@buTTers29851 that only happens as it is more likely that you xbox will 'wobble'if it is on its side like that and this is what damages discs. they do not scratch , scratchs are caused by grit or large dustparticles being burnt into the disc by the laser. just clean your laser once a year and youll never get a scratch :)

A good concept, but looks hastily done, and kind of messy.

I would have recommended Acrylic paint with a clearcoat.

Also, you don't need to remove the memory bays. When I painted my faceplate, I had no problems at all using them afterward. I would have also taken the time to cut exactly around the plastics in the RoL. And why cover the white sync button? I'd just paint that as well. Honestly, if your worried about the memory bay chipping or sticking, just paint separately then.

What? You remove the tape after you've sprayed it, if you want your gamer tag to be stenciled in there, and the letters will come out white. I removed the tape and didn't like the way it looked, so I just sprayed over the piece it was stenciled onto.

If the info pane is long i only read about half of it, usually they turn into rants and raves eventually..i just didnt understand why go to all that trouble just to call it quits..i would atleast try to get a vinyl sticker with your gamertag i think that would still be alright, pretty inexpensive 3-4 bux.

you also need sandpaper primer and a finish clear coat... and you just tape off the lights with masking tape and exacto knife around them...

i only sprayed it with silver spray paint. and every time i touch it the paint smudges and my finger dents it.

sounds like you used the wrong kind of paint... if in 24 hours its still like that you need to clean it off with a paint thinner... mineral sprits or xylene... then re-sand it... and use the right kind of paint... and make sure you put a clearcoat glaze on top...cristal clear enamal...

You don't necessarily have to sand it. Sanding it will make it a higher quality finish, and the paint will stick better, like you said, but as long as you give the paint long enough to dry, it shouldn't give you any problems.

You can, but you'll need to find a way to cover up the clear plastic ring around the power button as well as the power symbol in the middle of it. Otherwise lights will show, but will look diminished...
