Down in the states its becoming more and more certain if you are not a millionare that if you get sick even from a minor illness and you run a very high risk of bankruptcy. The British Columbia provincial government just reduced by 2,000 the number of MRI's for 2010 they would provide. Basic healthcare is MRI's and Canada can't provide.

The most agreed upon date for Canadian independance is 1867, hence the reason I mentioned it.

Um, actually, no. The war of 1812 was a conflict between the US and the British, as Canada did not exist as a nation. And it was a stalemate (the Canucks claim they burned the WH but it was British troops). 1837 was the Lower Canadian Rebellion ... against the British.
