul. Tbh, I am not so sure that he would win the election for president if he ran as an independent. Media feeds us only Democrat and Republican garbage. Anyone in between is considered merely an independent. I bet if Ron Paul ran as an independent, he would just be everyone's second choice like Ross Perot was back in the day.

Every news station did. CNN, ABC, CBS, FOX, CNN - all of them paraded us to war.
And Scott Ritter tried to prevent it. He was the chief UN weapons inspector, a lifelong republican, and ex marine, and was 100% right.
He got interviewed once or twice, but that was it.
ALL the media is like Fox, Fox only stands out because they have fairly unique propaganda compared to the other stations.

Well too true... Chomsky and Edwards have a great book (manufacturing consent) which shows how bias is worked into the news despite a seemingly unbiased approach to it. Fox is unique in that they aren't concerned with seeming fair, they figure if they keep saying they are "fair and Balanced" eventually some will accept it.

I'm in agreement with dspanu. Watching youtube videos, reading conspiracy theorist columns, and listening to radio programs that search for things to be negative about does not equal "educated." It's a skewed, one-sided view of things (the IRS, the Federal Reserve, and the income tax are a few examples) which 99% of Ron Paul supporters know nothing about aside from what they've gotten from these sources.

I actually agree with most of what he has to say, but his foreign policy of non-intervention is not only impossible, but dangerous. This country cannot maintain isolationism, all it does is cause things to get worse. We've tried it multiple times, and it's failed each and every one. If he'd change that one view, I'd be willing to bet he'd get a lot more votes.

I would agree that even if he has no shot of winning, he should still be there. However, not only does he have no shot of winning, his arguments fail, and all he does is cause disruptions because he's so far off it's sad. Finally, as far as him not being able to win, just because a bunch of Internet people have turned him into a fad doesn't mean he's gonna come even CLOSE to being popular enough to get even a small margin of votes.

McCain got 0 Votes in Nashua, where as Ron Paul received 4,294 votes distributed by The Associated Press - January 09, 2008 - 10 Hours ago. As of now, new poll results have been placed under the Associate Press.
I find it mysterious how the same exact votes Ron Paul initially have, suddenly became McCain's - 4,294.

Anyone with a single political science class sees Ron Paul as a danger to America. We will see the death of our economy under him. He is soft on drugs and pedophiles. He's supported legislation to amend the constitution so that your State government elects your senators, and NOT you. He would gladly see the end of American business dominance.

If there is clear evidence of 30K+ Ron Paul voters who actually voted, it PROVES the NH primary is rigged and must immediately be challenged for recount. RP patriots have KNOWN this would be the case. Rigging and fixing elections, media bias and manipulation denies Americans true democracy regardless of candidate or party. I don't really think Fox is biased, it's because he has 0 chance of winning, but you could say the same for Thomson. I think Thomson was included just because he is more of a recognizable public figure, and people have only started hearing of Ron Paul a few months ago. Regardless, neither have a chance, and I think neither should have been included. Paul just disrupts the whole general flow of the discussion with outdated isolationist ideas, and Thomson has nothing worthwhile to say.
