@snake1eyes666 ah cool! looking forward to getting one. gonna get a cheap 125 to ride around on til i can afford one. looks like a bandit handles the restriction well. what restrictor kit do you have?
@snake1eyes666 yeah, that's why it's aimed at marcsutyou, I know the bandit's going to be heavier than most 125s, but the extra horsepower can make up for that
@EUMP i can redline mine and dump the clutch and it barely brings the front wheel up....? am i doing something wrong? im not a shit rider and was riding de restricted until new couldnt risk license....cheers
@marcsutyou you don't want to red line it to dump the clutch, bring the revs up to around 5-7k then whilst you drop the clutch twist the throttle and pull back on the handlebars (best in 1st/2nd gear)
@FIREBLADESrule thanks mate , tried gearing up but it didnt have enough umfff.. to keep up but now the bike is in a salvage yard somewhere and can't ride for a while (pilots license comes first now) haha
tnx i failed my first test but booked another for the 16th and iv just bought suzuki gs500e and im planing to put a kit on that do you think i will get the same speed from that on a 33bhp kit????
@stokeysk8ter the restrictor on the older ones are in the carbs and the newer ones i think its in the throttle and the ecu i might be wrong and they are brilliant bikes for new riders like i was myself i only had the bike on the road for roughly 3-4 months before i smashed the bike in the video into a bus stop haha little tip never try to rossi a bandit around a small roundabout at 70mph lmao but still wish someone was there to film it :P
Been tryin to wheelie my restricted bandit. Hav you put the rear shock on a stiffer setting? Also are you pulling up wiv your body cos I cant get mine to lift.
@djpert1 the only way i found was to dip the clutch hi-rev the bike and pop it and bingo but it doesnt have the power to carry the wheelie on in second and the bike was riding on a 35mm jack up kit with a 748 bip subframe set up and seat unit
yeah must say i agree, ive had my 2004 sv650 and to be honest it still seems really fast and i can only turn the throttle half way, 0-75 real fast after that not great, really good in towns
Go in gear one (while rolling along), hold the clutch in and rev the bike. Drop the clutch let the throttle go but hold it open half way. If done correctly you'll be wheeling along, if not it could flip the bike. There is a video which explains it on youtube, I'm just reading it off there.
ive got a bandit restrickted 2 33bhp got 115 out of mine it gets 2 about 70-75 qwick and then after that not as much pull but if you want more acceleration then re gear it put a smaller front sprocket on it and then it will fly off marke but onley 100 on top end .... my m8ts got a hornet restrickted and he has re-geard his not bad but bandit leaves it when he gets 2 about 60-70
i had a restricted bandit for a couple of months while my bike was bieng fixed, and my mate has one too. the acceleration is not that bad, you wont notice a dramatic power decrease after 50mph and top end i got about 110-115mph. my mate can get about 100-105mph but he weighs like 19 stone and i weigh 11.5 stone. i think it shoule be similar to the zxr400. in my opinion an sv650 is the best bike to get restricted- best acceleration!
is that standard gearing you are using? and what does yours rev to restricted? great wheelies too :D
calj21 6 months ago
@calj21 as standard as standard comes buddy, it revs all the way nearly or sounds as though it does and thanks dude take it easy safe riding.

i dont believe thats restricted, restricted bikes are nearly impossible to wheelie

@marcsutyou deffinately was restricted mate if it wasnt restricted id have videoed me wheeling down a motorway at 100mph lol

@marcsutyou I can wheelie a 125 with 13bhp lol

wats the top speed on a restrcited bandit 600?
Olliedfox 1 year ago
TOP speed on a restricted bandit would be about 110(maybe 115) and also it depends on the weight of the rider.
TIP- make sure your aerodynamic!
eskimodoodle in reply to Olliedfox (Show the comment) 1 year ago
@Olliedfox as the chappy above said on average it was about 110 but could hit 120 down hill

lol same got my module 2 on the 8th lol im geting a bandit 600 aswell any 1 no how fast they go 33bhp kit on???
0rizla0 in reply to stokeysk8ter (Show the comment) 1 year ago
@0rizla0 roughly 115 at a push but its the acceleration which is the best good luck with your test ANDY

Looks like 1st to me
benbay001 in reply to bullimore2007 (Show the comment) 2 years ago
It will be in 1st, a 33bhp bike won't have enough power to wheelie in second gear.
weedwhackerman in reply to bullimore2007 (Show the comment) 2 years ago
@bullimore2007 1st and just rev it and pop it

Only ever got 95mph outta mine restricted, yeh go for a sv650 restricted, thats what i got month or two ago. MUCH better then then bandit.
Finch127 in reply to robbie659 (Show the comment) 3 years ago
I've a restricted badit. Acceleration is good up 2 about 50mph. Still comfy on motorways though as there is enough left in it for overtaking.

whats the top speed when restricted? cool bike!
Grazo22 3 years ago
90-95mph/140-150kph
